  1. Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi was disappointing.

First thing I should answer; Is it better than the Force Awakens? The Answer is a Big Fat No. The Force Awakens was bad, I acknowledge that. This, however, took it to new levels.

The Plot seemed like something out of a bad M. Night Shyamalan film, the difference being that the plot twists didn't even try to make the film more interesting.

The Characters were worse than the last film. Snoke was disappointing; He was built up to be this powerful, giant being, but it turns out that he's a suffering old man who doesn't expect it when his apprentice finally kills him. Rey is still as flawless as ever. Finn remains my favorite of the new characters, but they wasted him like they did in the last film. If they were trying to write a romance between him and Rose, then It was worse than the romance in Attack of the Clones. At least that gave us a memorable line about Sand. Here, I don't think it was well developed, and it was a bore to watch.

It dragged on for far too long. I was pretty much waiting for it to end, and was relieved that it ended.

Visually, it looks good. The CGI looks really good, but I could hardly tell that all of the creatures were indeed made with practical effects. I honestly feel as if special effects should not be considered above the writing for the film. This film, however, did not focus enough on the writing and more on the effects.

How did this get a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes? Are the Critics Drunk?

I give this film a 3 out of 10. Terrible. Worse than the Force Awakens. Worse than All 3 Prequel Trilogy films. Worse than Jar Jar. Worse than Return of the Jedi and Ewoks. Worse than Rogue one. Not necessarily the worst Star Wars film, though. The Clone Wars movie and The Holiday Special still exist.

Maybe my opinion will change with time. Maybe I'll grow to like this movie more. The Empire Strikes Back was initially poorly received, but now it's considered one of the best movies of all time. But, for now, I hate this movie.

I am Obi Wan, and Anakin is Rian Johnson.
