  1. Now that Alpha Testing has been completed, Jan has given me permission to leak some interesting details and pictures that may appeal to those of you who are eager to play the upcoming version! Being that I've played through V8 already, I know that the new content (and the old redesigns for that matter) will not fail to impress. Well, let's get started!

For those of you who have been following the Status Thread (hopefully patiently), you already know that the vast majority of Terajuma Island has been redone. The Shore, Terajuma Jungle, Kakori Village, Route 5, Route 6, Aquamarine Cave, Teila Resort, and Kristilline Town are all newer, more polished versions of their old selves! Wait...Aquamarine Cave, what's that? Just a beautiful replacement to the awkward cave that connected Route 6 and Teila Resort! In all honesty, all the redesigns are stunning. That's the thing about V8, although its content is indeed short, this is by far the most pretty update released thus far in Pokémon Rejuvenation. Now, for those of you who have considered starting your save over when you heard about the new Terajuma Island, I am not here to discourage it. If you truly want to embark upon a mostly similar, but improved in certain parts, Terajuma Island story, I say go for it! And although not major, starting over means you get to take on Valarie in her new and improved arena...along with experiencing many new revisions and additions. Anyways, I think that's all for the details concerning the old content. Buuuuuut, since I'm nice, unlike Jan here are three new pictures that can be found in the Graphics folder!

    post-54792-0-71391100-1467684710_thumb.png w-why is Angie black?

post-54792-0-21448900-1467684750_thumb.png Him? He's a very minor character that has set up shop in Gearen City!

post-54792-0-60861200-1467684923_thumb.png Crawli's looking pretty spiffy, huh?

I wish I could share more, but I'm afraid that's all I've been afforded.

Now, on to the V8 content! Like I stated above, this is a short, yet breathtaking release. But although this is a shorter version, that's not a testament to how much story the new content contains! And we even witness the return of a familiar face! Well, familiar to some, very new to others...

So, remember when you had to decide whether to give Cera the Magma Stone or keep it for yourself? Did you find making that decision hard? Well honey, you've got a big storm coming. That's right! Jan (and his sadistic self) has introduced yet another story-influencing decision. Now, I can't attest to how largely the whole Magma Stone choice will affect the story, because not even I know. But with this one, you'll feel the effects of your choice right away, trust me. So, all I can really say is pick wisely, pick what you believe is the right option, and good luck! Also, since most of you will complete the new content in a short amount of time, explore the new terrain! I think Jan did an especially good job with this aspect of V8, and hopefully you'll agree with me after the new version is released!

Well, I hope that the limited information I was able to release builds up some excitement! I don't know when Jan will release V8, but what I can assuredly say is that it's coming soon. But, with this choice, I don't know whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing. Again, pick wisely and get hyped!!

  2. Good point, but im just too lazy to talk to 300 ppl lol. This is probably the only side quest I havent done yet, oh yea this and the shadow beldum, just due to lack of interest/laziness

(I didn't do either of those requests :') you're not alone)

  3. Words could not possibly articulate how much respect I have for you. It really takes such a strong person to openly share their life and their hardships with a whole community. I applaud you for your resilience, your strength, and for holding a rather optimistic outlook on the future, especially after everything you've endured throughout your life. I really think a lot of people can reflect off of your experiences and put their own issues into perspective. And you're completely right to say I can get through any affliction of mine, because you did it, and that's such a powerful thing to realize. Thank you for this, really.

  4. I do everything (except catching shadow Beldum which I gave up on), and I'm kind of curious what's different in certain places if I hadn't done an optional quest. Karen for example. She shows up at Amber's party and in West Gearen near the train. Other than that, her involvement so far has been in help requests. Does she still show up in those two places if you never meet her through help requests? I do the help requests, so I don't know.

And also when we get to the Elite 8, I wonder how she'll react to us if we haven't met her.

If you don't do the Help Center requests involving Karen, she actually won't show up at Amber's party, nor West Gearen. When we meet her in the Elite 8, I'm sure there will be a dialogue split for those who did the requests, and those who didn't.

  5. I think Amaria shows up in west gearen regardless, I dont recall doing to oddkey stone side quest

Edit: Nvrm you said Odd Key, didnt know that quest was a trigger for her tho

I think this statement perfectly encompasses why you should do everything in this game, who knows what a certain sidequest will cause to happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  6. Playing on a higher difficulty setting primarily means tougher gym battles and less money being awarded at the end of a battle. The gym leaders' Pokemon are higher leveled, and they can even carry different Pokemon from their Normal and Casual counterparts. Intense Mode is, as indicted by the name, intense. But certainly not impossible. If you're up for a challenge, Intense Mode is the way to go.

  7. Is there a certain place in the game map where we should save and be in before downloading and starting the next episode? I clicked through the end of the episode text to get to the spoiler, so I wasn't sure if it said where to be or not.

You should save near the train with Venam, Kanon, and Melia.

  8. Main question I have is how many gym battles have changed in between the previous episode and the new one?

I know that's a very niche question though, so if you can't answer it no worries. I intend to find out myself either way, but would be nice to know before restarting.

I don't quite understand what you're asking. None of the battles have changed. Levels may have been tweaked but that's really it.

  9. All right, well I haven't been on in a while, so for anyone who doesn't know me I'm Polaris and I'm an alpha tester for Rejuvenation. If anyone has any questions concerning the game I can help (since I've played through it like six times by now :') rip ). I'm also going to be making a promotion thread for V8 soon so keep an eye out for that! I think you guys are going to like this version a lot. Jan did a really great job on this one.

  10. Usually, being inside any Pokecenter is safe.

Since there are Pokecenter redesigns being included in this update, I would advise against this. When loading this new update, I would suggest loading up near the train with Venam, Kanon, and Melia.

  11. Since I want to find more to do in the game now that I've beaten the recent release, can someone point me into the direction of starting the Odd Key event?

I may be wrong here, but I believe after you beat Amber, Narcissa will move away from the statue in her arena and that will trigger the event.
