Gotta ditto on the Xenosaga- great series for Mech/Turn based lovers, but most fighting is not in mechs. Final Fantasy anything... Jade Cocoon 1 or 2. (Not graphically rich, but gets deep and has a monster combination system that took days from my life) Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask (Okay graphically, but hey, it's Ps2.) I'll probably think of more later.
