That's why I buy Abyssal when I play an ap vs ap match up in mid lane. Merc Treds increased tenacity is nice as well in somecases, but ultimately QSS will save your butt in most situations, another thing about malz ult is if you can get viktor w off right under him just as he ults you, the stun should interrupt the cast letting you live as well as turn around the all in.

Tbh QSS can be considered and adc's best friend. If you are Sivir you can be really special and block 2 abilities 1 with e and 1 with QSS

even with knowing about baron being down, your enemies could still figure it out pretty easily just with a blue trinket or the absence of people in lane. Knowing full well when you should leave takes skill that I myself have yet to master, however it isn't had to figure out baron or dragon is going to be a fight. Big part of baron is keeping an eye on death tiners
