1. Today. Though whether or not you see them is up to the leaders themselves, really.
2. It may be possible to allow some of them for challengers, but definitely not all of them. Unlike leaders, the challengers have the option to build a team with any number of type combinations and possibilities within our tiers. And while yes, leaders do review your trainer cards, they are still restricted to their type and can't synergize as well as a well constructed challenger team. Each type was looked at individually and the new additions were decided accordingly. That's why you see Steel able to use Jirachi, but not Psychic. Allowing all these for challengers too would just be out right pandemonium and on top of that we'd have to keep track of all the two slots as well. Not to mention people far in might not even want to restart anyway.
3. I'm not going to promise anything but that is something we're looking at currently. However, as there's no guarantee you'll even face these so called threats, there's also no guarantee there will be compensation. But we will discuss it.
4. It basically boils down to if the type needs it and if it would break the type. I'll use Psychic as an example again because it's an easy one. Psychic has a lot of options in terms of legendaries. Originally we had a lot more than just Mew and Celebi listed for it. Latios, Mega Latias, and Jirachi were also there. But they were quickly removed because they would break the type. Mew and Celebi are pretty passive mons, obviously you can get creative with Mew, but its restricted to using two slots so Psychic loses out on other options. Jirachi is also overkill on Psychic because of its many roles from a scarf pivot, wish support, etc. Not to mention its move pool. Whereas on steel it's kind of outclassed by Bronzong in its support role because of how amazing levitate as an ability is for it. And the leader doesn't lose two slots for using Bronzong either. However, Steel also lacks reliable recovery on a lot of its Pokemon so Jirachi would help with that. We'll still be monitoring Jirachi on Steel because Wish support can't really be ignored, but its less of a problem here than it is on Psychic. Baz explained some of the others, but if you are curious about any more feel free to ask.
5. They were tested against teams they would likely be used against.
-
Hello people. Quinn/Joker(discord) here bringing you a pretty major update regarding Redemption league. A lot of you are aware of the break we took last weekend. There were two reasons we took that break. One of course was to help prevent burn out and give our leaders and staff a little vacation. The other was something that could be a little controversial. When we were spit balling ideas for Season 3 the idea of allowing legendaries came up. Opinions were mixed at first but after some testing we decided to allow quite a few of them. However, there were some we outright said no to without even giving them a chance, or even trying to balance it. So, we took a break to further test some of these legendary pokemon. We've tested these said Pokemon for two weeks, well most of them. There are still a few we need to touch on, but we wanted this out there before league started as I mentioned. Here comes the controversial part. While the previously allowed legendary Pokemon are allowed for both leaders and challengers, these new additions will only be allowed for leaders. Trust me, I know what you're thinking. "Leaders are hard enough already!" These additions may be a buff, but it's not necessarily to make your challenge harder. Some of these are to add some variety or help the leader deal with threats they otherwise struggle with. And should something actually pose way to big of a problem we can always re-ban them. That said, there's no guarantee these Pokemon are used against you. We're gonna make sure the leaders don't go overboard with them, and on top of that we do have restrictions for some of them as well. What I mean by that is that some of these legendaries will require both slots of the leaders legendary allowance. Essentially, if they use one of these two slot Pokemon they are only allowed that Pokemon on that team.
Example: Say Jasper wants to use Mewtwo(we're not allowing Mewtwo don't stress). Mewtwo would take two slots. So Jasper couldn't use Mewtwo and say, his ace, Meloetta on the same team. However, he could use Meloetta and Latias on one team as they are only one slot each.
With all that said, and hopefully clear to understand, lets dive into the new shit. I will mark every Pokemon that takes two slots with an asterisk(*), and add "testing" after anything we're still working on.

Update:
BIGGER NEWS!
We're allowing the following legendaries for CHALLENGERS! Mew, Celebi, Zygarde-10(Zydoge), Nihilego, and Zeraora! These are ALL one slot mons so you could combine them with another legendary. Furthermore, we're allowing you all to change one Pokemon on your team. However, there is just one little restriction. The mon you change to must share one move with the mon you're replacing. And to be clear, the mon you change to has to be a completely different one, otherwise it would just be a move change. You're free to make this change whenever you like until you earn a badge from any leader. So use it wisely, or don't. Up to you, really.

I hope you guys are having fun now that Redemption has officially started, but we're not done yet folks. Today I'll be bringing you another leader reveal, and also the first bracket 4 leader. So if you're standing up you better sit down, and if you're already sitting down stand up and then sit down again because it's about to get CraAaAaAaAZY!
Jessica
Type: Normal
Badge: Harmony
Jessica here is a very ambitious reporter that never fails to get her scoop. She loves interviewing people so don't be shocked if she approaches you and starts asking questions. Her friend here is Mr. Wiggles, and as you can probably tell he's a real hard ass. He enjoys smoking cigars and beating the shit out of people. Jessica usually keeps him under control but if there's a person Mr. Wiggles REALLY doesn't like then she's powerless to prevent what follows. Some of Mr. Wiggles triggers include: bright lights, people who vape, dark types, dark type trainers, chihuahua's, 240p video quality, people who film vertically with their phones. I could go on but I'd be here all day. Jessica and Mr. Wiggles probably won't be around server side much until people start approaching b4, but if you see them be sure to say hi! Lastly, from this point forward Jessica will be taking over the leader reveals. She will also be covering everyone's favorite Redemption Weekly!
That said, it's your boi Quinn signing off
and not because this stupid reporter stole my job forcefully or anything either. -

Pick your favorite DRV3 Ultimate from the poll, and feel free to comment who and why. Just don't spoil anything from the game please. My pick is Rantaro Amami, though Kokichi Oma is a close second.

Hi. Time for the last leader reveal before league kicks off. Brackets 4-6 will start being announced once bracket 4 is unlocked. Now onto the reveal itself. I mentioned this one not being expected, and now you get to find out why. Here we go.
Fabian
Type: Water
Badge: Typhoon
Fabian has prepared an introduction too! How thoughtful. I'll leave you with his words.
"Oh, sorry I wasn't looking down, my bad. I'm Fabian, it's...quite something to meet you lot, for some I guess. Can't say I'm impressed. Call me a historian, been obsessed with it ever since I was a kid. It's why I like Water types so much, of course. All living things originate from the sea, yet there are still mountains of unknowns left untouched. I mustn't ramble on though, I'm sure your minds can't take much more before dozing off anyways. Want my badge? Just try and take it. Amuse me."
-
Alright you goons, listen up. Azery wanted the next reveal on Tuesday, but since I don't take orders from SCRUBS I'm doing it a day early. You're welcome.
Helen
Type: Rock
Badge: Tugtupite
I'll leave you all with a message from Helen herself. Ahem.
"HEY WHATS UP EVERYONE I'M SO EXCITED TO BE BACK!! OH MOUNTAIN MAN IS PRETTY STOKED TOO JUST LOOK AT HIM!! ANYWAYS I GOT MOUNTAINS TO CLIMB AND ROCKS TO SMASH HELEN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!"
Little known fact: Helen gets so pumped up she can fly for a short period of time.
The next and final reveal until after league starts will be later this week. So look forward to that. I will say that this one will be someone you wouldn't expect. Get to speculating. :]

Alright people we got a fresh new leader ready to be shown to the public and this one may have certain people feeling sad. If you liked Penelope then you better start grieving cuz SHE OUTTA HERE! Penelope decided to focus solely on her museum and thus left the team. Though given her interactions... or the lack there of, I'd say she wasn't too interested anyway. That being said, here's the new leader!
SpoilerGOTTEEM. Okay for real this time. Here's the actual new leader!
SpoilerGET REKT SON! Okay, I'm done for real now. I'll actually introduce the actual leader. For realsies. I promise!
SpoilerKen
Type: Dragon
Badge: Sacred
Ken is here to, uh... well, to have fun! He's a laid back guy who likes Pokemon, especially Dragons. Other than that he lives a relatively calm life working at a bakery, playing games at home, and jogging every day (bro). Speaking of, he's actually surprisingly fit, and he uses that to help those around him. Ken here is a very good samaritan and finds himself helping others quite often whether it being willingly or because of his abnormal luck. His luck works in mysterious ways, maybe you'll see that sometime. With him around it's not hard to have a good time!
Ken is our first bracket 3 leader! So when you see him be sure to provide him with a warm welcome!
Stay tuned for the next leader reveal!

What up it's ya boi bringing you yet another leader reveal and this time it's the final bracket 2 leader. Now I did say the next leader would have a legendary as their "Ace" and I wasn't lying. Ya'll ready? The next leader is...
Jasper
Type: Psychic
Badge: Clairvoyance
This dynamic duo is looking to turn all the scream and wails they'll likely cause you with the
unfortunate psychic buffinto inspirational music. Is Jasper that cruel though? He doesn't seem like it, but everyone has their secrets. Hopefully he'll be up to the task too. And as long as he can make Azery suffer again I'd call it a win. Anyway Jasper joined late into season 2 and didn't gain much traction but he's hoping he can gain some friends among you challengers and do better! With that out of the way I'll leave the updated silhouette here as well as in the original post above so you scamps can speculate who's left. And I'll even drop you a juicy spoiler for the next reveal. It's a new leader never before seen before. So get hyped for that I guess.
-
Back again suckers, and I'm here to drop yet another reveal on you. Originally I was going to wait a week but in order to have b1-b3 revealed in time for league start I have to reveal some sooner. Lucky you. Anyway, smack dab in the middle of bracket 2 we have everyone's favorite monarch:
Ariel
Type: Fairy
Badge: Regal
The princess returns! Or whatever Ariel prefers to be called. Silly is back too, look how cute it is. It's ready to drop Hyper Voices on everyone!

Are you struggling with a certain leader? Do you have team regrets and a move token just won't fix it? Look no further! I am here to present to you, dear fair challenger, the restart thread. Some of you may be familiar with it, some of you may not know what's going on. That's okay. The restart thread here offers many a second, third, fourth, however many chances you need until you get it right. It's very simple, you just post the team you wish to restart with here in this very thread along with any changes to your trainer card you wish to be made. Once you restart though, all badges won and any move tokens you earned throughout your challenge will be forfeited leaving you to earn them again. With all that said, you won't be able to officially restart until league opens up Friday, October 13th.
If you haven't signed up for Season 3 of Redemption yet and wish to do so please take a look at this topic here:
And if you have any questions feel free to direct them all to @Doug Dimmadome

Yo what up it's your boy Quinn here ready to deliver some sweet leader goodness on your precious souls. You thought we were just revealing bracket 1? Nah son we're getting real as shit this time. From now until league starts on the 13th of next month I'll be revealing every leader up to the end of bracket 3. Once league starts and people start to approach bracket 4 I'll begin revealing the rest of the leaders, including the champion regardless of if anyone is close to them or not. Lets begin, shall we?
Olivia
Type: Grass
Badge: Foliage
There isn't much to say about Olivia this time around other than she's sporting a clean new look. I'm sure Epic C will be overwhelmed!
Stay tuned as I'll reveal the next bracket 2 leader next week! Will it be a new face or a returning veteran? Spicy!

I will say, despite sometimes not sounding like it, despite sometimes despairing, overall, I definitely had a lot of fun participating in my first ever league. I was pleasantly surprised that the team that I used ended up performing as well as it did and, while I probably won't bring as serious a team next season, I hope that I will get to have fun.
That said, though, there is a question lingering on my mind: On the last day, the three strikes system, how will that work for people challenging the X-League?
The 3 strike system only applies to those with 13 or more badges that have not yet beaten the league. As X-League challengers will be able to participate in Season 3's X-League right away if they choose, much like how Season 1's X-League challengers could challenge Season 2's X-League as soon as it was fleshed out. Our X-League rules are set now so X-League should be an option right from the start when that time comes.

Alright, people. I got some sad news. As you can probably gather, the Redemption League will be coming to a close. The staff have decided upon Sunday, June 11th, as our final day of league activity. It's becoming increasingly difficult for staff to remain available to help run the league, and leaders are getting burned out. We've had a pretty good season this time around, and lots of memories were made. Of course, I won't end this on such a sad note. If you recall our April Fools event, we had a 3 strike system in place for battles. On June 11th, if you have at least 13 badges you'll be allowed the very same 3 strikes and you're out system. This is to give challengers closest to the champion a sort of... boss rush challenge in hopes of becoming a champion! I realize it's somewhat unfair to only allow those with B6 access this deal, but you have to understand if we allowed everyone leaders would easily become very swamped and may not be able to get to everyone. With all that said, we do have plans for another season! So while this one is nearing its end, you'll have Season 3 to look forward to in the future. A season with even more challenges and surprises than this one! We at Redemption HQ appreciate everyone for taking on the Redemption League, and we hope you had a blast, and continue having fun until Season 2's end on June 11th!
