  1. For me, my signature pokemon is hands down Blaziken. Ever since I first played through Ruby, I fell in love with the pokemon, and it has been my favorite since then. When Blaziken got a mega evolution in gen 6, I'm pretty sure my life was then complete.

  2. I don't know if I'm the only one that sees it this way, but Driftblim as a flying ship of some kind. It's kind of reaching pretty far, but a flying pirate ship is pretty cool =P.

I know if I was a pirate pokemon trainer, I would totally have a sableye, it's a sinister and funny trickster, and has a connection to gem stones (treasure).

  3. I think the only way you can get magikarp is if you find a downlaod for episode 12, since after that it was removed to probably be put back much later into the game in the future.

How much you wana bet that quest where you pay 500 for that mysterious pokemon that get's chain stolen for the entire game is actually a magikarp...

  4. Just like in the cannon games, legendary pokemon are not gonna be available in pokemon reborn until post game. The legendary pokemon you see before then will most likely be a part of the story and thus not gonna be catchable. As for the psuedo-legendary pokemon, and other pokemon that are overlal powerful are left for late game. It is very likely that we will be able to obtain most, if not all the non-legendary pokemon ebfore we take on the Elite 4 and Champion, so just be patient. The reason that many poweful pokemon are not available early on is because they would trivialize many of the challenging fights in the game, and also to give some spotlight to less used and overlooked pokemon. Pokemon reborn has taught me that Emolga for example, who is usually an overlooked pokemon, is actually extremely useful early to mid game. There are many other pokemon like that, you just gotta give them a chance.

  5. If you want another flying type to replace crobat, and still want it to use special attacks, you could try Noivern. It still has good speed, it's special attack is respectable, and with moves like Stab Dragon Pulse and BoomBurst, setting up shouldnt really be needed with how powerful the moves are themselves. Plus Noivern's move pool is much better than crobat, i recommend Dragon Pulse, BoomBurst, Hurricane/AirSlash, Flamethrower. Since it's frail, I would just slap a life orb on it and have it go to town. Probably make it Modest with Spe/SpAtk EVs.

The thing with gogoat is, yet it has a lot of hp, but it's defenses arent exactly super, the goal is to set it up on something that can't hit it very hard, and once you get a few bulk ups, then it really starts to shine. I agree with the above posts about lilligant, and another grass type to consinder is roserade if you end up getting rid of crobat for something non-poison type.

  6. Probably my charizard. There were many moments where he was able to take out 2-4 mons before going down. His most clutch performance was against Serra, he was confused and at red hp, blaze was active, and he battled through confusion and procedded to sweep 1/2 of Serras pokemon before she sent out that stupid speed racer snowflake Cryogonal, which outsped my charizard and ended the sweep.

  7. No megas are avaliable as of the current release, i beleive they're going to be released once the game is released, as they're quite overpowered (in my opinion)

Once the boss trainers start using Megas against us, thats probabably when we will get a key stone to use mega stones with. I can just feel it in my gut that the E4 and champion will all have a mega evolution, as well as the final team Meteor boss.

  8. How about Anorith? It's a sea creature, and with Shell Armour it doesn't get the boost. Tho with Swift Swim it would.

Armaldo however, is a land pokemon with Swift Swim so that would be kind of odd....

Idk, the way I interpret Anorith/Armaldo is if they ahve shell Armour they are adapted to land, and if they have swift swim, they are adapted to water, but that's just my interpretation =/. But theres no harm in giving the shell armour variants an exemption.

  9. Cradily could be another exception, since it lives on the sea floors acording to the pokedex:

Omega Ruby: "Cradily roams around the ocean floor in search of food. This Pokémon freely extends its tree trunk-like neck and captures unwary prey using its eight tentacles."

  10. Solar Power Charizard has served me well, once I got the sunny day tm, taught it and if it got a turn to set up the sun, flamethrower blasted it's way through anything that didn't resist it.

My next normal run will probably be with a Bulletproof Chespin, my second all time favorite, charmander being my first.

  11. The battle with Julia has begun!

Leading with Bertha, I was able to take out the Heleoptile with a few rollouts, thank god to no miss hax, this also used up one of Julia's potions. Now the Voltorb comes out, so i switched to Nemo, just to get some damage on it, and Nemo managed to get 2 water guns off before going down to a charge beam. Champion then comes in and takes out the Voltorb with a Mach punch. Julia then went into Emolga, and I decided to switch into Jolt, use a few cute charms to take down Emolga's attack to nothingness, then proceed to 3HKO with Spark. For the second Voltorb, I sent out Bertha again, who managed to get a tackle off before going down. Champion comes in next, but also gets taken out by the voltorb, leaving the voltorb with only a sliver of health left. Jolt now comes in, and Julia uses her second potion, but Jolt lands a crit quick attack and takes that hp back down, and after 2 more quick attacks, and a missed sonic boom, Jolt took down the voltorb. Now with the Blitzle, i swiched in Shelly, who took down that little zebra no probs with 2 fury cutters. Now just the electrode, and with a fury cutter chain still going, the battle ended with Shelly taking out the electrode, and the aftermath killing Shelly! Leaving only Jolt alive, and winning me the battle.

I also remembered there was another gen 4 poke i could catch, a stunky! Introducing Perfume the female Docile Stunky! SHortly after, Bertha hit level 15 and evolved into a Bibarel.

    Now entering Obsidian ward.

    Current Team:

391.gif Champion: The lvl 15 Jolly Monferno (male) (Iron Fist)

400.gifBertha: The lvl 15 Jolly Bibarel (female) (Moody)

456.gif Nemo: The lvl 14 Sassy Finneon (female) (Water Veil)

402.gif Shelly: The lvl 15 Docile Kricketune (female) (Technician)

417.gifJolt: The lvl16 Lonely Pachirisu (male) (Volt Absorb)

434.gif Perfume: The level 12 Docile Stunky (female) (Stench)

  12. My (farfetched) guess is that we will face them separately in hard to reach places and that is going to be something like multiple rounds against the same opponent with a different field effect or gimmick each round on a best of 3... or something really elaborated like that.

The idea of them being "champions on top of a mountain" sounds glorious. Having to solve puzzles just to get to them, and then having a very difficult battle at the end, kind of like temples in zelda XD. Each one would giev you a key or something, and you need all 4 to reach the champion.

  13. This guy requires some mind games and predictions, but I like using him in UU.

    Snatch Druddigon

    Druiddigon @ Rocky Helmet

    Ability: Rough Skin

    EVs: 252 Hp / 4 SpD / 252 Def

    Impish Nature

    - Snatch

    - Sucker Punch

    - Glare

    - Dragon Claw

If they try to set up on him, I snatch it, and if they go for a physical move, he can take mostly anything, get a sucker punch in, and deal a good amount of damage back with rocky helmet and rough skin. Glare is for utility, and dragon claw is for when you just want to hit something. It's fun when you can steal a DD or SD, but not always effective.

  14. Don't all regions just keep going even tho the region is about to get destroyed?

    Yea you got a point.

The answer to all this is...plot.

Now seriously: i don't know the exact answers (probably no one aside Ame knows ^_^) but i can guess, so...

    1) Like other people said, before the "crisis" started there were probably other (more conventional) means to leave/enter the city.

    2) This is Reborn so i can guess no one managed to beat all the Gyms/Elite Four (with maybe Lin being the first one to "succeed") because too difficult.

    3) I don't (well no one does) enough about Shade (and his ties to in-game Ame) to answer.

    4) Like others said, because it would be "illegal" to assault the orphanage and take them (and probably she didn't even know they were treated badly).

    5) I'm wondering that myself, she is a legal adult so why didn't she take them in custody?

    4) But I was apointed as a Reborn Police Officer, /arrest sigmund plox ;-;

  15. Catch an early pidove and it'll evolve into a powerful staraptor.

You silly, pidove doesnt evolve into staraptor.

On Topic: Pyroar is also not a bad normal type if your also looking for a good fire type. Hyper Voice + FLamethrower can hit a lot of things pretty hard. Only downside is the poor fello lacks in the ability department, since rivalry and unnerve are both situational, and moxie bossts attack instead of sp. attack =/.

  16. Tropius is also not a bad option, if you find yourself needing something to take care of Rock types.

I think hawlucha should take care of rock types just fine.

Also, this is something I like to do in mono-type runs, have 4-5 pokemon that are your chosen type, and 1-2 pokemon that can be any type, since imo, mono-type is sometimes difficult to do fully in a pokemon game, since things like HMs exist and what not. (This also seems to be the case with Fern and Cain in this game, who are mono-type trainers, but have 1-2 pokemon of different types to help overcome large weaknesses and whatnot.)

Another thing, ones you are able to get him, archeops is a monster of a pokemon, as long as you keep him above 1/2 hp, acrobatics + 3 other coverage moves can basically destroy most things that don't resist, and since he learns U-turn naturally, youc an always get him out of te fight if you dont think he can take the guy out without droping below 1/2 hp or dying.
