I personally hope that the last leader we battle isn't Sapphira. I've always felt that, since most dragons are pseudos, it's one of the strongest types by default, if not the strongest; at least at face value. Seems kind of cliche to me to battle Sapphira last because of that. Also, there's no guaranteed that we fight Amaria in this Episode, despite the episode title; she and Titania have to fix their relationship first. Besides, Amaria's trainer class in the PBS is "Fiancee", which I don't think she is at the moment. Unless that's just a placeholder and will be changed in later episodes. Amaria's also my favorite gym leader, so I'd personally love to fight her last.

Furthermore, we know that one episode will have two leader battles, and that 2 leaders will be battled on the Dragon Field. If, after the desert, we learn that the missing twins found a way into Labradorra and we liberate that city before Agate, it would be super easy for us to battle Sapphira and Hardy in the former's gym back to back on the dragon field. We could the liberate Agate and battle Amaria afterwards.

My ordering: Titania -> Sapphira -> Hardy -> Amaria.

Water is a much much much better mono type than Dragon. So much so that competitive scenes like Smogon usually ban things like Drizzle + Swift Swim + Damp Rock, since it is extremely OP. Couple that with the most overpowered field effect in the game (Underwater field) and you have probably the hardest gym battle. This is why I feel Amaria should be last, because (if Ame wants it) she will be the hardest Leader even though a Lapras is her ace. Dragon type used to be king, but with gen VI and the fairies the type became much worse. Heck I'd say there are plenty of better types than Dragon in gen VII (Water, Flying, Steel are some of the ones I can think of).

Though I agree, I think E17 will be Tania, and 18 Hardy + Saphira.

I think it is highly unlikely that we'll battle two gym leaders in E19 given that we'll also be battling the E4. It would seem odd to put the double gym leader episode in an episode that already has an additional four or give gym leaderesque fights.

I'm starting to think that episode 18 is when we'll have the 2 gym battles. Ame said that two leaders would be using the Dragon's Den field, so it would make sense that we would battle them in the same episode. Most people think that Hardy will be the second leader to use this field. If that is true we won't be facing him in his gym, but instead we will likely battle him in Saphira's gym. So E18 would be Labradorra with Saphira and Hardy as the leaders. E19 would be Agate + Amaria + the rest.

Actually I gave luis the scyther which also I got from a trader in online play.

It's not an issue, anyone can play the game the way they want it. I even hacked myself a Drilbur for my ground mono. I was just confused because I thought that if he had access to Scizor he would also have access to all the moves/TMs/tutors. Sorry if I came off aggressive I was just trying to understand the situation.

Let me guess....the move tutor for roost isn't also in the game yet?

Roost is a TM, and it also isn't available. Though Scizor is also unavailable so I thought you were just planning a future moveset.

  4. You could also consider Roost if you want to do a more bulky Scizor. Mega Scizors usually run U-Turn/Bug Bite, Bullet Punch, Roost and Swords Dance. Also Superpower is better than Brick Break if you are looking for fighting coverage.

  5. Your team seems to be very weak to ice, having 3 pokemon weak to it and only 1 resistance. Maybe try using Rapidash and Solrock instead of Emolga and Druddigon. If you can't pass the fight with those then try getting a steel or fighting type to help. Bisharp is available at this point and its a very strong mon.

100% zygarde with core enforcer, thousand arrows focus blast and sludge wave  because op of course and stab plus weakness coverage and wide lens or assault vest and for talonflame how about flare blitz, brave bird, roost and u-turn or will-o-wisp and item sharp beak or charcoal and parasect instead of fury cutter try x-scissor and for mudsdale try finding an iron plate and for solgaleo dread plate and that's it for me good luck finding these if you do consider my suggestions

100% Zygarde is inaccessible before completing the League. Also some items like Assault Vest are also inaccessible.

  7. Ummm... I'm not sure this is the right place for this, since this sub-forum is for Reborn specifically. But let me see what to do with that team:

    • For Incineroar ditch Leer and Thrash, give it Leech Life and Cross Chop instead. Consider switching Flamethrower for Flare Blitz since its Attack stat is usually higher.
    • For Arca, give it ExtremeSpeed over Agility.
    • Talonflame needs some STAB, give it Flare Blitz over Quick Attack. Also consider giving it Brave Bird so you can use an item on it.
    • For Fearow give it Drill Run over Agility.
    • Give Parasect X-Scissor over Fury Cutter.
    • Mudsdale doesn't need Earthquake and High Horsepower. Give it Superpower and Rock Slide over High Horsepower and Iron Defense.
    • Give Solgaleo Flare Blitz over Cosmic Power.

I have no idea what level your pokemon are, so some of these moves may be inaccesible atm. Also your team is pretty weird, I really don't get the need for three Fire types. I'd suggest to replace Arcanine and Talonflame for pokemon that can give more type coverage to your team.

    EDIT:

Also try giving your mons items like for example the STAB boosting ones (Charcoal, Nevermeltice, Twisted Spoon, Plates, Etc.) or maybe other things.

  8. I second this, HMs or TMXs have to go! Seriously having to carry Rock Smash on one of your pokemons for the 9/11th gym is beyond annoying. It gets even worse when you need Surf, Dive AND Waterfall to traverse certain areas.

  9. Hawlucha only has a 5% chance of holding a King's Rock, Compound Eyes raises that to 20%. The ability does work in Reborn, and you can get multiple King's Rock from the wild pokemon. So yeah, you're probably unlucky, try using a pokemon with Frisk or Theif so that you don't have to catch so many Hawlucha.

Thank you very much. Btw do you know any other place where I can use that water-freezing thingie?

No, but there are other places where you can interact with the field effects such as the Sableye cave in Iolia Valley and the room with the crystals under the Grand Stairway.

After finding many keys and unlocking many houses 1 key seems to be unusable. F34. Does anyone know something about that? And what's with the cave around the K# houses? Can I go against the current or something?

You need to freeze the water in the cave to get past the current, try using blizzard while battling a wild pokemon in the water. Also there are four total underwater cities (K city, two F cities, and a S city), all of the keys can be used, but not all of the houses can be opened.

I can confirm that she mentioned during the stream that she wishes to remake the start of the story, possibly to show the player arrive via the desert into the station before it blows up.

Titania will also be battled on a moving train. I can dream.

EDIT: I also should say that it's worth noting that the sprite package that Ame released contains the default Gen7 sprites and their canon shines. However, Ame made a second set of custom shinies for Reborn only, and those are the ones that will be used in the game. Only mentioning it because the shiny mention on the first post isn't too to detailed. Also, her custom shinies are amazing and everyone should browse through the folder when it's released. Dhelmise is my favorite.

At first I read that as "Titania will also be on the exploding train". One can only dream...

Though if we are counting information from the streams, I remember some stuff Ame said during the shiny stream:

    • A-Vulpix will be catchable in the wild. (My guess is Ametrine)
    • Wingull will get axed to a later part of the game.
    • Alolan Forms will be treated like alternate forms. My guess is that any mention to Alola will be removed for the sake of consistency.
    • Cain might get A-Muk for his team. If that happens the cutscenes involving his grimer/muk will be reworked.
    • Alolan forms will get new types of evolutions. I think this refers to forms like A-Marowak, A-Raichu, A-Exeggutor, etc.
    • Serra's team will be reworked for Aurora Veil. She will now handout the TM for Aurora Veil. Also her field effect might change to reflect the changes made to her team.
    • This last one isn't really a teaser but more of a fun fact. Arclight isn't the DJ's real name, but it is only his stage name.

There's also this awesome shiny that Ame posted on her twitter:

I fixed the list you made since there were a few mistakes. While Tania and Hardy aren't 100% confirmed, those are very highly likely the aces they will use based on what they used during their league battles.

As for the non badge leaders (they all served as gym leaders during the league season though):

    Sigmund: Electivire

El: Ditto (people say Snorlax, but he's also had Smeargle in his pictures)

    Laura: Lilligant

    Blake: Walrien

    Cal: Magmortar

    Cain: Nidoking

Victoria: Gallade (Emboar in the games though)

Arclight: Jolteon (Ampharos in game though)

    Heather: Salamence

    Bennett: Volcarona

Anna: No idea, but has Gothitelle (likely won't use Jirachi)

    Lin: Hydreigon

    Fern: Roserade

Anna doesn't have a Gothitelle anymore, the cutscene in the orphanage was changed to remove it. Not to mention Ame said she was considering giving her Jirachi (before E16 came out). I think that most likely points towards Nostra being her ace. Also IIRC Hardy's most recent aces for the online league was Lunatone and Solrock and for the most part the gym leaders use their most recent aces (such as Amaria with Lapras instead of Kingdra). Though Gigalith, Tyranitar and (I think) Shuckle were also his aces at some point in the online League.

  14. You need to change some of these moves:

    • Get rid of Zap Cannon on Magnezone, give it Thunder Wave.
    • Give Swampert Hammer Arm over Protect.
    • Get rid of Fly and Super Fang on Noivern. Give it Flamethrower and Dark Pulse/Boomburst.
    • For Leavanny get rid of Nature Power, give it Knock Off.
    • Why does your Beartic have Rock Smash and Sheer Cold? Give it Superpower and Play Rough/Night Slash (egg moves). If you don't want to breed a new Beartic give it Dig or Bulldoze.
    • Get rid of Brick Break on Scrafty. Give it Dragon Dance (egg move), if you don't want to breed a new one give it Zen Heabutt or Fire Punch/Thunder Punch.

Also natures, natures, natures. Give Magnezone Modest, Beartic Adamant, Leavanny Jolly, and Noivern Modest/Timid. You can change natures in 7th Street.

I'd recommend for you to replace Beartic, since there are a lot of better ice types. One of them is Weavile. Use Weavile.

What abilities do these mons have?
