also I never understood the heal shard in the middle of the puzzle for the electric maze and not at the end

It's fixed now and was also a good excuse for him to get updated to E18.2 which is a plus.

As for the friendship evolutions, from what I can tell that's not the fault of a mod or anything, it's actually a bug (or possibly design decision) in Reborn itself
Pokemon don't gain the friendship they're supposed to from levelling up if it's in battle and they aren't the active pokemon. This applies to both switch training and vanilla or modded xp share. Wonja is actually what caused me to test/report it.

Unlike Sand Attack as we just saw, Sing has never even really worked for him. Even when he does land it, the damn thing never sticks. I hesitate to count Radmous's Reuniclus since Radmous basically threw that battle.

He also passed on teaching Kiki Play Rough right before the Luna battle no less resulting in his no doubt being the first player to ever black out to her.

Admittedly, however, these such choices are what make him an entertaining albeit a bit frustrating watch.

I almost feel bad, this upcoming gauntlet might just break him harder than Terra.

He has the same team as his last terra attempt I have no faith for his 1st try

He should really make a poll card and let the viewers decide who the weakest link is everytime he blacks out. Even if they don't vote for the actual weakest it still gets rid of his bias

In regards to the X-Defends, I personally never use X items but believe it was fair use here. Considering Samson is the most pure brute physical strength focused character in the game that battle is probably the most logical use of them and he still struggled and lost over half his team.
Additionally, since he doesn't use revives, he needs to put extra effort into avoiding fainting.

Next Gym Leader: Charlotte. His current team is gonna have a lot of fun with her. XP
