  1. I'm actually making a video on this, but the script is only half done.
S- Torchic (Speed boost bulk up strat), Froakie (Protean), Turtwig (Super early access to earthquake plus curse makes it just like a Blaziken without speed)

Worst starter is Squirtle simply because its the first starter you catch in the wild and at that point all the anti-water boss battles are behind you

Idk where y'all are getting the "Exposing Flora reduces karma instantly" thing comes from, because literally the only thing that will count towards getting the bad ending is when you

      Reveal hidden contents

exposed Flora and tried to tell Cassandra, resulting in Florin getting framed by Flora and ends up having him executed.

I've double checked-- nothing in the events where you can choose to expose Flora's secret both inside the caves and just outside of them (in Honec woods) shows that karma gets reduced by picking any other choices.

Thanks for clearing that one up, that was the only condition I didn't understand fully

  3. Ok so for starters we have all the water ones now.

for fire we still need Torchic, Chimchar and Scorbunny

and for grass we need Grookey and Snivy (Technically I also need Bulbasaur and Turtwig since my save file is from V9)

  4. Ok so I finally looked into the bad ending:

    Spoiler

Clear offers you a chance to join them during your nightmare realm if you accept the game warns that your permanently locked onto the destruction path. They tell you to not speak of this meeting and from i've seen so far that's it for now until the next episode

Refusing basically treats as if the cutscene never happened and your points are set to 99 this means there will definitely be another chance to join them in the future.

    [Spoilers for V13]

For what I have seen it looks like the bad ending happens in a certain moment in chapter 15. I was checking tvtropes to see if any info was added after the new version came out and it looks like it did (btw huge props to the one that added the info, that was really fast). There are many new bits of info there but the one that got the most of my attention was one in the "Characters" section, under the protagonist part to be exact. It talks about the "bad options" the character can take and, I suppose with enough points, you can betray your friends like it says here:

I would really like seeing someone get this part in their let's play, but let's be honest, it's really difficult to "screw up" that much not intentionally. The same thing happened with Florin's excecution, I was only able to find about it again due to tvtropes, but no playthrough had the scene because of the specific circumstances that it needed to happen.

This is why I'm sad Voltsy lost his save file, I know he didn't save amber and chose 'try to escape' and missed out on a lot of side quests

but only the events that I mentioned add towards the bad ending the rest just cripple your karma which can still be saved just by doing help quests.

  6. So the bad ending calculation is based on a point system:

Having 100 points or more triggers a bad ending (What is this bad ending? Im still trying to figure that out)

There are a few major events that add towards a bad ending:

    Spoiler

    Not saving garbodor gives 10

Not saving Gloria (the hippo) gives 10

not saving Amber at valor mountain is 10

Handing the diamond over in the destroyed future arc is 10 while trying to escape is 5

    Exposing Florina immediately gives 20

Killing Karen during her sidequest gives 10 while killing Karrina gives 20

Then there is a Karma check:

    Spoiler

Having 55 or more gives zero

Each increment of 10 below 55 gives 5 bad points

    having -10 karma gives 45

    and having -20 gives a whopping 75

(During the beta the minimum Karma requirement was 16 and having more than that would actually give you -20 points)

Finally there is a relationship check:

    Spoiler

Having negative points with the following characters each add 5 points: Melia, Ren, Erin, Aelita, Venam, Amber.

Having negative points with Tesla gives 20 (Y u gotta do the mom like dat?)

This calculation is done as MC enters their nightmare realm

In short Don't be a dick and you will easily avoid this.

That being said, theres a few Lets Players that could possibly get it (Hint Hint Hero Voltsy)

  7. While romance isn't planned I personally wouldn't mind programming in some sort of date event or maybe ones that let you form a strong bond with the character, myself. (Been writing some for Empyrean) However its alot more complicated in Reborns case due having about 4 times the amount of characters and the massive age range of said characters keep in mind that Cain is still 15.

Where did you get this data? Because I didn't use any of them and completed it within the first week of the final update, meaning my data should be included. Or was it rounded to 100%?

Regarding the game, I actually enjoyed it more than a 4/10, but a lot of your criticism is accurate. One thing that stood out to me was poor pacing, meaning sometimes the level curve was super flat, just to be super steep right after. And it's just overall not quite as clean as Reborn for example, with many little oversights - but I think especially those will get fixed in the final update (which btw was announced to bring some story changes with it too, maybe ironing that aspect out a bit). I think what pushed the game down to like a 6/10 for me was the second half, which just felt slapped on in a hurry. I think Suzerain also mentioned that he kinda lost interest in the end (which is why someone else is in charge of the final update now) - this also happened in his previous games (Zeta / Omicron), and kinda makes you appreciate how much time the final Reborn Episode takes.

the data was from the twitter of one of the devs. Insurgence is linked up to something that keeps track of stats like how many people defeated the elite 4 and how many tries it took them on average.  Im not sure if its rpgmaker.  It all gets converted into an Exel-like spreadsheet and I assumed they would use the data to balance the game if the future since they nerfed a few mons between updates.

  9. This is a pretty accurate review here's a few things ill personally add:

There's far too many delta Pokémon (almost 200) during initial development they tried to make it sound like delta Pokémon were extremely rare and passed it off as if you found a legendary.  Most of these deltas are actually garbage including 2 of the starters.  (Eevee is actually the strongest starter while its the second most picked starter due to everyone swooning over D.Charmander)  The other deltas are used due to the sheer OP'ness of the ones that were given to you in the first 2 updates.  Analytics revealed that in the first week of the final update that of all the people that beat the elite four 100% of them had one or more of the 3 following pokemon: D.Scizor, D.Gardevior, and D.Bisharp.

The first arc (Beginning - Mega rayquaza battle) was strong start and the second arc (ends at dragon ruins double battle) was also good but the final segment of the journey is where it all went wrong.  It feels like the devs either just stopped caring or did nothing for the first 18 months and then rushed to finish the game in the last 6.

The story is not mature or edgy in the slightest (it used to be) but almost half of the deaths in the game got retconned between updates to the point that there is practically no difference between the light and dark path

I wouldn't get your hopes up on the next update it is 90% a graphic overhaul and quality of life changes

  10. Frame rate was fine except for the first attack of each set (Still blaming that on Streamlabs) but combat mechanics are very enjoyable (except basic ranged attacks, that straight up feels like its not in my favor even from behind). I would say Ice Needles are either a little too op or bosses need to become agro and go fight you after taking damage since Zaharald just stood there and took it (Ironically) for 2 turns before getting taken out without even attacking. Would have liked to see just a little dip into the class system. Pretty much everything else has already been addressed here. Game is solid at the core.

    Overall

.6/10 Because you cant give Lynnoe headpats

  11. The friend bow will counter the -10% turning it back to zero the other problem is that the mon you were using is level 41 meaning your base recruitment rate is only 7.5% so if you try again with bagon if you dont have the friend bow your chance of recruitment is below zero

It's best to use ur highest level mon for recruiting legendaries
