  1. Where is venoshock? Need roserade to venoshock or sludge bomb.

Venoshock is found in Mr. Bigglesworth's room, in Byxbian Wastelands. You need to activate all of the Corey-gym-gasey-things across the wasteland and then follow a path that opens up until you encounter the large, talking Garboder. If you can find a video for how to get Mudkip/Squirtle, the process is very similar.

  2. Umbreon OP. Needs nerfs. Dem defense stats 3gud5me.

In all seriousness, Umbreon is actually pretty well known as an excessively solid tank and, along with Vaporeon and most recently Sylveon, is known as one of the most effective and useful Eeveelutions in the current meta. In reborn, where moves like Scald and Hyper Voice aren't available, Umbreon edges toward the top of the Eeveelution list. Even as a level 48 with no EV training (look at its base stats for a second, those things are MASSIVE), it'll take hits like a champ and be able to Moonlight, Confuse Ray, and Yawn without a care in the world.

  3. Hoping to see someone do the Eevee breeder run. Currently doing a different one.

Even if I don't do Eevee Breeder for this story run, I'm going to want to do it sooner or later. That's too good of an idea to pass up.

The vote is done. With 6 votes, the chosen run is Nightmare, a Dark/Ghost type run. I will be putting together a plan and start writing things up for the story, thank you everyone who voted and submitted ideas. If a mod drops by and is willing, please lock this thread.
  4. I can't find Drilbur because its location was changed in episode 15, it is now an event pokemon but I have no idea where to start looking. Can someone help me?

I believe that Drilbur is now one of the pokemon you can get from the Mystery egg, the one you get from trading away a Growlithe egg. I don't know if there's an event to get it otherwise.

  5. Never mind I got a Quagsier with Water Absorb, but he doesnt have a water type move....Can you tell me please where I can get the house key for the move tutor? I cant find it anywhere!

Its okay, Quagsier is pretty good too.

Move tutor house key is available a little before the sixth badge. You'll get into an area underground where you have to switch a bunch of rails around, start rock smashing the dark patches on the walls, you should find the key in no time. But by around that point, you might be close enough to level 53 that you won't want to waste a Heart Scale on Water gun and instead just wait for Muddy Water.

  6. confirming extra dialogue with titania, to clarify blue moon ice cream must be the only kind of sweet in your inventory for her to ask for it

What counts as a sweet for this? Ice Creams? Cotton Candies? Common/Rare Candies? 'Rare Candy'?

  7. Sneasel can be found in Ametrine mountain. You'll need Surf, Waterfall, and Rock Smash. Start at the northern entrance from route 2 and surf south. Head down a waterfall or two, keeping an eye on your right side for an exit onto land. You should find a fairly small ledge where you can get off and walk south to a field of rocks containing a Sneasel. Smash the rock it's beating on and prepare for battle.

  8. Thanks!

Im right now at the Fighting type gym. What about a Corsola? I found one and I never used one in game.

Aww...I wanted a Mudkip, but oh well.

I've never used one either, so it'd probably work just fine (though I'm just now realizing that rock increases your weakness to fighting just in time to start on the fighting Gym, which I'm not real happy with recommending but meh). And sorry about the Mudkip, if you can find a download of Ep14 then you can get a Mudkip in Byxbian Wasteland where you'd find a Squirtle in Ep15.

  9. Not going to really comment on the sets you've got, but I would recommend trying to get another member on the team. You're pretty solid on a spread of types, but picking up a Fighting type (Throh, Sawk, Medicham, Scrafty) or a Water or Rock (Binacle, Corphish, Graveler/Golem) type wouldn't hurt you at all.

Sylveon is going to be available after the next gym (don't count on it coming up too soon) and Mudkip's been axed, replaced by a Squirtle, though that one's available a little before Aya (replacement poison gym leader)

  10. Gourgeist is a better Wall than trevenant, just check them stats.

CurseLax is also a great option.

Only issue I have with CurseLax being on this list is that it's not what I'd call a purely defensive pokemon. It hits too hard once it gets set up.

In all seriousness, you can breed Curse onto Snorlax using an Avalugg or Bergmite, then set it up with Body Slam, Rest, and either Sleep Talk, Crunch, or Heavy Slam, give it a defensive EV spread of whatever you like between HP, Def, and SpDef with a Careful or Impish nature, and go to town. You can alternatively set it up with Stockpile by training it from a Munchlax, which gives it more balanced defenses and less offensive power.

  11. A couple of mods are usually pretty good at hacking in a starter or two in a save file. Most runs begin with a thread asking for someone to hack it in, and it's usually done pretty quickly.

I have a psychosis about wanting to be independent. It's not really a big deal, just bugs me. I'll get over it anyway, though.

    Oh, and poll's up.

  12. Thinking of some unusual runs to do, as well as runs that could have a story element to them, and the concept of weight came up. What if all your Pokemon had to weigh under or over a certain limit? That way you have a run as loose or strict as you want, and it's an alternative to the mono/dual runs that have already been suggested. As for the story element, you could run anything from eating disorder to genetics to whatever either keeping your character really light or really heavy, and wanting to prove to the world that people of their size can do anything 'normal' people can. Just a thought, not sure if it holds weight as I'm really new to the concept of mono/dual/alternative rule running Pokemon games in general, but something I came up with while seeing all the mono/dual runs and wanting to suggest something different.

    http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_by_weight

For reasons that should be obvious for anyone here who's ever been in that awkward kind of situation, I'm going to need to be pretty careful with this idea. I want to make it something PC related rather than an arbitrary limit, so I'm not going to do a "heavy" side run to avoid unfortunate implications, but a "lighter than I am to show that little people can do things" type run does sound pretty nice. Limit here would probably be around 100 pounds, give or take 10, to allow for a couple starters to fully evolve.

  13. Mono-Ground is one I'm doing, liking it so far. Kinda difficult tbh (because you might actually lose to Fern, which is the worst feeling ever), but fun.

    Other runs though:

    Ground/Fighting = Earth benders (I guess?)

    Ground/Fire = Volcano

    Ground/Water = Mud Run

    yeah, they all have ground.

    They're Giovanni approved runs.

    Probably.

I'm going to start paring down the number of runs I've got up top, but I really like the Ground/Fire idea, so I'll be adding that one to the list.

    The Engineer's Run:

Pretty much anything that looks like a robot or some kind of machine or have something to do with computers. Examples: Magnezone, Klinklang, Golurk, Porygon line, Metagross, things like that.

Or a Steel/Electric duo-type run (Machine over man). You'd have to rely on some electric types at the beginning, since there really aren't too many Steel types available right away unless someone hacks them in for you like a lot of runs begin with.

I'm currently doing a mono-electric, but not including any sort of story. And Pyrrhon was the kind mod who got me started with a Blitzle, Joltik, and a shiny Chikorita with perfect IVs and the move Judgement.

Or another, more difficult possibility, is an Eevee breeder run, which is one I've been thinking of doing, but want to finish my current one and then possibly a mono-Psychic.

The rules would be that you start out with either 2 or 3 Eevee, depending on which you think is more fair.

You can breed the Eevee, but you can't breed solely for perfect IVs.

You can only use the first 8 Eevee you obtain including the starter Eevee, 1 for each evolution, but you can have 1 more in case you want to keep an Eevee.

You can adjust your team of Eeveelutions whenever you want.

And the ONLY exceptions to the Eevee only rule are for HM only Pokemon, probably Bidoof for Cut & Rock Smash early game as Eevee can't learn them and then something for Fly come Episode 16.

Steel/Electric is an interesting idea, I'll add that one to the list... and the Eevee breeder run sounds like a TON of fun. The only real issue I have with it is the fact that I'd need to ask someone to mod up a file and add two or three Eevees in, but that shouldn't be too bad. That and basic Eevee is pretty weak.
