I guess the trade-off is that navarre is not exactly top tier, unless his bst is off the charts, with his skills.

For sure. He's probably average (I haven't done any in depth research into him yet) so it would make sense that his battle would be easier that some of the others. I'm just happy to have him if only for the art.

On an unrelated thought, do you think we'll ever end up getting any of the beast folk in this game? I kind of think we won't, as they would probably already be in here if they were. Plus they would need to be similar to the dragon kin, but they seem a little absent.

That and Gregor. Where the heck is my Swell Sword.

  2. Get Awakening first. If you ever decide to get Fates, get Birthright then Conquest. I haven't played Revelations, so I can't support or deny it. Echos isn't out yet, so it's hard to say if it's good or not.

I actually really like Beruka....in Fates. I don't ever pull her because my 3* green is always Bartre.

    See, Combat?

Camilla's character is a very decently executed one with two very large reasons nobody seems to see. It may not be necessarily agreeable, but the flawed parts of her writing save for Avatar lovefesting is incredibly hinting that Camilla has layers more than it is she's a terrible person or that it's bad writing. It's a shame her model already puts people off before she can even get a word in edgewise.

I have my problems with her sexualization - all the way back to the time Fates teased you for picking Birthright by not only giving you a runway cutscene in Cheve, but almost allowing Camilla to join you after that fight. Or how the ending cutscene in conquest features the player's point of view running SMACK INTO her chest. People that appreciate Camilla as a character don't like that aspect of her too (unless that's the reason they LIKE Camilla to start with.)

I liked Beruka enough in Conquest to marry my Corrin to her for my first play through, so that should tell you something. It's just I know it would be an uphill battle, and all that matters to me right now is getting feathers.

If I give Camilla any hatred, its not really towards her, but her design. One of the worst things that can happen is have a fan service character who is either useless, or has no personality what's so ever. Thankfully, most Fire Emblem characters do have personality, and Camilla does have more than just loving Corrin. I think my issue is how big her fan base has gotten that doesn't care about anything but her appearance. A week or two ago, one of my roommates was talking about how sexy she was and how he was going to marry his Corrin off to her. While that's fine, I have a feeling that's the general thoughts backing her. For God's sake, they have her in a bunny suit now. You don't put someone in a bunny suit to enhance their character.

Of course, I also believe it's messed up for Corrin to marry any of his or her siblings from either side. I don't care if you haven't seen them in years, it's still a little messed up. I quit watching The Flash because of a similar situation to this, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

In the end, nothing I'm saying means I'm going to stop using her. She's a pretty great unit in both Conquest and Heroes. I'm not daft enough to have her design make me stop using her.

(Sorry for going on a tangent part way through.)

@Combat Go to Unlock Potential and select Olivia, it should show you what her 5* start stats will look like and compare it here https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/hero/olivia

Ah, yes. That makes more sense. According to that, she would have high defense, but low attack. Everything else would be in the middle then. That does make me wonder if she would be worth making five stars. If people like making her a fighter, it might not be wise to do so on one that has low attack. On the other hand though, that extra defense might round it out. What do you think? She'd most likely end up being on a team with Camilla, Cordelia, and Jeorge if I do.

    @Combat You know her IVs?

No idea. I never got the information when I first got her, so it's a little hard to tell now. At level 27, she has HP: 26, Atk: 27, Def: 20, Spd: 24, and Res: 17. Is her IVs just a what's highest, what lowest type thing, or does it go deeper than that? (Sorry for not knowing, I rarely get this invested in a games meta, even in Pokemon.)

If I'm aloud to throw my two cents in, I'd need to say that I really don't like Camilla. Besides the fact that she's a blatant fan service character... Actually that's the biggest reason for me. I think it's compounded by the fact that she's kind of made to be our character's/Corrin's sister just feels weird too. If she weren't so sexualized, her personality would be ok, and if it weren't for her personality, they could probably get away with her design. Plus, you don't usually expect fan service in a Nintendo game (this kind, nostalgia fan service is a little different in my opinion.)

I'll probably go with Hinoka or Cordelia. Beruka would be my vote, but there's no way she'll make it past round one.

also COmbat... is that the free Olivia or is it one you rolled? IVs... kinda matter in the 5* feather game. If it was the one you got from the free amps all of her IVs are neutral and that's probably okay. But otherwise well ye... XD.

She was a pull I got early on. I believe she was a four star. So once I get enough, I'll power her up.

    Oh whoops.

This is why aliens don't visit us.

In completly unrelated news, I'm almost at 20,000 hero feathers, which means I can finally evolve another one into a five star. Would my Olivia be a good candidate?

  8. Ocarina of Time is a fine "first" Zelda. If you want an easier one, go with Wind Waker. Some people hate the style, but I love the toony vibe. Phantom Hourglass is also a good game (and is much, much better than Spirit Tracks.) Twilight Princess is universally well received, and although I think it gets a little too much hype, I also enjoyed it.

Most of the game boy Zeldas are kind of hard, so I wouldn't recommend starting there. In fact, anything before Ocarina is kind of difficult.

Link Between Worlds is great if you want to play an easier version of Link to the Past, and is unique enough to warrant being its own game.

Only play Majora's Mask after you beat Ocarina. It's a direct sequel, and has a new mechanic to it.

If you don't have a Switch or a Wii U, wait to buy Breath of the Wild. The Switch will probably get a new, superior version of itself in a year or two that will have a better battery life, be bigger, ect. I've only heard good things about Breath of the Wild.

  9. You know, I'm fine with fan service (in moderation), but I feel a little uncomfortable with this event. I can't really put my finger on why, but I just do.

As for upcoming goals, I'd like to get my main team up of four stars up to level forty so they could clobber any upcoming grand hero battles with strength alone. I could care less abut stats, I just like having interesting characters.

    And Sacred Stones characters please...

  10. You know, I both love and despise how skill inheritance is a thing now. On one hand, we can get stronger units, but on the other hand, so can the computers. I kind of prefer to keep my discount RPGs as simple as possible, so ehh...

On a completely unrelated note, my team just got annihilated by an arena match that stuck me against three five star Takumis and an Olivia. That was one of the worst experiences I've even had in a mobile game.

  11. Silence you fool, lest you bring down the wrath of the creator! Do you wish doom upon us!

All joking aside, it will probably be a while off before the next episode comes out, since it will probably be an entirely new area that we haven't seen yet that will probably focus more on plot than side quests. Episode Sixteen did just come out too, so it would make sense that the developers would want to step back and take a breather.

Plus who knows what will happen this April Fool's Day...

  12. For me, it comes down to three classes.

Sword Master: Really, saying you don't like dual wielding is like saying you don't like ice cream or kitten, if you don't like it, you're probably allergic. And by allergic, I mean allergic to getting hit with a one hundred plus critical. Sword Masters have always been a staple in my arsenal, mainly thanks to Joshua, and I've always been keen on their critical animations.

Taguel: I wish I had a recording of my reaction of seeing Panne transform for the first time, but sadly I do not. All I can say, is I probably sounded like the Joker. I'm actually a big fan of shapeshifters in general, but the Manaketes have never been quite by forte since they always end up coming off as a little... Creepy? The shape shiftiers in fates were ok, but my heart will always belong to the bunny people.

Conqueror: This is less about the class and more about the person who wields in, but conqueror has always been the ultimate unstoppable force for me. Plus it's Wallart. That's like worth fifty points.

  13. It's a shame I never got to see Reborn in its "Prime," but like many others, I'm still relatively new here. I mean, sure, I have over one thousand posts, but that really doesn't mean anything when it all comes down to it. I found Reborn after getting tired of other fan games, not because of Shofu. Either way, I feel intimidated sometimes when I'm here, as I don't want to upset the balance or bring ire upon myself. The last community I was in was actually a lot like the "old" Reborn (or at least judging by what people say about it). Unfortunately, that community ended up losing most of its older members until its equivalent of the wasteland was a haven for racism and memes, and it role play section was filled with wolf and Five Nights and Freddies role plays that had three minutes of work put into them. I can appreciate what Reborn was, but unless someone has screen shots of it or a time machine, there's no real way to make new users like me understand what it was, only that it was.

Now I do believe that communities need to change to survive. I'm willing to bet if Reborn still looked like how it used to look, most of the new people, myself included wouldn't be here right now. Honestly, I only came here for the game, got stuck on a gym, and made an account to ask for help. The last time I did this for a fan game, I joined the Reddit and was promptly laughed at for having a weak team. Reborn? The people here nursed me back up and encouraged me, and now look at me. I make meme thread occasionally! All I'm trying to say is that I feel like Reborn is the best community I've ever been a part of, and I don't want to leave any time soon.

As for actual discussion, I feel like its probably a good idea to be open about your though and feelings, as long as your open to other peoples. I've seen a few threads go down hill while here, and they aren't anywhere as bad as some of the others I've seen before. Honest discussion should be available to all, but as others have said, if the Auth believe this sin't the place to do it, then this isn't the place to do it.

Anyways, I hope that one day I might be able to get closer into the inner circles of Reborn one day, since I still feel like an outsider, but I'm content with that. Maybe it's misguided hope, and maybe it's patience. And maybe it's Maybeline.

    From, a cheerful Greenhorn

  14. Just blew forty orbs on the new machine (all of which were saved up) and got some interesting results.

    Jeorge (5 Star)

    Marth (4 Star)

    Camilla (4 Star)

    F Corrin (4 Star)

So, no one from Fire Emblem (or whatever you call it) but my second five star hero. And in other news, I could technically level Camilla up to five star since I do have enough Green badges to do so. I'd better see if shes any good first though.
