  1. Just beat Erick, the electric gym leader. Not sure where to go next. After calming down that shiny Garbodor, I ran around to complete some of the side quests I neglected before going to the gym. Now I don't know where to go.
  2. Near the cave? I'm on that zone and I see nothing
  3. So my current team: Venusaur Alolan Muk Swoobat Lycanroc Arcanine Quagsire (If this thing didn't have Earthquake, I'd drop it by now. I need a better Water/Ground Type) I also have Dusclops and Mawile. I would at least cycle them in and out of my team if I knew their items were around. But I'm not seeing them in the item thread, so...
  4. Yeah, I'm at this point and I can't find anything. Clicked on the trees and nothing is happening. Missing something?
  5. Stuck in Black Steeple Castle, Day 2. Just got out of the cell, but can't find out where I need to go next. Searched every inch available to me, but I can't find it. I looked for youtube videos, but they're all of previous versions. Not sure if this is a bug or I'm missing something. EDIT: NM, may have figured this one out.
  6. Ah, my Meowstic is female. I foolishly thought that the Special Attack buff ability would be good, but it's really not that great in the later game unless you know a mon with Intimidate is coming out. Pretty situational ability at the end of the day.
  7. It's not even that, so much as that I could never properly set-up with mons like Meowstic and Simipour without them getting oneshotted later in the game. Elektross and Blaziken were set ups. Cherrim would have been too if it wasn't so damn frail.
  8. I know you don't need perfect mons, but in Reborn, it was getting damn near impossible. I was using a lot of lower tiers like Simipour, Cherrim, and Meowstic, all of whom go down super quick and didn't deal enough damage. I also had an Elecktross and Noivern who were better... but I mostly had to fall back on my speed boost Blaziken. Even that wasn't always a life saver. I haven't fought the most recent gym leader yet, but I got tired of putting in the effort.
  9. I know. It's a good suggestion. My team isn't exactly stunning. I might get a Lycanroc, honestly. Haven't used one of those yet. I always try to use new monsters, which is probably what doomed me in Reborn, lol
  10. It is my first time. I was thinking about Woobat, but considering that my second and third strongest are also flying types, I decided against it. Then again, early team, so maybe I'll just run a third until I kick a few of them off.
  11. Started playing this game the other day. It's pretty fun. Definitely getting a Reborn vibe from it. I was trying to get one of the special starters, but I stopped when I got a Purple Bulbasaur (The Juice). Currently raising a Pidgey, Beautifly (nice early game mon), Bidoof, and Purloin with it, though I imagine I'll switch them out sooner or later. I just want a full-ish team for the first gym. Question is, how difficult is this game? I'm all for challenge, but when I played Reborn, I reached a point in the game where unless you're using OU pokémon with perfect IVs and EVs, the game becomes too hard, and not in a fun way. I like hard mode battling, but I'd rather do it on one of the online emulators, like Showdown. In games like this, I'd like a challenging game that doesn't get so hard that I can't use "lesser" monsters. I chose Normal mode as the middle road between Casual and Hard. So far, it's not bad, but I don't know if it will get tougher or not. For somebody with my preferences, would Hard be better, or is it too much? I'm pretty sure that the dude in the tent in the first town can change the difficulty, judging by his dialogue. But I don't know if the difficulty is gonna spike or not.
