So, sort of wanted to share this. Starts off off-topic but it will get back on track in a few. A little while ago, I my computer's main HDD basically crapped out and died on me - or rather, BSoD'd on windows login(Critical_Process_Died and I couldn't fix it by any means - and boy did I try..). I ended up installing a new SSD and reinstalling Win10 OS, and its basically better than it was before. Minus the fact that I lost nearly everything on the drive. Luckily I had a bunch of stuff stored on Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and my MP3 player of all things. Gotta love backing stuff up from something like this. Scary to experience, but glad there are options out there to help prevent total loss of data. I was going through and moving my music on my MP3 to my computer, when I saw a strange looking zip file. It looked familiar, but I couldn't remember what it was at first glance. After extracting it, I new that it was Pokemon Reborn(it was named E14.1.1 lol). I quickly went to the main page, checked out and downloaded the newest version, and then remembered that I didn't have my save file from before. Bummer. :/ So, started over, and decided to once again try and get a shiny starter. I have to admit, I didn't expect to get it on my first try. Either the rates have increased a lot, or I'm just really damn lucky! All he needs is a name, which I'll don him with later. lol. First try, and I grab myself a shiny Charmander. :3 I did, however, get a brilliant idea on a different way to play PKMN Reborn as I was waiting for the download to finish. A while ago, I bought Pinnacle Game Profiler. After mapping the keys out in a profile - which I'm still tweaking tbh - I've basically found a more enjoyable way to play the game: With a PS3 Controller. xD This is sort of a question post as well; Has anyone tried, or is anyone currently using the method, or a similar method, to play PKMN Reborn? Is anyone using PGP to customize their controller to their liking for this game? Wouldn't mind bouncing idea's off those that might be using PGP to play it. I find its a bit more relaxing to do it this way to be honest. The only reason I'm using PGP is because my controller doesn't usually get recognized by games. Its technically a PS3 controller, but its not at the same time. The controller is an Afterglow Controller for PS3. Not exactly supported for some games(Tried it with Black Desert, but the game wouldn't recognize it. :/ lol)

Yeah, I ended up teaching him Dragon Rage the first fight after winning the badge just now. Probably would of helped a bit lol. I'm considering it. His poison and Meowth were the reason I got the badge after all.

Okay, so, when I came to the forums, so of you guys told me that the gyms were gonna be challenging. Keeping this in mind, I kept my pokemon's levels relatively close to each others. I also tried to play it smart. I took a pokemon in, knowing full well that he was gonna faint in the start. Team consisted of Trubbish Lv 8 Meowth Lv 16 Charmander Lv 14 Panpour Lv 14 Hoothoot Lv 15 Trubbish tagged along because of Toxic Spikes. I threw him out there, he did his thing(I didn't know that you could use it twice to badly poison the enemy however), and fainted shortly after. My Meowth knows Fake Out and Bite. So far, I've been combining Meowth's attacks with Hoothoots Hypnosis. It's been effectively working, but with the field poison, I knew it wouldn't. Essentially, everyone on my team was a bodyguard for Meowth. It almost worked. I got to Electrode and promptly lost. I took a look at what I had in my pokemon storage and found a Lv 12 Purrloin with the ability Limber thinking 'maybe he can get a couple hits in before fainting..'. It ended up not doing much in the ways of attacks, but it had its use as a meat-shield. Second round: Trubbish Lv 8 Meowth Lv 17 Charmander Lv 14 Panpour Lv 14 Hoothoot Lv 15 Purrloin Lv 12 Trubbish goes out, does his thing, takes a thundershock crit at half health and is retiring for the fight. Meowth comes out and cleans house with her first Pokemon. She sends out voltorb so I send out Charmander - who dispatches voltorb with some ease via the poison field. Second Voltorb comes out, and I think Charmander takes care of it too, but I can't recall. All I know is when Emolga comes out, he's not around anymore. Since Emolga isn't affected by the poison, I try and take it out with Hoothoot(I know, but hypnosis!!). Hoothoot missed 3 outta 3 attempts on Hypnosis and fainted. So out comes Meowth to save the day. This leaves me to fight her Blitzle and Electrode with Panpour, Meowth and Purrloin. Its looking kinda grim to be honest. Wasn't sure I was gonna pull it off. I'm not sure how the rest of the fight went, but Meowth managed to win it for me. The last move was Purrloin fainting after using assist to use Panpour's Water Gun and taking a pixel of health, then Meowth coming out and not having to do anything because the Poison took out Electrode. I risked it and played it a little smart, and the badge was mine in the end because of one Pokemon. I can't wait for the next badge! > Edit: Meowth took no damage during the whole fight. He caused every single pokemon he attacked to flinch.

So, I open up the game, start walking around and see a wild Teddiursa in the middle of the street. I talked to it and it fled. Does pokemon showing up outside of battles randomly happen like that every so often?

Listening to that now. Its giving me that 'need to get back into the game and level' feeling! I'm probably gonna have to add it to a few of my playlists. lol Yeah, I have a few Pokémon in mind for later on that I wanna try. I'm generally pretty good when it comes to Pokémon games, but if I'll definitely be wandering the forums around if I need help or to discuss things! I've already been doing so tbh. I read in a forum post somewhere that a gym leader named 'Shade' was gonna be tough! I hope that's true! > I ended up getting a warning point, which, after reading the rules I kinda expected. Going for Charmander. Always went with Charmander in the past, so aiming for that. Plus the GF went with it so now its a competition to see who raises the better one. haha and thanks for the info!! @ Jericho Thanks for the info friend! Yeah, I've been researching it a bit. Didn't know about that level cap bit though. That's pretty cool! If you lower a Pokémon's level with a common candy and it learned a move on the higher level, will it unlearn the move?

I had this big, long introduction written out, and went to edit some parts by doing the ctrl+left and I hit alt+left by accident and now its all gone.. lmfao, oh well.. Anyways, people who know me online know me as 'Floyd' or 'Floyd Hunter'. I'm an avid gamer. I tend to stick to MMO's like GW2 or Tera, and I have my eye on Black Desert(cant wait to make a wizard in that game lol). I also dabble in some MOBA's(Smite, sometimes but very rarely LoL). I saw a post on tumblr about this site/game and decided to check it out. After some light research into it via the site, and finding out that the game was a standalone and not a rom hack, I decided to install it and play it. So far, I'm liking the game. I haven't gotten too far into it though. I'm trying to get a shiny starter and its not going so well.. lol. I did, however, get my GF hooked onto the game. She's way past me. Either going for or just got her third badge. She was having some issues in the beginning with her starter being 20+ before getting the first badge. I think she's new in general to the games, or at least didn't expect the Pokémon to ignore her orders and loaf around half the time lol. I thought it was funny, she however did not. xD Anyways, I've been playing Pokémon off and on since I was a kid. Back in the good old days of Red and Blue. A simpler time.. lol. I kinda stopped playing, but still followed between Diamond/Pearl and Black/White generations. I did play a bit of Soul Silver, and a very small amount of Black but that's about it from those generations. I'm considering getting, sometime down the road, Omega Ruby and console to play it on. In the mean time, I'll spend my Pokémon time in the Reborn Region! ~Floyd PS: I have one question before I go back to my shiny starter attempts; when you go to name your starter, the sprite that is there, will it be the shiny colour if you get a shiny? or will it just be the regular colour and you have to check your team out to see if its shiny?
