Now in case we get more members, I'll write a premise for the story here.

Setting: Ayumu’s Church of Yveltal Faith (In Capital City of Abstract)

Introduction: After the establishment of Ayumu’s church with a newly built religion based on Yveltal, she has the title of being the ‘Angel’ of Yveltal, letting out her messages that she wants to spread Yveltal’s message of harbinging and omens. The tragedies of the future is spoken a lot in Ayumu’s church, but with the attitude and grace that comes with it--Ayumu herself wants to create miracles. In the church of Yveltal, a number of motivated, unique individuals were invited to partake in living in the dorms of Yveltal’s church. Ayumu, with the main characters of the story, have all come together to learn and teach one another about themselves. Even though not all of them have the faith of Yveltal, Ayumu wants to prove herself. So as Ayumu gives out her sermon of an incoming tragedy, Yveltal’s church has to face the conviction of those who don’t believe in the unorthodox faith of Yveltal. Most in the capital city believes that church is an evil and sinful work. Ayumu, however, expects that she could perform miracles in other mon’s lives. With her team of friends--they do work of miracles and help better themselves where the future of Abstract becomes acknowledged.

When Ayumu was young, she was born in a family that didn’t had a religious affiliation with any Legendaries or Mythicals. She was the young child of two daughters, her dad being a Smeargle named ‘Kenshin’. As an Espurr, she had a different name that wasn’t originally Ayumu. But as she enrolled in ‘Little Cup Elementary’, she created a girl’s club that studied the theology of Abstract’s region. Then her theology research club found out that the Legendaries and Mythicals most mons praised weren’t exactly what they seem to be. They informed everyone in school, but what resulted was that the teachers kicked Ayumu and her friends out. The staff of the school thought Ayumu’s club was the work of something evil.

By that time later on, Ayumu was separated from her close friends and her family had trouble supporting her. She evolved, and named herself ‘Ayumu’ as her Meowstic’s future. She was bitter inside, knowing that people did not trust her resolve in her deep and elaborate studies. So one day, Ayumu was actually contacted by a Legendary in her dream--Yveltal. Yveltal gave her a life mission because she (Yveltal) saw how Ayumu’s future was all about the miracles and tragedies that unfold in her resolve. She chose Yveltal, and Yveltal chose her. Ayumu became the first ‘messenger’ of Yveltal in all of Abstract. Their mission? Confront future tragedies in the making and replace it with miracles. Yveltal warned Ayumu that her first tragedy will do something with her parents.

Word got out of her new faith in Yveltal, people knew and looked at Ayumu with hatred and shame. And her mom shamed Ayumu for her new religion of Yveltal, thinking that it’s crazy and toxic. Her mom did not trust Ayumu, even though Ayumu has told her many times that Yveltal isn’t what she thinks it is. However, her dad Kenshin and her older sister supported and watched out for Ayumu. It was until then her mom had enough and decided to leave Ayumu’s family. After a while, Ayumu’s best friend Chai was helping Ayumu establish her own church, dedicated to spreading the harbinging of Yveltal. She talked with Kenshin about it since they were about to part ways as she lives her new life with church. So, she was sad how Kenshin always forgiven her mother and still hanged in there to support his youngest daughter.

Kenshin, her father, was ready to travel to see the world and he wanted to talk with Ayumu one more time. She was at a graveyard with Kenshin as they talk about their distant futures after Ayumu’s mother left their family. Kenshin, saying as truthfully he could, he wanted Ayumu to be safe on her chosen lifestyle. He made a statement that he’ll return one day to help Ayumu. And he knew Ayumu had a future ahead of her with church. Kenshin couldn’t help but to tell Ayumu that he was so proud of her, and Ayumu started crying.

Ayumu had a future ahead of her. With Yveltal’s close watch on Ayumu’s path and dream, the frontiers they face in the future is to challenge the upcoming tragedies that will unfold in Abstract’s fate. After some time with the establishment, she gathered a group of unique Pokémon individuals who have their own beliefs, history, skills, and personality, all have their own dorm in church. The starting of a future where Ayumu’s church would perceive the future of tragedies and bring forth… miracles.

Details:

# Ayumu has a title that she refers to, she is known as ‘Yveltal’s Angel’ or ‘Yveltal’s Messenger’. Others may address her as ‘angel’ or ‘my angel’.
# Ayumu’s school club of friends were Suzuran the Dweeble, Sariel the Kanga Jr., Mato the Clauncher, and Kogasa the Brionne.
# She’s Modest nature, given apparent to her association with daintiness and charm.
# She doesn’t match other Meowstic-Females, since most Meowstic-Females are rich secretaries who invest a lot of money in their job. Ayumu is a unique Meowstic-Female because she doesn’t have a lot of money.

# ‘Oblivion Wing’ is the move that her faith Yveltal has given her secretly, with the purpose of destroying tragedies and make sacrifices for the idea of changing lives with creating her own miracles. It's a crafty move that can allow her to fly.

~ Pokémon Abstract ‘Faraway Myth’ ~ [Interest Check]

Hey everyone, I've decided to open up a new roleplaying topic that's similar to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, where your roleplaying chars are Pokemon. Well, I had one run of the Pokemon RP back then, which was called 'Pokemon Catharsis', but sadly I couldn't complete it because I had to struggle with health related issues. Now that I'm better and healthy, I'm motivated to opening a new roleplaying topic where it's similar to the universe of Catharsis, but it's a non-official RP where it's mainly for side character interactions and character development rather than a plot-centered story. So there's no particular need for posting to always advance the story in this one, other than the fact that I'll set the playground and settings for us if this roleplaying idea is popular in interest check.

The new region this roleplaying topic takes place in is called 'Abstract' and I'll release the story once I see that it gets enough attention from Reborn community. If there's not much of anyone that's interested, then I might as well not start it. It's not really a plot-driven story because I want to hone my roleplaying GM abilities and give everyone good experience. I made a lot of mistakes in my old RP of Catharsis, but in this one I'm making it better and allowing everyone the chance to make changes and new ideas to the story. It'll be a great practice, because I've been theory-crafting a lot about Abstract region and it's possibly a lot better than Catharsis. Also, you probably won't have to worry about the pacing of this topic either.

So, who's up for the roleplaying topic? I'm excited to share you guys a lot what Abstract can offer, but mostly, I'd love to see new connections being made in-character and out-of-character.

Heartbroken Ayumu lives a life where she had to challenge against the hatred of society and peers, from her ex-best friend betraying her. And through her own choice, she decides to call herself… Ayumu (Alter Meowstic-Female). As she grows up, she moves to rich cities of Xainying and Qinzou, two steampunk cities in Abstract--she then learns how to control the hatred that exists in secrecy, through her team ‘Heartbreakers’. She learned how to write realities, and change the lives of others by controlling hatred--and thus learning how to change everything… by the heart of it all. Ayumu and her accomplice Geno (Albino Chesnaught), eventually orchestrated hatred to challenge hatred. What becomes of their story, caught in the unleashed fury that is being a Writer of realities? Crime, religion, government, friendship, and choices… all become realized in Ayumu’s story… of being heartbroken.

Around a century later after Event #7 (Avalon's Presence) of the original Catharsis story, the world has drastically changed after what had happened. Back then, there was a time where Avalon was missing and the region was suffering from chaos. However, later on, a new government has been established in Catharsis to bring everything together. Now, Catharsis face a historic breakthrough of evolving technology and alchemy. Everything about Catharsis is advanced now... however, the business corporations, are overruling Catharsis with competition and money. Strict procedures developed underway and the society is heavily controlled by a mysterious hand of the shadows.

Catharsis is now under heavy control, rather than chaos. Everyone is living in fear of life, rather than fear of death. In response to this, the mons of Catharsis are trying their best to form together a movement, to revolt against the government and corporations. Everyone is building themselves around the powers of alchemy, legendaries and refinery mega-evolution, for what purpose? To create an Excalibur Revolution, the breakthrough of a civil war happening right at the heart of Catharsis.

Story: Ayumu was originally created by a secret and intelligent genetic scientist that went by the name of Yushiro, the Alter Lucario. Yushiro created her for the reason of wanting to create the most perfect Alter Pokémon, composed of genetic materials that link with the powers of Xerneas and Yveltal. Ayumu had the power of Yveltal and Xerneas embedded into herself, which grants her the ability to cheat life and death. Yushiro would spend some time with her talking about his history with the orphanage, how he wanted to take care of them but they were shamed from him because of Avalon.

When Ayumu became part of the community of Misty Eclipse, she studied in the libraries and knowledge networks about the arts of Evolved Hermetic. She studied alchemy, enchanting, theology, and many area of occult arts. That wasn't her favorite subject to her however. She had an adornment towards the beautiful pleasures of life, and that was the idea of loving something so much that one would kill it. It was her philosophy. She was known as the 'Scarlet Angel' by her peers in colleges and secret communities, known for her special blood that have a purity that access the breakthrough research of alchemy. However, alchemy tends to bore her as it was an easy subject yet so unimportant. She only did it because Yushiro set up a task for her to find the truth behind establishing innate powers in the occult network. But it was clear what she truly wanted. Ayumu wanted love.

She eventually became an alchemic professor in the occult network, teaching others about the secrets of special powers and magic of the occult arts. And she was also a trader, who traded secrets with other occult networks. However, some of the people who revered her knowledge and expertise were inspired. Many occult communities were uprising to the point where they used Ayumu's expertise to control the hidden occult worlds of Catharsis. The higher ups of occult branches, 333, could not deal with the occult organizations with their power. So Ayumu acted and went under a secret identity of the 'God Slayer'; she joined Strike Freedom which was led by Marth, and killed something very precious to them: their skies. She used her move, Blood Red Skies, to paint the skies in their hidden occult worlds a vivid red. She wanted to teach them that her love in hatred is far superior and much stronger than any power they wield. So each time the occultists tried to draw out their powers from the heavens, their eyes will cry... tears of blood. That is why Ayumu had the secret identity of being the God Slayer who prays for blood.

Years later on between the major conflict between Rebirth of Providence and Fallen Fae, Ayumu became in love with the idea that Catharsis was changing a lot after Avalon came back to Catharsis and then retired. Catharsis became more advanced, sophisticated, yet still retain that archaic feel. Catharsis was having occult alchemy as a way of creating special element pendants to make life a whole lot easier. The new government, situated in allowing mons to make their own business and wealth. Economy was coming back. But however, these changes were so rapid that it was rather self-defeating. Because... Pokemon came into much power, and decided to use their power to control Catharsis. Ayumu saw this, so she decided to do whatever she wanted: she remade her own 'Fallen Fae' organization!

Fallen Fae is back! And this time, they're going to control all of Catharsis! So Ayumu can see a future where she can paint the skies blood red!

* Ayumu is mainly Quirky Nature, she has a vivid and lively personality. She can be charming and dainty whenever she has a pleasure she wants to fulfill, whether it's insane or drastic. She's very poetic with how she feels about her words, but her actions are devoted to be beautiful rather than ugly. She can't stand ugly decisions and behavior, especially coming from her. She wants to do decisions where she can inspire other people with love and hatred.

* Ayumu loves inspiring others, that's why often she sometimes loves counseling or talking to friends in privacy, guiding them with her unique perspective and flow of thought. She doesn't think like the average mon, rather she wants to think with refinery. She can't stand an existence without the inspiration of beauty and love for other mons.

* She is one of the leaders of Strike Freedom; the founder of Strike Freedom is Marth the Honchkrow. Unlike Marth who manipulates out of acute foresight, Ayumu makes dangerous decisions out of her heart. She's the one who decided to drastically change the skies or doing actions that inspire the living daylight out of them. She doesn't operate through fear; she operates through love.

* Ayumu created Fallen Fae for one reason, and that is to protect Avalon's son. She doesn't know who is Avalon's son, besides knowing it personally from Yushiro. She wants to help Yushiro by recovering the whereabouts of Avalon's son.

Okay, the reason why I made this topic is because I've recovered from an event in my life. The original Pokemon Catharsis isn't going to continue for now because most of the roleplayers there are busy with real life now. But I'm creating this topic for the sake of finding new members who are willingly to roleplay in the future of Catharsis, which takes place around 100 years after Event #7 of Neo-Catharsis. But I'll continue to update this topic frequently to add more and more ideas to Neo-Catharsis, as it's a lot richer than the previous Catharsis.

It's magically futuristic with a lot of arcane stuff in it, and the fact that we're all planning to become businessmons who are part of a corporation (Fallen Fae) to seize control and take advantage of other corporations and rule Catharsis! Yeah, it would be definitely fun to hear if anyone's interested. Ayumu is my main character, who is ironically the main antagonist in the original Catharsis. I'll try to simplify this roleplaying topic so people can understand what it's about. But for now, please post here if you're interested or have questions!

Okay, the In-Character topic was launched a while ago and made decent progress. I'll say that Sign-Ups will be reopened at Event #2, which I don't know when that'll happen. We have a total of eleven roleplayers for Event #1. Everyone read the rules in the first page of this topic, and I'll update it more as we go later on. I hope everyone has fun with this roleplay.

#6. We'll volunteer to take our turn in this RP on Discord, and everyone will fill up the post until we finish that part of the scene of the event. And then we'll move with the plot being advanced forward when everyone is ready and contributed their share to each scene of the event.

Okay, I'm informing everyone the Sign-Ups are currently closed. But those who posted before this post have a chance in submitting their character before the start of the RP. The start of the RP is likely going to happen whenever the Discord chat is crowding with people. I'll post the IC topic by then. Then I'll have to decide the order of turns that people will have in the RP. Everyone will post turn after turn, so we can have a healthy roleplaying environment. And if you're not on, likely we'll move ahead of you in the RP. But being active means you have the advantage of being part of this RP.

@DigitalAmber @Dark Rogue Yeah, Dark Rogue is right. Alter Pokemon can be any typing, not just Holy. I didn't make it clear in the bullet points in the first post. They're basically Delta Pokemon but with a different name, Alter.

Basically, we gone over that for the sake of roleplaying, it should have some realistic plot devices such as Pokemon having pouches or some way to carry their belongings. I'm suggesting that every character should wear belts that have small pouches. In these pouches, they keep their currency and tools, and their currency -- PokeCoins. And what do they need currency for? For buying stuff, even though there's a lot of crime. The region isn't in total chaos where there's crime left and right, but there's a lot of corruption going on and an imbalance between strong and weak Pokemon. Anymore ideas would help the story.

If people join and they're not active, I'm not sure how I can proceed the story including them but to just leave them behind. I wouldn't want that. @DemICE Well, I'll do that alongside of roleplaying with Minish and Elysian. They need to be roleplaying in the story in order for it to progress. Especially Elysian the Bisharp. I just have two roles, pinpointing down the story and roleplaying with the other characters. The characters are supposed to mold the story, the story itself isn't concrete. I've played other RPs that had the GMs roleplay themselves, so it's not so bad if I can do it right. I just hope this RP doesn't get too complicated, lol.

Everyone, give me your Discord so I can add you all to the Discord chat group. It's going to be pretty tough without Chaotyx since I'm familiar with his roleplaying ability, and he's good at it.

But if you guys are able to contribute well enough to the plot, then I'll be happy to participate in this roleplay with all of you. I'm still developing the bulk of the plot devices of the story, but I believe we're close to starting the RP. So I'll now change this topic to Sign-Ups/OOC rather than Interest Check.

@uberle What typing is Alter Poliwrath? Well, your character Zed will be hired along with everyone else's character under the secret order of Rebirth of Providence, led by Elysian the Bisharp. I'm not sure if you want to make him part of the order as a part-time agent, or a full-time agent. Since he's already an employee of an organization, it would be nice if he could also be part of this secret order. Basically, I'm trying to make everyone join an order which will involve everyone working together. Also, don't be afraid of my Minish. She won't hurt or act racist against your character. I changed her 'dislike' to 'distrust' Fire-types because it makes more sense that she tends to shy away from Fire-types rather than getting up all on their face. She won't bother Zed, but will have to learn how to cooperate with everyone involved in the order to fulfill the objectives and mission that Elysian laid out.

So far I'm typing out the lore and secrets that will be uncovered in the story in a document. I won't be sharing the document, but I will reveal some information that could prove to be useful. Such as this:

No one in the story will know what Pokemon trainers or humans are. They've never been exposed to them, so they have no clue. And there's a huge reason why this is because. That'll be revealed in the story.

Also, to make this easier, what's everyone's Discord? My Discord is Spi#2561. It'd be nice if we could have a chat together, in planning what we should do for Catharsis's story.

@uberle Okay, just be careful not to make your character too powerful in plot. I'm not including legendaries in this roleplay, so the mention of Arceus or other legendaries should be best mentioned rather than roleplayed. They should have no relation to Catharsis's history, because Avalon is basically the 'legendary' of the region. I'm fine with it relating to the character's beliefs and such, but be careful not to bleed into the lore of Catharsis. What typing is Alter Poliwrath btw?

Story: Great King Avalon is the greatest king to ever exist in Catharsis, and the oldest king. Perhaps he is the only king of Catharsis, because of his reign ever since the region was found by many different migrating Pokemon. He has built the region from the beginning, assembling it together in one community and he called the community: “Catharsis” which eventually became the region’s name. He has lead the army of Catharsis, and has always lead his army in bringing redemption against any opposers who desire to rule Catharsis for their own selfish gain. He has fought many wars in beginning of Catharsis, and won. Even though he can handle the wars all by himself, he wanted to create armies to strengthen a community of trust and bonds. Driving away darkness that would plague the land, Avalon made sure Catharsis lived in freedom.

He ruled over Catharsis for many, many years. And everyone lived in peace as long he reigned. He contributed to Catharsis with his impart on wisdom and knowledge. He taught that light should be sought, and the darkness should be known. He also taught that the spirit of meaning is what keeps one awake to the light. His spiritual teaching was passed around his Pokemon, and Pokemon who are familiar with Avalon knows a bit about his teaching. He constructed a society in Catharsis in making others have wealth, careers, shelter, love, and many other areas in life where as Pokemon outside of Catharsis didn’t know how to live. He made diversity come true in Catharsis, empowering Pokemon with items such as mega stones and z-crystals.

However, Avalon had many dark secrets and no one knew Avalon that well. Avalon was very good in keeping his secrets, and the Avalon everyone known is him being the Great King of Catharsis. He made a foundation in Catharsis through fostering the light and knowing secrets in order to make it come true. It was not long until the present day of Catharsis that Avalon’s rule was over. He mysteriously disappeared without any trace. No one knows why or what had happened to him. So Catharsis devolves into a state of emergency and critical status. Without Avalon, Catharsis was dying and many were going in it for the wealth and power. Many people responded to his disappearance by making communities to hopefully restore hope. But many communities were shut down by those aiming for reaping power by hurting others.

So the state of how it is now, is that Elysian, one of Avalon’s warriors, decides to create a secret order where a team of highly trained individuals investigate the phenomenon of Catharsis. Avalon’s legacy still exists in the hearts of many inhabitants of Catharsis, and few steps up to try their best to create change. Avalon’s disappearance is just merely the stepping stone to a great revolution that will occur in Catharsis.

Story: Elysian the Bisharp was one of Avalon’s loyal warriors, who fought in his army. Elysian did not had a rank, because he was part of the secret operatives that was associated with the Army of Catharsis. His main duty with the Army of Catharsis was to investigate the crime and conspiracies in secrecy. Elysian has seen many dark things that shouldn’t be spoken, and his job was to decide accordingly to the mishaps that are happening in the shadows. When Avalon disappeared, Elysian took the initiative in taking care of the orphans who were under Avalon’s care. That’s how Shirou is under the guidance of Elysian. Elysian is not well-known among other of Avalon’s army, but he fulfilled a large role in supporting Catharsis in the background.

Elysian took the initiative in inviting many Pokemon in secrecy to an assembly where he gives out a speech and pins down the mission of his new order, the Rebirth of Providence. Rebirth of Providence is a secret order dedicated to restoring the order of Catharsis, and a secret order made up of highly talented individuals who had a history of impacting Catharsis. Elysian handpicked many talented individuals to fulfill the task of working together in bringing Catharsis to redemption. And he is still leading the secret group in finding the meaning they’re seeking for.

* Elysian trains with Shirou when not on missions 3 hours a day while he trains other members of the order for 2 hours.

* Elysian is jovial towards citizens and his friends. Like Avalon, he is protective to those that were under his care (orphans).

I believe what I'm going to do for the roleplaying is that I'll divide the storyline into "Events" and each event will have a certain premise and plot to it. We'll roleplay our characters in each event and progress in the story until the event is finally finished. The reason why I'm doing this is because it's a lot better than roleplaying all linear and having no direction with each event in the story. Setting down each event, and having room for people to think about what they do in each event will allow them to work with their characters. This also helps especially with new role players who don't know what's happening in the story, and all they have to do is read the event to progress in the story.

I think the first event will be Elysian the Bisharp (my friend character's teacher) starting up a new community which roleplayers can join and progress in discovering the mysteries of Catharsis all together. All of our characters will be in one place, in an assembly of Pokemon where Elysian gives his speech. I think that's a good way to start it. But I'll need to discuss with my friends in planning ahead of what would go down in Catharsis and how we're going to play around with the story.

I'll be writing the profile of Elysian and Avalon soon since they're important to the story. If you guys want to contribute in making important characters who are not mained by yourselves, go ahead and share. Non-playable characters can be controlled by others, to help progress in the plot.

Lmao

I was testing this RP out on my forums and it was so edgy. I'm going to try to tone down the "RAH DARKNESS" theme to it. I plan to talk to my friend tonight in making the RP more proper, with a balance of light and darkness. So right now the RP isn't ready yet, I still need to formulate it.

@uberle Cool, uberle, that's a nice character. Is Zed a normal Typhlosion that is able to bless himself temporarily through Arceus's Holy typing?

@DigitalAmber You're not late. You're very early. I still need to formulate my RP's idea a bit more, and considering more people are joining this RP, we need to organize everyone in the proper placement of the plot. My main focus right now is to tone down the darkness of my character, because dark characters tend to contribute to the overall theme of the RP. Luckily there's characters like your Sirius or my friend's Greninja that makes this RP a lot less dark. Thanks for the submission. Really good character you made.

EDIT: I'm changing my Minish the Mawile profile a bit more, so she's better off to be a character with a lot of potential, rather than having all of her potential fulfilled in one background. I think it's important to write characters with potential to fulfill so they can at least grow in the RP. Well, I'm toning down Minish's story so she can have a lot more light + potential.
