      I don't think I need to give my 2 cents in that considering how similiar Denmark and Norway are. At least that's what it looks like

      Well, I just feel a bit out of the loop when everyone is talking about how prominent a role hugging people is in their lives.

      In my case I'd say I rarely hug people. Exception being a couple friends I have that really likes hugging (Which still, they live too far from me to hug every day so).. Or maybe when saying goodbyes to specific people.
