And I've swept Charlotte without much effort. Mamoswine Earthquake with Noivern using Hurricane to put out the fire. When Mamoswine and Noivern went down I sent out Golem and using Stone Edge and used Hariyama for Knock off and Close Combat.
-
nope,it Terra
edit but charlotte is very hard to beat
I almost beat her on my first try. Setup Rain Dance with Greninja, Setup 2 toxic spikes with Drapion. Sweep with Golem's Earthquake and Noivern's Hurricane.
-
Is Charlotte the last Gym Leader in the current release?
-
Aya, Samson, Luna, Kiki, and Rodamus. All of these gym leaders haven't given me a problem when I faced them with my team.
-
Just as an update to everyone. I was able to sweep Samson with the team above. Only difference was a few levels gained prior to him.
-
it's good to know SOMEONE uses Hariyama this late in the game when I'm trying to convince people it's a good Pokemon.
Granbull is generally an interesting Pokemon because Clefable and Azumarill are viable options for a team's Fairy type fairly early - which is why the intrigue is there from some.
You kinda have to make that sacrifice when you're going for a fighting type. It's either get Hariyama early game or wait til you can get Scraggy and get a Scrafty.
Granbull is just a monster with how many physical attackers you fight in the gyms now.
I just didn't know because no one uses it.
Couldn't find a marill so I went with the next best thing.
-
Oops, i misread the topic, and I didn't even know Granbull is good for late game
Well considering you have a Dark, Psychic, Dragon gym leader late game it comes in handy. Not only that since it's a Fairy-Type you can generally fuck with a lot of the other trainers.

The last 2 gym leaders I've faced haven't proven too difficult. I've heard Luna is supposed to be a tough battle, but 2 layers of Toxic spikes and a few Close Combats shut her out. For those curious, my squad for the battle was.
Greninja Lv. 58 - Protean
Water Pulse, Extrasensory, Substitute, Smack Down
Noivern Lv 58 - Infiltrator
Dragon Pulse, Boomburst, Shadow Ball, Hurricane
Granbull Lv. 58 - Intimidate
Play Rough, Fire Fang, Outrage, Strength
Drapion Lv. 57 - Sniper
Cross Poison, Fell Stinger, Toxic Spikes, Crunch
Hariyama Lv. 58 - Guts
Knock Off, Close Combat, Wake-Up Slap, Heavy Slam
Mamoswine Lv 58 - Thick Fat
Ancient Power, Rock Smash, Ice Shard, Earthquake.
This squad has served me well since I got it.

Where is 3rd and Dahlia. I've already done the gang quest line, but can't find it to get to 7th Street.
-
Get some fire with moves like Lava Plume or Flame Burst to set the field on fire
Get Magneton/Excadrill
Use toxic Spikes too
Granbull and Hariyama can't help u alot b/c of the types
The Stuggle Bug tactic allowed me to easily take out his Clefable as it couldn't hit more then my Mamoswine could heal from the field. All in all I stalled him out since he couldn't attack anymore.

Having an Issue with Noel. This is my team.
Greninja Lv. 53 - Protean

Mamoswine Lv. 53 - Thick Fat

This gym battle is the most frustrating one I've run in to. The fucking clefable heals no only with Leftovers, but also get softboiled. On top of this you can't poison, paralyze, or burn it to help get damage off.
-
Yea, that's completely normal for that to be there. Considering your next gym battle, it should come in handy.
It freaked me the hell out. I was like "Oh an encounter, Oh a Donphan, Oh shit it's level 50!"
-
So while I was grinding up my Snubbull for the battle against Kiki I ended up finding this in the cave below shades gym. Guess I don't need to grind all that much now. lol http://gyazo.com/21d6bb70d71ea5e8566d391366b6be0a
-
What else can stop a fighting type gym faster then anything then this beast of a Fairy Type pokemon? Play Rough puts fighting types down and with intimidate their damage is pathetic.
-
The puzzles in this game are so well designed. The challenge for your mind is present even when not in battle. Kudos Amethyst.
-
Now that you're so close to evolving it, keep it. Train it for those last few levels by grinding?
I can go over level 45 til after the Gym badge though. I guess I should keep it all things considered.
-
I currently have level 41 Noibat and it's only 7 levels now away from evolving. Problem is that it can't really take hits now that I'm closing in on the 5th Gym Badge. In your opinions, should I swap it out or keep going til it evolves into Noivern?
-
Would Shade happen to be using a critical hit ratio raising item, move or ability?
He's the Ghost Type Gym Leader. He's a cunt just for that principle alone, but no he isn't using anything to do it. By the way, 15 crits in a row now.
And now 25.
-
The RNG is a savage mistress my friend.
What's the RNG? 1 in 2?
-
You probably just don't have luck on your side. From what I'm aware of, there has been no tampering with crit chances.
I'm at 7 Critical hits in a row from Shade and counting. Not sure what the hell is going on.
-
Why is the critical hit chance so low for the player, but set so high for the AI? It seems like anytime you have the upper hand on an NPC they can just hit criticals non stop til you lose.

Where is the move tutor's house key and how many badges are needed to obtain it?
Charlotte is a joke

Everyone says "Charlotte is the toughest gym leader. You'll get beat a lot by her." I only took 3 times to beat her. Strategy was pretty simple too. Mamoswine uses Earthquake turn 1 and Noivern uses Hurricane to put out the flames if they get put up. If mamoswine and Noivern die switch in Golem and use Stone Edge and Switch in Hariyama and use Knock off and Close Combat. All in all the only sub I made was the Golem for my Granbull. Now that the gym is done golems chilling in the box.
Team I used for this challenge was.
Mamoswine Lv. 64 - Thick Fat
Ancient Power, Rock Smash, Ice Shard, Earthquake
Golem Lv. 60 - Sturdy
Earthquake, Stone Edge, Explosion, Stealth Rock
Greninja Lv. 62 - Protean
Surf, Rain Dance, Extrasensory, Smack Down
Hariyama Lv. 63 - Thick Fat
Knock Off, Strength, Close Combat, Heavy Slam
Drapion Lv. 62 - Sniper
Cross Poison, Rain Dance, Toxic Spikes, Crunch
Noivern Lv. 63 - Infiltrator
Dragon Pulse, Boomburst, Shadow Ball, Hurricane.
