Mar meditates on the floor in an effort to summon up the immense magical might needed to produce that much material, it is slow going, but he believes he should be able to do so. For a long time he sits motionless on the floor, a maelstrom of energies. After the Materials are actually made, he helps Alexandria where possible, being able to perform ultra precision work in a fraction of the time, where a blueprint is available.
-
"Eh, eventually you get to the point where enemies either can handle a beatdown, or are so weak that you have easy options." Dackly Shrugs. "It's good to have a lot of options. So why don't you have like, a hand cannon? That would be my first though about someone who can make explosions from their hands. That or a Mechsuit powered as such."
-
Mar creates a piece of lensite, in the shape of a half-sphere. "This substance absorbs and emits radiation and magic passing through it out through concave areas in it's whole perfectly. You could use this alongside solar cells to ensure that no radiant energy escapes harvesting." "I can also make silicon as pure as the sample provided using magic, and in limitless quantities at that. Silicon Mana is conveniently a type of magic that creates silicon when applied to silicon." Mar takes the orb and slug in hand, and channels his magics through them, creating two intriguing energies, one seems to bounce away light like a mirror, but when he drops a rock, Alexandria's advanced senses catch how the rock itself is disassembled, reassembled like a mirror, and then launched back out with equal speed. The other type seems to be some sort of glassy solid, Mar looks suprised, as he forms it into smaller and more complex structures, until eventually, he turns it to normal, takes a breath, and forms the blob of solid magic into a fractal shape, it grows smaller and smaller, until it finally passes the threshold for what Alexandria can perceive. Next, he takes out a chunk of nearly pure silicon, the same sample Alexandria provided long ago, in fact, and channels those magics into it. as the energies are infused into the silicon, something odd begins to happen, each type of mana becomes matter on the silicon's surface, The first energy becomes a silvery metal, which looks almost fluid. The second energy becomes a substance with the same coloration as battleplate, but it has a sort of fuzz all over it. Mar gingerly grabs each, and snaps them off the material sample, studying them. "Precursor Metal seems to create an energy which deconstructs matter and energy passing through it, and then acting as the correct catalysts to do so, reconstructs it and expels it. It's second attunement to silicon produces blank nanites made from silicon. They don't seem to do anything on their own." "Your Battleplate seems to produce a solid durable solid mana, which is completely precise, judging from how i was able to get over 500 recursions in a fractal pattern using it without loss of detail. It's Silicon Second Attunement shares this feature, creating a block of durable silicate that can retain extraordinary detail from the mana used to create it. That fuzz on it is actually increasingly tiny barbs and abrasions." "I can make more of either at your leisure of course." "But to summarize, whatever limitation science has on converting matter to energy, my magic holds no such stipulation, Producing matter at a slightly lower efficiency than the opposite process of converting matter into magic, which could be attributed to the nature of magic to decay into nothing, fitting with it's two defiance of natural law, in that it comes from an infinite font and goes into an infinite void over time. So I can make you as much silicon as you need for those cells." "Lastly, I only require a visible splinter of material to perform mana attunement, so even if you judge the Battleplate's Mana type as worth the sacrifice, it is much lower than you may have initially thought." To demonstrate, Mar takes out his iron sample, it is a small piece, roughly the size of a broken off toothpick tip. "I believe the Photo Cell would be the best option, considering our two sides of radiation manipulation, I can produce Silicon and shape it to your orders, and Lensite as well to shore up the inefficiencies that may arise in capturing the energy, provided we understand it's functionality well enough."

"Absolutely, What Hate has done, Love Undoes, it is my Petrification's Counterpart, Soften, Against things that are not stone, it lives up to it's name, softening them, but against targets who have been turned to stone, it restores them to their normal self. Soften however, has a side effect of it's own that I can control. When a foe would normally reach the depths of mortality, a target that has been Softened has a reserve of survivability, at the cost of strength, due to their bodies becoming much more resilient, but also rubbery and weak. So it is a second non-lethal method at my disposal, bringing my methods up to 4, Imprisonment via Petrification, Pacification via Softening, Pacification via Purification, and Manual interfacing, such as by this device!" Dackly pulls out a twisted metal cone, a bit like a dunce cap in structure, this twisted steel plate is covered in glowing green spikes, and inside of it, mechanical arms whir and glow. "This weapon allows me to pacify a target by either applying it directly, or by dropping it over their head, where automatic mechanical arms smack them senseless with poison doped clubs."
-
"Eheh, I've... Dealt with a similar problem in the past." "Intriguing. Dackly's most 'Bullshit' aspect of her power is how her Gaze Abilities only discriminate what she can percieve. It is all too likely that she could turn to stone one of your directed explosions. We have sold petrified immaterial weapons in the past as an effective cash grab, It's quite the combination when She can turn magic and energy to stone, and then I can manipulate that energy because it falls under my sphere in what is surely a loophole to make the universes weep." "Yeah, back when I wasn't a plant lady, I turned our enemies to stone because it was nonlethal and I could exploit their radiant soul energy as healing tears to empower others, and as energy to empower my own form or magical objects." "People really did not get the idea that turning a threat to stone is better than killing them off if it works at all. Half of them questioned if it was even safe! And I had been doing it for as long as I had known Gozer, so like, what, 500 years? 800?"
-
While Dackly stuffs her own face, Gozer speaks. "Intriguing. Are your limitations, that is, if you have any, hard set, self imposed to protect yourself from recoil, or self imposed to prevent collateral?" "I am an Earth Elemental, An aspect of earth itself. Dackly is a Gorgon, whose gaze inflicts petrification and other effects based on her emotions and radiation reflected from her face." "Our powers synergize well." Dackly cuts in. "Don't sell us so short Gozer! We are also not so green on Dimentional Travel, we've picked up a ton of tricks from bumming around the multiverse a tad. We've Entered into service of Nyx, Embodiment of night as one of her paladins, I learned how to parry, Gozer knows a special guarding technique for protecting himself and others, he can make invsisible psychic bombs and save em up, and we also have a special set of mechanical balloons that can take things back to base if they don't struggle too much." "And my own Gaze Abilities are Petrification from Hate and Fear in a target, Purification and Blinding from Honor and Glory, Softening from Love and Care, And explosive transmutation from a substance I no longer have access to. Oh, and I can make Magic Spears that are able to save targets suffering from corruption or assimilation thanks to Cleric-ing it up with Nyx."
-
"Yeah, the only real downside is one of those situations where your food is really questionable because sure, it could be apples transmuted into an odd but satisfying apple steak, but it could also be a bed and 7 swords transmuted into a type of steak." Dackly comments, before hefting an Altar to Nyx off Gozer's Back, and scraping half of her food into a black flame in it's center, sacrificing it. "And yeah, Making food gets you more than eating it does." She nods, before digging utensils out of a drawer, and handing them over. "So where your talents lie Navin? Everyone aboard has quite the repertoire of skills, as we have seen thus far." Gozer asks, not distracted by food with his inherent lack of need for it.
-
Gozer's curiosity is peaked, "Is your limitation born of source or substance? It might seem odd, but we have methods of producing things like meat and milk from things that are neither, using alchemy, such as turning fruit into a form of steak." Dackly's Vegetarian Meal is finished much more quickly, leading to a final product of 20 stored meals, 1 Vegetarian Stir Fry, and 2 Normal Stir Fries. "Now then, assistants and audience, Let's dig in early, the rest of those can be divvied out when we all get a chance to gather up." Dackly does something quick with her face and ends up with two stone chopsticks in a decent example of slight of hand. The smell is simple and good, a stunning contrast with her Alchemical experiments, her cooking seems to be by the book and rather straight laced, the meal is glowing pink, which Dackly assures is simply the result of love and care going into the dish's creation to ensure that the meat is soft and succulent, or that the sauce is smooth.
-
Dackly looks horrified. "Nyx Forgive me, I had no clue we had dietary needs aboard, I'm so sorry, give me a minute and..." Dackly quickly takes the remainder of the sauce from before putting it in and sets it aside, and prepares sliced vegetables in a completely separate pan, she is sweating a bit. "Will Vegetables fried in vegetable oil with Stir Fry Sauce offend your sensibilities? I really should have known better." The Normal Stir Fry is finished, and set to the side. "Haylee, could you set that stir fry into containers? about 20 should do. Put those in the Stasis Cabinet over there." Dackly gestures as she puts a touch of pepper in the pan.
-
"Sadly, no, it seems whoever Stocked this kitchen neglected to stock it with anything sweet, But, I usually eat ice chips whenever It's hot outside, we could put some ice chips or snow in the stasis cabinet up there for if we go to another desert world, and shred them with something or other if we ever get some sweets." Dackly's face briefly changes to a grimace at the incompetence in the kitchen, but quickly wipes it from her thoughts as The Vegetables finish Frying, and the Sauce is perfect, she then tosses the meat, vegetables, and sauce mixture into a single mass in the pan, and simmers them a bit more.

"How difficult would it be to convert the quantum instability into any form of matter? My magic allows for a self-contained source of electricity, It only requires a thin layer of platinum over a container and powder of any kind as fuel, Mana from my world converts fine powder into much more mana, but of a given type, while precious metals from my world convert all mana that attunes to it to it's own type, Platinum is both precious, and it's mana produces electricity, so a simple urn coated in platinum and fed with a spark of mana and a supply of dust would make unlimited platinum mana, and by extension, unlimited electricity, with no waste product." "I have magic which can directly impart heat into things, but I also have magic which can make Stones which retain heat equivalent to magmatic stone for a long period of time, and I can create intense heat, pressure and temporal dilation, like that that creates diamonds. I cannot create a hot flame, however, as I do not yet have a mana type which produces flame itself." "I have a Dense Material, Hyper Reactive Galvinium Silicate, It becomes denser in response to any form of energy, if it were thick enough, it could become dense enough to absorb radiation, because of the radiation making it become denser. Maybe Spheres of this in a tank surrounding the reaction chamber to allow expansion and shrinking without compromising integrity?" "If you have any material samples, I can help you more, depending on the sample's atomic structure, thematic association and lore or superstition." "Lastly, I can make metal and stone that can be locked to an object relative to it's position and orientation, you could use pieces of this to make objects which require no physical connections between them, if that would improve the efficiency of moving parts in a given design, maybe something like Macro-scale pseudo-quantum entanglement, along the lines of transferring energy without the failure conditions of axles and levers?"

"Well, Let's see, There's ice cream of course, which requires careful and even freezing to prevent it from becoming unsavory..." Chop Chop "There's Gelatin, which must also be cooled to solidify it..." Chop Swoosh flip chop chop CHOP "Baguettes simply MUST be prepared in a way that requires a period of frigid cold, to solidify the layers of dough and butter that lead to it's beautifully texture-rich flavor." Shwoop (pause)... Flip, plop, sizzle, sizzle... "There is also frozen pops, tasty drinks turned to solid ice, which are licked until gone, like a candy, and their brother, the shaven ice, where ice is shredded, and then sweet syrups are poured over it." Shuff scoot sizzle shuffle sizzle scoot sizzle. "Some cakes are better kept cold than hot, especially vannila ones with some odd frosting." Sizzle.... Swoop plink, chop chop chop. The meat finishes cooking in the oil, and vegetables replace it in the pan, imitating it's meaty bretheren's dance of culinary preparation. At the same time, Dackly continues simmering the sauces in a secondary pan.

"Absolutely, I have the abilities to work around any lack of tools, as is my tribe's true power, but, i lack the mechanical knowledge to apply my tools to restore and rejuvenate these engines." Mar nods to himself. "I believe a sharing of knowledge is in order, followed by you giving me instructions to follow at your benefit." "Hmm. Well, in order, if you can provide a blueprint, I can fracture any object to the specifications provided, I can also create shards of any perceivable thing, which, if they become stable, retain the properties of their former thing forevermore, or until their inner power supply runs out, should they have one initially." "I also possess an ability to produce energies that change in properties based on the materials they touch. So samples of exotic materials will enable me to achieve new levels of complex magic. Your Galvinium Sample, for example, allowed me to develop a branch of mana types which revolve around making substances react in lesser quantities of energy, supplementing reactions arbitrarily with types of produced fuel, and creating substances which act like Galvinium, but use other conditions to trigger their reaction." "I suppose the primary examples are that I have access to a ceramic which becomes denser in response to any energy input, a solid which contributes to existing processes arbitrarily, a liquid that can substitute for any fuel source at an inefficient rate, and a type of soil which forces plant growth, but also causes unhealthily high mineral content in the plant, due to absorbing the entirety of the soil so quickly, and also absorbing all of it, rather than merely the useful nutrients." "I look forward to assisting you, as my own ineptitude in technology has been frustrating me lately. I also took the time to disassemble the cannons into their constituant parts, and sort out all ruined components, ones which are clearly destroyed, I then used a strange device on board the ship to combine all of our destroyed technologies into those blocks you see. I believe they may provide slightly more usable parts, if dealt with carefully." "Lastly, I took care to take metals and technologies here for parts to aid you, provided any of them are actually needed." Alexandria would find that Mar's Explanation amounts to: 1. He can remove material with perfect accuracy, or so he claims. 2. He can create shards of things which can be visually perceived, which can retain their qualities. 3. His magic grows in scope based on material samples he has access to, Galvinium gave him access to Reactionary Control Magic. 4. He brought Tech for materials if needed.

"Ahh don't be so dismissive, you are a magic user, cooking is merely following instructions with enthusiasm and passion, did you not follow the studies of magic with enthusiasm, passion, book reading, and learning?" Dackly comments, the tip of her tail snaking into a drawer for a wide pan, which oil is poured into as the chicken is dumped inside, meanwhile, her hands are busy emptying Bell Peppers, turning them into hollow veggies to be stuffed with ground meat. "Dackly is also a spoiled brat, leading her to learn cooking to spare herself meals that fail to live up to her standards." Dackly chops a little bit harder after that, cringing slightly for a moment.
-
"Do you have booze? Alchohol is the stuff that makes all Booze intoxicating, at the same time, pure alcohol is a strong poison of sorts, it is one of the only substances that can kill anything immersed in it, but, it is actually able to kill off anything that would get into a wound, and is able to cleanse it like a liquid flame, almost It's harmless to touch, but it does cause discomfort when applied to open wounds, due to it's stinging." Dackly says, taking out her rapier and slicing vegetables, the hellfire edge doing very little to the veggies at all with this level of exposure. "It is usually made with Distillation, which is boiling something to gather it's vapors with a special device." She finishes slicing up the vegetables, and begins cutting the meat, Chicken should work nicely.

Dackly arrives in the Kitchen, Lounging on Gozer as the conversation continues between her and Hayle. At the same time, Dackly's Critical eye looks over the food available. Dackly hums and haws, before speaking. "I think I will make Stir Fry with Meat Stuffed Peppers. What do you think, Gozer?" "I don't have taste buds." "And?" "Stir Fry can be a bit greasy." Gozer admits. "Good Point. Hayle? Thoughts or ideas?, Oh, and of course, the Alcohol thing, we never concluded that."

"Well my dear, Pycrete is a substance made from 14% Sawdust, and the rest of it Ice, it nearly surpasses Concrete in durability in all ways, only failing under crushing force, and even still, being more than twice as strong as the ice that makes it up on it's own." "It's strong enough to make swords of, and I simply love the material." "It is also more resistant to heat than normal ice, but still fails eventually, when heated." "I'm rambling aren't I?" She looks to Gozer for confirmation, and he nods. She nods back. "Mixing roughly 1 part sawdust to 6 parts ice makes the ice more than twice as strong, and nearly as strong as concrete, and also makes it resistant to heat." "And that is discounting how well our powers work together, of course, just imagine it, you summoning a wall of fluffy snow, and then I turn it to a solid wall of pure stone. The power writes itself, practically, or if you could create ice magic, and not simply ice, I could petrify that, trapping the magic within the stone for a useful magical reagent..." A string of drool escapes her mouth as her single unblinking eye gazes dreamily into the distance.

--Throne Hall-- Dackly's grin grows softer. "That's the best part hun, you didn't get picked in spite of it being you, you got picked BECAUSE it was you. If you don't think you are up to the challenge, I wouldn't worry, because in this situation, we need people who have room to grow, more than we need people who are already stuck protecting their own worlds." "Sorry if you got caught off guard though, that seems to be a common theme, and I'm pretty sure only the first few people even got a real pitch for it, you know?" Her grin grows manic. "Besides! You're a cryomancer, that's so cooooool! You can make cold, I know that does not sound like much to you, but there is just SO much potential, for one, you seem to be making your own water, you have a staff already, which implies that your magic is focused externally, which opens all kinds of beautiful potential ritualistic doors, Snow Walls, Diamond Dust, Pycrete weapons and tools!" "Tell me Hayle, do you know what Pycrete is?" --Entry Hall-- As Mar gets to work, he explains. "She broke his leg with a stiff canvas, held in a solid log through tight wrapping. She had constructed an entire giant simulacrum from it, using twisted rope for it's energy and stiffened canvas as it's bones, she may have had some device to twist the ropes to build up this power, but needless to say, the construct lasted for hours and hours from the energy stored in the tight ropes, and the stiffened cloth mesh was more than hard and heavy enough to crush a man flat, and with the various woven strands and cables and ropes, she had complete control over the adamant doll, and enough speed from a method of cutting her own ropes to release sudden tension, she was able to use the silk covered fists of the mannequin to shatter trees with it's punishing blows." "And indeed, the entire thing was made more deadly by the traps the seamstress had set, through the use of pitfalls laced with nooses, and strands of string strung up like webs, which became cutting blades after a blow from her toy." "Since then, I have never trusted a tight roll of coarse cloth as a safe object." "My world has a boon for those who forgo magic in a given study, if you practice a craft or trade through your own solid and unaltered efforts, you will never reach your limits. Wood Carpenters carving wood in dimensions we cannot perceive, glassblowers making windows able to see the past and future, miners able to make drills that harvest space and time, and pierce the heavens themselves. Their devotion to a craft one day lends them knowledge beyond knowledge, while never utilizing a thaum of magic as a requirement. Of course, what turns this from pseudomagical to outright anomalous is that their works are replicable, their students as potential filled as they are."
-
"I think I can handle the... "Power Supply", And I am on the cusp of understanding the mechanical components." "It is lucky that these records are so explicit." He comments, hand to chin in pondering. "I think I can try." "And I would not discount the sheer power that simple cloth and thread can hold. One of my brethren was injured by a seamstress who used constructs of cloth that boggled my mind and made me question just how a mundanus extremus could manage such a thing without using magic or magical material." He shakes his head and looks at the materials before him.
-
--Throne Hall-- "I assure you we are, for better or worse, further away from that place than is possible within a single universe. For we are in another universe entirely, if you are not native to this one." "What that big lunk means is that you've been zipped away from wherever you were to help us and ours defeat monsters that threaten all extant creation! They are such big baddies that I can't even make friends with them. That's how bad they are." She nods, crossing her arms. "We are currently in a location known as... I never actually asked. It is a large Desert, with some foreign named town nearby." --Smithy-- Considering she has to enter the Smithy to gather those materials, she easily Finds Mar in the same place, and having shown him the ingredients and the blueprint in the Entrance hall, finds him Poring over them with a frightening intensity.
