  1. I've recently caught a Makuhita and a Pancham. I was wondering which one I should train.

The makuhita is level thirteen but has a decent nature, perfect attack iv's and great defensive and hp iv's w/ sheer force.

the pancham has pretty bad ivs.. 10 attack/20 spa/23 hp/6 spd/25 def/9 speed which is pretty bad. iron fist and sassy. it's level eighteen so I wouldn't have to grind as much..

i usually use a makuhita for cradily but I was wondering if i could scrape by with the pancham just to have some diversity.

    any thoughts?

  2. Okay guys I think I might just run Cacnea (if i get it) and my Typhlosion because Water Absorb/Flash Fire sounds nice..

Since you guys shot down swanna and heliolisk and since ive used toxicroak before i might just try some different pokes..

my team atm is just quilava and i haven't even beaten julia yet so im definitely open to pokes to try out

ill most likely using whatever i find in the mystery egg and surely going to use eevee

  3. I'm going to be adding a (shiny) ducklett to my team once I get there and was thinking about running rain dance and having some fun with the ability dry skin. Both Heliolisk and Toxicroak have it and I was wondering which one would be more viable. Not only would it take hits for my firey mouse it would have a nice way to heal with dry skin. I was thinking that it would be a pretty tough choice.. Heliolisk always hits Thunder in the rain but from what I've seen Toxicroak is definitely the better pokemon. If anyone could share their input on this it would be great..

Also if y'all have any other ideas of pokes that do well under rain I would love to hear them c:

edit; ive also been thinking about cacnea but wasn't sure where it was found between julia and florinia..

  4. wow this was a lot more feed back than i had hoped for c:

sorry luna cynda is one of my favorites ill be using her

ill probably pick up a dustox and maybe a leafeon later on

emolga will definitely get a spot and ill have to think about igglybuff c:

  5. Hey!

I was going to start a new run and was wondering what mons are under used

ive been wanting some mons ive never used before mainly to make my gameplay more original and interesting

if you can contribute it would be great!

edit: oh and ill be starting with my mouse cyndaquil c:

  6. Yup you just right click extract files (I think you can play it in the zip though, but extracting is easier). Usually I select the desktop, but you can do it pretty much wherever you like. Just know that Hardcore runs off of Reborn's save file system so if you want to keep a save, you might want to rename it. As for the 7-zip, as long as it's not like 2GB or a large size, I'll see if I can use that instead.

I've extracted but it is still in a .rar file and pretty much nothing has changed...

    Any other ideas??

  7. Pretty sure everybody uses either winrar (what I use) or 7zip to extract those files. That's something I'm going to shove on Solarence though or somebody else because I'm not the most techy kind of guy. I'm just a really fast learner is all. Thankfully a lot of the things I'm doing won't take that long to replicate in future releases. But yeah, tech people, this is where you can come in and save the day.

Well, to start with, just keep the file as a .zip when your crew uploads it Commander. You have to go out of your way to compress the file as a .rar, since windows can compress any file into a .zip through the right click menu, as shown here http://prntscr.com/93wtla

As for people downloading this, I suggest WinRar as it's essentially free (even though it complains that it's not).

I honestly have no idea how I downloaded the original version of Reborn as I think the download is in .rar form right now...

I just downloaded WinRar and I am trying to figure it out atm.

I'm not sure if it is possible to just keep it as a .zip file but it would definitely make it easier for people like me c:

EDIT: I assume that I am extracting the files? Or what??

  8. I'm looking into it, but it's either possible the PBS folder is reading off of Episode 15's official stuff or you're not clicking the right icon. In the 2.0 folder there should be a Reborn icon with game that you should use. If somebody else is having trouble please let me know (also let me know if it is working properly).

I know 1.81 works properly so you can use that one for the time being here

I'm assuming that it's because I'm opening the .rar file with the RGSS Player but I'm not sure how to turn a .rar into a .zip so that I can open it like I normally do..

Also I don't think that the hyperlink is working for me.

If you can find any solution that would be great, I'm not a very techy person :/

  9. Taken straight from Chubb's guide

If you're playing in Reborn Hardcore mode, you can find a Lucky Egg and an Experience Share here. This is so you can level up easier, since you'll probably need it. Beware the Techie here, though, he has a level 70 M-Rayquaza, which is meant to be a reference from when Ame forgot to take out that Pokemon in a release of the game (she was testing out the M-Rayquaza and Primal Kyogre and Groundon).

    Y5HCtDI.png

This is one of the very few things you might hear about Reborn Hardcore mode due to most of the other changes either being changed trainer teams (duh, it's called HARDCORE) and two new battles by the creators of it.

    Hmm...

I must have downloaded something wrong even though when I open my file it says Pokemon Hardcore 2.0..

I don't see this and the techie doesn't have a rayquaza..

    Any ideas??

  10. Okay I have been seeing all the threads for a different version of reborn that is apparently hardcore.

I wanted to start a run of my own but I haven't seen any download links..

Can someone send me the download for this?

  11. Wow thanks guys!

I think I'll grab the experience egg and the experience share and grind on the trainers at the Grand Hall.

Thanks for the details about these items and the places for ev training Luna :D

  12. I've just hit the Vanhanen Labyrinth and I'm doing fairly well except for a couple members of my team. Most of my team is doing great save for Excadrill and Hippopotas, my newest additions. Both are currently at level 37 which is incredibly low since the rest of my team is in the high fifties. Any suggestions for leveling this two easily? I know the Tauros and Bouffalant are great for experience but I have to switch them out to keep them from dying :(

Are there any trainers back at the grand hall?

    Thanks!

  13. Thanks guys!

I'll go back and get Flygon and probably add a Nidoking. Honestly I hate abusing older versions so I might just wait till I can get myself a Turtwig.

Again thanks a whole lot for the suggestions!

  14. Thank you. I'm thinking of making it just a ground-mono because I have used Camerupt and Ninetales over and over again and I'm not really feeling using them again.

I'll probably end up picking a Hippowdon and Excadrill for Noel and Serra as I honestly don't know how to beat Serra without Excadrill. I will be just keeping Onix for the rocks until I can get Geodude (not sure where to find it) because Graveler's movepool looks like fun.

Okay please correct me if I am wrong here because I really like Diggersby. I feel like it has a problem taking hits because of it's defensive capabilities. Sure, it is a monster offensively but I think it's speed lacks.. a lot. The only priority move it earns is Quick Attack which I don't think will be doing very much later down the road.

Now for Nidoking. It has very solid stats, but most of it's moves are locked down because of the lack of technical machines in this game. The viable moves it learns by evolution are Horn Drill (if you want to soft reset a ton), Toxic Spikes (Good hazards when stacked with stealth rock), Thrash, Megahorn, and Poison Jab which form a physically inclined movepool. I was wondering any advantages Nidoking has over Nidoqueen.

Sandslash seems very viable with Sand Rush and high defenses but I plan on using Graveler and Excadrill which means that not only does Excadrill completely outclass it, but Graveler also excels in defensive stats giving Sandslash a tough time to make the team.

Dugtrio sounds like a solid choice with that high speed and I will definitely consider adding him.

The thing that sucks here is that I've done speed-plays up until the mystery egg quite a few times and back in August I quit for couple months. This round I got a Togepi which was a real setback as I have always wanted a Ryhorn or a Drilbur from the egg.

I'll probably end up adding a either a Trapinch or a Phanphy and grind them later on.

On a side note Shelly will be a piece of cake (much easier than Corey, his field was annoying after I found all the officers) since I have stealth rock and rock tomb Onix, rock slide Swampert (I'm going to have to common candy him some), and lava plume Camerupt. If I can set up rocks and destroy the field with lava plume early on it should be an easy fight.

  15. Hey again!

I am wanting to do two dual-type runs at once and I need some types to use :3

Since I am already doing Ground/Fire I would like some different options. I am open to pretty much any combo of types but if it had a cool theme, like Ghost/Ice (Mystic) that would be pretty cool :P.

If y'all have any extra challenges you want to throw in to diversify this run I will definitely consider them.

    Thanks!

  16. Hey guys!

Okay so currently I am at Shelly and doing a ground run. My team currently consists of Camerupt, Onix, and Swampert. I was thinking of doing a Ground/Fire dual-type run and was wondering what fire types would be great. I also wanted to have a dual-weather team and add Hippowdon, Excadrill, Houndoom, and Ninetales for this to work.

So I had a couple questions.

#1: Should I go with the dual-weather or skip it for some more mediocre pokes?

#2: I'm going to be throwing out Camerupt eventually and need a suggestion for a strong fire type farther down the road.

    Thanks if you can help!

  17. If you read my other topic, I am trying out a ground mono but really really want an excadrill in my final game. As most of you probably know, the only way to obtain drilbur (excadrill's pre-evolution) early game is by trading a growlithe to one of the police officers after finding all of them in a couple of wards. I have been resetting my game and speed-running through it until the egg and throughout all of my speedruns I have yet to find a drilbur (I have been doing this since about July 9th). If someone could just hack my game file to make it so that I can always get a drilbur, that would be great. I would try but the only video I have seen about hacking in pokes has to have Game Maker XP, and I have already used the free trial beforehand and am not willing to pay that amount of money. Currently I have lost a lot of hype in playing my run because of all the boring speedruns that feel like tedious chores and would be hype for this game again if someone could hack a drilbur into the mystery egg.

  18. If you don't get a few rock or ground types, then you will probably have trouble with Charlotte. You will probably end up getting rid of Emolga and Meowstic solely due to the fact that they are just outclassed. Magneton/Mangezone both outclass Emolga and Gallade/Gardevoir outclass Meowstic. You might also end up exchanging Slurpuff/Pangoro or at least running a rotational team due to all of the dangers in Reborn. Also, you are meant to lose the battle against Garchomp in case you didn't know already, as 6ixGod said :)

  19. If you wanna replace Exploud I would recommend Porygon. It evolves into a Porygon2 around Noel, which might seem a little late but Porygon2 has some great defensive abilities. Porygon will also be a decent wall with 65/70/75 defenses and an early access to recover. PorygonZ is a strong attacker with a massive 135 base special attack, rivaling Alakazam and Gengar. Its only drawback is its average speed, at base 90. However, it will be able to take a few hits with its above average bulk (for a sweeper) and recover. What puts it ahead of other special attackers like Alakazam and Gengar is its ability, Adaptability. This ability increases the STAB from 1.5x to 2.0x. This means its normal type moves, such as Tri Attack and Hyper Beam will hit incredibly hard. Training it up to the rest of your team (to about level 45), will have notable moves such as Discharge, Recover, Psybeam, and Nasty Plot (from heart scale). After luna it will have access to dark pulse and if you beat Shade before recent updates then you should have access to shadow ball as well (iirc). If you train it to fifty it will learn Tri Attack which has great side effects and base power. Porygon's evolutions also have pretty cool designs and even though it will be tedious af to train it 40-45 levels up, it will be a complete monster when you get PorygonZ.

If you do indeed choose to use Porygon, here is the guide to learn how to evolve it: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/?showtopic=6802

There are many other decent normal options to fill up the spot of Exploud, but Porygon is the best in my opinion.

I hope I could help and I hope you have fun ~
