    Pokemon Event Trigger

    So I spotted Teddiursa last night on its first location, but didn't bother to catch it then.

    The next night, I saw Zangoose in one of the alleyways and chased it once. I tried to look for it, but since I didn't have access to Obsidia just yet, I couldn't check the other places where it could be.

    So I tried to change my time to a clear night to look for Teddiursa again but I've checked all six locations where it could be and didn't find it.

    Did finding Zangoose that one time in any way affect Teddiursa's event?

    I've already gotten the first badge AND Cut now but can't seem to find Teddiursa (clear night) nor Zangoose (rainy night). Restarting the game might help me but yeah, can there only be one event at a time?

    Resolved: Well never mind. I think an event resets if you don't finish it till you get the Pokemon. I saw Teddiursa again in its very first location after I finished getting Spoink. Now to look for Zangoose...

    Ooooh! What is this Pokemon Version??? OwO

    No worries about that, only the people that know what they are doing are doing it. The process is pretty simple, I don't think there IS anything that can be messed up.

    And even if something somehow DOES happen, there's the back-up save system, so yeah.

    I suppose that works. It's cool how some people know how to do that. I certainly don't. /).(\ Hehe~

    What Pokemon can't you get now that you can get before?

    Posted this here instead of the On The Hunt forum since I'm wondering about Pokemon you can't get anymore in Episode 15.

    So... I know of a few...

    - Magikarp (because OP splash)

    - Mudkip (other than as a starter)

    - Bulbasaur (other than as a starter)

    Oh I also heard you could get Togepi at 100% chance from some sort of quiz.. but is now replaced by... um.. I forgot. :wacko:

    Same with Azurill, just now that there are 17 Pokemon in competition with it. :P

    And was Tentacool something you could fish with an Old/Good Rod before?

    Are there others? :blink:

    I don't think you can get a Ditto at this point in time so...

    Try getting a Female Sunflora and breed it with either a Male Sunflora or any other suitable Grass (?) Pokemon. I remember using Bellsprout for this. Because the egg always follow the mother Pokemon. Unless its Ditto.

    It IS offline, but you can upload your save and people can do that for ya, if you find someone to trade with. Check the Trading Service topic for details (use the search feature to find it). Though a trade feature is supposed to be put into the game in E16/17.

    That is interesting. I'll check it out. Although I'm a little worried about having people mess with my save. Something bad might happen. /).(\

    Which one is the save file?

    So I want to start a New Game without losing my current progress in case I want to go back to it.

    I read somewhere to search for the file 'game.rxdata'. But when I did, there's also a hundred other saves in there. Am I supposed to just rename the folder containing all of those or move/rename just that one file called 'game.rxdata'?

    D'aww! Thank you all for the warm welcome! It's pretty late where I'm from so I didn't think I'd be garnering any replies so soon. Then in my sleepiness, I forgot that there's a thing called timezone. /).(\

    And don't worry, a bit later on in the game, you'll fight Trainers that aren't hobos and will give more money. c:

    Oh yes I was checking one out earlier! I think it was called Pokemon Rejuvenation. I'm still working around this game currently though but I look forward to checking out and playing other Pokemon Fan games. ^_^

    -And to address some of the things you said, the 500 posts thing has been changed to 750 posts and having a 6-month-old account.

    -Money is pretty useless in the game. You'll need it for basic supplies early on, maybe some stuff from the Department Store and a shortcut way later that takes 40k to unlock. You'll be raking in that useless dough soon enough~

    -Check out the Trading Service topic in the Team Showcase section. The Growlithe event does give you one of 18 different things, but just because you got something you don't like doesn't mean you can't trade it in for something else. And a lot of people that get a Larvesta or something make a small army of them just for trading, so it shouldn't be that hard for you to get a bargain with someone.

    -Warning points are only given for things that are against the community rules (iirc) (you have a link to the rules to the left, where your messenger and stuff are).

    - Wow. 750 posts and 6 months. I can do that. Hopefully. :P Well, just enjoy the forum and it'll just come to me.

    - ... You can trade Pokemon to other players already? Eh? I thought Pokemon Reborn is just all offline (for now).

    - Yes I was warned on my very first post here about the community rules. Hehe. /).(\

    Hello there! I *try* to keep it short. And my friend isn't fond of forums so he lurks more often than not. :ph34r: He's a ninja.

    I try to pull away from the blue (despite it being my fave color... cause blue is awesome). I still answer to it from habit. :P

    Personally, I love how you even have the option to get Pokemon thru events. They have little stories of their own, which makes me more interested in the game. It's also refreshing having to not walk back and forth at a certain spot just to be able to get that one Pokemon you want to make part of your collection.

    As for things I DON'T like about Pokemon Reborn:

    1) Speed. I mean, sure you get a bicycle later on, but it's still so SLOW. And then the Surf takes forever to move. Wish there was a key that functioned like the Spacebar for the emulators of older versions of Pokemon.

    2) That Growlithe Event. I dislike the notion of chance. One out of eighteen Pokemon from the list.. Meh. Lottery for other currency or prize items are fine and dandy but when you're not even sure what Pokemon you're getting... you can't help but get disappointed if it turns out to be a Pokemon you could get later (for collectors) or you plainly just don't want.

    3) Not being able to get back to pre-Agate Circus Town until you finish Episode 15. :feelsgn:

    Would loading the game to a previous episode work?

    ...If I remember correctly, you need to beat Samson to be able to use Surf.. which you need at least to get into the next town.

    Best bet would be to train another Pokemon if you have the patience to.

    Or use an alternate item, if available, in the Agate Circus Town. Like Cotton Candy for revives, Berry Ice Cream for better heals. It's just more expensive though.

    Nice! Taking my sweet time playing. :P

    I don't remember about move animations, but the Pokemon moving animations from BW were indeed taken out. Maybe somebody who remembers the old episodes knows.

    Well I do hope my PC can handle those wonderful new animations. Just a little worried about possible game lag, s'all. Hehe.

    Just in case you were wondering squirtle replaced mudkip in it's location and chikorita replaced bulbasaur in it's location and are no longer available. However as stated by author you can revert to a previous version of the game that was before the change then you can get them. But getting previous versions of the game is very difficult if at all possible without going to another member and getting it from them.

    If you've already gotten Squirtle and Chikorita, then switched to a previous episode, will you still be able to re-trigger the event to get Mudkip and Bulbasaur?

    Consequently, if you started with previous episodes to get Mudkip and Bulbasaur, can you get Squirtle and Chikorita in E15?

    Last week, my friend introduced me to Pokemon Reborn. And the title was my reaction.

    I thought it was something that needed an emulator. I never played farther than Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald because... I hated the two screens for DS.

    Anyways, I've been lurking a little here and there, posting randomly. Took me a while to post this since... I was playing the game itself. It can be very distracting, you know? :P

    Decided to make a 'Welcome Me' thread because... why not

    Well, I read something about having 500 posts but I wanted to make legit posts if I can, and this counts so here I am!

    So hello there! I'm Avarice! (I usually use 'Sapphire' as a username but it can get confusing. And there may or may not be conspiracy theories made about that name because... Amethyst. o3o)

    Very First Impressions with Pokemon Reborn:

    1) OOOH RANDOM POKEMON APPEARED ON THE STREET! Must chase desu! :ph34r:

    2) Lol what. Ow. Gym leader, why you hit so hard?

    3) I have no monies. ._. Forever hobo. Q_Q

    Basically those three.

    No worries. Contrary to the last two first impressions (see what I did there hehe), I am still very much enjoying this complexity from this unique Pokemon game.

    Like my (current) name, I'm fond of collecting Pokemon. I'd be taking so long, walking back and forth in the wild forest/sea/caves or close to the daycare center hatching eggs. Basically getting all the Pokemon I can. So I really loved how some Pokemon can be gotten from events. It's a fresh, not boring, and oftentimes plot-filled way to obtain them. Me likey so much desu.

    I actually plan to start a new game because I got a Pokemon that can be found later in the game from the Growlithe event. I really hate to waste a chance to get a Pokemon you can't get later (currently, anyways. I know Ame's bound to place currently unobtainable Pokemon into the game).

    And the NPCs in the game... are not useless to talk to. Like, it's not at all testing my patience most of the time since what the other characters in the game say are interesting and/or can be used as hints to continue on into the game.

    The character development and conspiracy plots in this game are just... WOW.

    ...Oops. Noticing now that my post is getting long.

    All this in an essay just to force you all to welcome me. :D
