    Questionable Pokemon Typing - Gyarados

     

    Since the very beginning, Gyarados has been a Water/Flying type. However, Gyarados was incapable of learning a Flying type move until Gen 4. Once Gen 4 hit, Gyarados was capable of learning a single Flying type move, Bounce. Then Gen 7 hit and Hurrricane was added to its learnset as well as a flying type Z-Move, Supersonic Strike. Seven generations and only three flying type moves. Sounds like they didn't plan things out, huh?

      They could've just left Gyarados a plain old Water type. Adding the Flying type literally made no difference.
