Basically I work on gathering music, spriting, story and a few days and some practice from now, map design. Axxel also works on advanced spriting, other music and coding.
Thanks to all for your offers of help and I might take some of you up on it sometime soon. And pbood, I'd be happy to do that. Perhaps send me something you've done yourself and I can tell you where you could improve things.
Ok. But as for your question, Axxel's had over 3 years of self-teaching and experience. He's become a bit of a pro without being taught by anyone. As for me well, I really just messed around a bit for the past month or two and used opinions of others to see what I was doing wrong. I'd be willing to teach, but I know only basic techniques. Axxel's vastly and I mean VASTLY more experienced, but is very busy at the moment.
We all know those games. Those games that touch us in ways that we've never been touched before. Wait, I should rephrase that. Those games who emotionally invest you in a way no other can. For me, its Mother 3. If you've played it, you know what I mean.
Sprites, going well. Story, going well. Gameplay..........erm.............not so much. To compensate, I've just started learning to use RPG Maker to speed up the process.
It won't be the only music reference in the game.
