  1. I couldn't believe what they told me, that the Reborn Forums were a great place with an awesome community. Guess I was wrong.

I am looking for something deeper, some mon that would apreciates having Latis and Bulky Water types dead and also that can help MAmpharos checking Ground and Fairy; I tested Scarf Keldeo but it was a total let down

You know the drill, when in doubt, consider Lando-T.

Lando-T Works well with Mega Amphy, both the Agility set and the RestTalk Vswitch set. It can help set up rocks and switch in on ground types, and it like to have fat waters and Lati gone. Both have a bad ice weakness, however, so Scizor is an excellent pick that can also complete the U-Turn core.

I don't know how I didn't realised that, being Landorus-T the king of usage in OU with Garchomp its queen, such a weird ship

  3. While it is true that the core struggles with fast poison mons, the function of it is to deny and hit back all of the priority users that love to send Mega Diancie back to the ground and not to resist this mons. Obviously the core will have some flaws, you shouldn't expect the core to be as solid as a full 6 members team; I personally run on a team with this core Scarf Jirachi and AV Torn-T to deal with that. Last but not least , the only sludge bomb/wave users on OU are Gengar, MVenusaur and some Volcanions wich all of these 3 can be dealt with AV Torn-T and Scarf Rachi but it wasn't my intention to do a 4 pokemon core as I found it a bit pointless.
  4. A really cool OU balanced core that helped me to understand how balanced cores worked and how to use properly Mega Diancie: Mega Diancie + Rocky Helmet Tangrowth Portable The science behind the core is quite simple, Mega Diancie will do what Mega Diance does, bouncing enemy status moves and hitting very hard with its stabs and hybrid spread that lets her OHKO Charizard-X with Diamond Storm with only just 8 evs on attack. Tangrowth will answer all of the priority users that threaten Mega Diancie like Scizor, Azumarill, Breloom and AV Metagross and cripple them with the Rocky Helmet recoil. It also got passive recover with Regenerator in every switch. With the right combination of Earthquake/Earth Power and both Hidden Power Fire, this two mons can lure common switches to them like Heatran, Ferrothorn and Jirachi. I personally like to run this team with an AV Tornadus-T as it makes also a good Regenerator core with Tangrowth and provides momentum with U-Turn but it is not that important as a Mega Diancie partner as Tangrowth is.
  5. Because this is my first serious post I won't start it singing "Guess who's back" from Eminem but Arceus knows what lies ahead. Let me introduce you, ladies and gentlemen, this balanced team that has provided hours of fun and victories to both my dear Pokemon rival Lugruf and me: Portable It all started with the vision of sweeping my foe's dreams and teams away with a Dragon Dance Mega-Tyranitar so I decided that a MTtar - Zone core would be the first step: Dragon Dance Mega Tyranitar: Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Dragon Dance - Stone Edge - Ice Punch - Crunch Let me introduce you to this friend of mine, he likes to set up on Latis after a Draco Meteor and proceed to humilliate the enemy team. This thing hits like a truck at +1, you will find that without checks like Keldeo, Skarmory or Ferrothorn this thing ends the game in a rush. The spread is quite simple, max speed allows you to reach 397 speed at +1, outspeeding anything below 130 base speed wich is huge. Max atack gives you the power of the gods, hitting hard enough to OHKO Mew and Reuniclus with Crunch, Tankchomp and Gliscor with Ice Punch. Stone Edge gives you a strong stab that some of you may argue is a bit worse than Superpower or Fire Punch for coverage issues but I have found that SE works great in this team. Choice Specs Magnezone: Magnezone @ Choice Specs Ability: Magnet Pull EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe - Flash Cannon - Volt Switch - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [Fire] Magnezone allows you to trap and OHKO Steel mons like Scizor, Skarmory and Ferrothorn that would give trouble to Mega Tyranitar if they remain alive. I run max speed so I can outspeed some Tyranitar and Fast Scizor providing then a crucial OHKO or momentum with Volt Switch. Once it has done it's job, you can use Magnezone for luring Hippowdon with Flash Cannon and hitting between switches, it also makes a good death fodder in late game. Baton Pass Leader Celebi Celebi @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 HP / 220 SpD / 36 Spe Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Baton Pass - Giga Drain - Thunder Wave - Stealth Rock This thing is huge, I am in love with this little green onion. Thunder Wave and Stealth Rock makes Celebi a huge utility leader, but the sweetness of the set resides on Baton Pass. You can scout what your opponent is going to do, you can react to his predictions and switches! Plus giving countless chances to bring Magnezone and trap a Skarmory or a Scizor. This Celebi has made my experience in ORAS OU a lot more funnier. It is also a huge counter to BD Azumarill, Keldeo and a kind of check to Mega Diancie and other special attackers. Giga Drain allows you to not be full countered by taunt and I prefer it over Seed Bomb for the recovery that it brings me. Natural Cure allows me to be a status sponge and specifically counter Rotom-W. Offensive Support Latias: Latias @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Draco Meteor - Psyshock - Defog - Healing Wish At this point, I realised I needed a defogger and a better check to fighting and fire moves. I saw in Latias the perfect mon for the role as I was able to hit really hard with LO Draco Meteor mons like Tankchomp or Rotom-W and it allows me to be a bit more reckless with Mega Tyranitar as long as I can heal it back with Healing Wish. There is not that much to say about Latias, it is a good filler Pokemon that brings the team huge support and check to multiple types of moves. Choice Banded Azumarill: Azumarill @ Choice Band Ability: Huge Power EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe Adamant Nature - Play Rough - Waterfall - Aqua Jet - Superpower "A below 650 attack Azumarill is not a true Azumarill" Lugruf. This little blue demon, with its most standard set, has won me countless battles. Strong priority, good typing, and an amazing bulk. Azumarill makes holes through balanced and HO teams with all the fury that someone can expect for a lovely bunny. It is the last piece of my SFD and FWG core. I love to bring it to Heatrans and Keldeos or other mons that would try to burn me just to be revived with Latias. Stallbreaker Infernape: Infernape @ Leftovers Ability: Blaze EVs: 248 HP / 88 Def / 128 SpD / 44 Spe Jolly Nature - Flare Blitz - Taunt - Slack Off - Will-O-Wisp I always struggle when it comes to chose the sixth member of the team, I was looking for some kind of stallbreaker and a way to deal with bug and dark types and I ended up with this hard counter to Weavyle, Scizor and Bisharp. Taunt + Slack Off + Will-O-Wisp allows me to worn down stall mons like Chansey, Skarmory and Tankchomp. The spread allows me to tank Knock Offs from LO Weavyle and Bisharp like nothing and to check Dark Pulse users like MSableye or Specs Hydreigon. I decided to run Flare Blitz over Flamethrower or Low Kick so I could choose the perfect moment for Blaze to activate and have some unpredictable kills in Landorus-T for example. Conclussion This is my first but not last try on RMT forums, I know some explanations are vague and I probably left behind important points or calculates. I also would like to say that while I consider myself quite good at teambuilding (Humble mode: Off) I know that this teams won't go further than 1600 at the OU ladder. Without anything more to say I ask you to give any type of feedbackm, everything would be apreciated. Cya in the next RMT.
  6. Just saying "Hi, I exist" 'cause I was told it would be a good idea to do so
