    Worst part of Sun/Moon, on my first replay, is how important battles (Hau, Dexio, etc.) will just let you continue through if you lose like nothing happened! I wanna suffer on my Monotype like with May 3!

     

    Loss means I have to restrategize. Obviously Delibird, Eevee, and Crabrawler are gonna have a tough time, but with a second try I could do it. But no, they don't afford me that chance.

      You could always just save first and reset until you beat them.

      That's true, though I'm arguing instead that it's a bad game design choice.

      Meh, it's a no-prep battle in a game that's targeted at children alongside long-term fans. Those kids need to get past Alolan Raichu too, and they don't get their kicks from losing hard out of the blue.
