  1. Lucas's efforts in holding the door were suddenly aided by a second body. Aliah had regained his ability to move and chose to take in the situation a bit better before acting. Slipping past the chaos of bodies, both people and pokemon, Aliah leaned casually against the door. His blue eyes were coolly frozen as they took in the group. He hoped no one could see through his facade. His body showed the stress of his mental state with subtle signs though. With Keme still on his head, Aliah spoke for the first time in a while. "We should leave while the situation is favorable to us."
  2. Apologies for not posting but my tonsillitis didn't respond to the antibiotics. I'm just about to start a round of steroids for it. I've been arguing with the doctor since monday about my symptoms not getting better but worse. Finally yesterday I got something of an answer. Not sure how the steroids will make me feel though... To Chim: I'm glad you're not throwing in the towel. I'm so sorry that your colleague tried to kill themselves. Hopefully this RP will be a release for the stress in life right now. To Hukuna: I'm sorry for what you're going through at this time and am praying for your family.
  3. My apologies for not posting but I'm waging war with Tonsillitis at the moment and the antibiotic is kicking my ass. 2nd time this year (which I've never ever had before this year) so the dose is upped to kill it. I'm lucky to be able to stay awake for an hour, my energy is near 0. This is the best I've been feeling in 4 days.
  4. Male Dorms The feeling of his fist hitting flesh was disorienting but add a new scream amid the nightmare and Aliah could only whip around in a circle, fists outstretched. Panic clouded his vision somewhat but Aliah could make out Johnny and Lucas. Keme had been carefully watching and suddenly jumped up his tongue whipping through the air with a faint purple glow. It struck Aliah's outstretched fist and caused the boy to freeze in place. With his body unable to move, Aliah could finally try and get a hold of himself. His eye's searched the room, and his fellow trainers. Lucas was the source of the scream, Aliah realized, as the boy was staring frozen at him. As though uncertain if he should run from Aliah or move to... Johnny! The oddity of Lucas's figure, and the soft pained breathing below him, jerked Aliah's still frozen gaze. Forcing his head to move, albeit microscopically Aliah could better make out Johnny and his Fennekin. It was obvious now that Aliah had punched poor Johnny in his stomach. Then he was trying to wake me up, Aliah thought absently. The paralyzing affect of Lick was slowly weakening and Aliah managed to utter an apology as Keme hopped on his head with a soft thump. "I'm... sorry... Johnny."
  5. Aliah vaguely noted a voice before a stinging sensation on his face. Keme had stopped hopping as the newcomer knelt beside his friend. He gave a questioning croak as Johnny attempted to wake Aliah. His fingers twitched as though stretching. Aliah didn't wake quietly. One moment he's still, the next he's sitting strait up, pupils wide and unseeing. Reflexes take hold and Aliah's fist shot out at Johnny, aiming for his stomach. A low sound, almost a growl, rumbles from his chest.
  6. Was that "Are you alright?" directed towards Aliah Cyaloom? If so you won't get a response. Someone needs to physically shake Aliah (as in waking someone from a nightmare) before I can do anything. EDIT so as not to double post! K_H, Aliah isn't fully awake and doesn't realize it's Johnny. He's acting on trained instinct and reflex.
  7. I'm waiting on the others in the dorm. Aliah's not in a state to move atm.
  8. I had originally planned it as a modify gravity's affect. But air pressure also came to mind hence my dilemma. (Though I failed to say that... damn morning brain failure.) EDIT: I think I'll go the air pressure route first. Gravity hurts my brain atm.
  9. That wasn't me asking. It was nugget. Just to clarify. Mainly working on the ability atm. The ability I'm trying to work out would be a sort of fusion of Teleport (Telekinesis?) + Clairvoyance. She'd be able to 'fly' for short periods and snipe targets from afar. But as I'm a clueless newbie who knows nothing, I'm spending a lot of time on the wiki trying to figure out the 'basic' stuff. So I'll take advice (and criticism) on making the ability workable but not OP broken. So... feel free to chime in. (Prays that I don't start a firestorm...)
  10. Best of luck with that Hiss. Technology is wonderful when it works and a bitch pain in the ass when it doesn't.
  11. Aliah: Male Dorm Hallway The scream that left Aliah's throat was a piercing, blood chilling one. The agony it carried was unmistakable. The eyes had blazed to life from the darkness as the cold once again seemed to creep into his bones. Broken memories razed up to the surface causing the boy to do the only thing possible. Scream. Keme was suddenly dropped as Aliah grabbed his head in pain. The Froakie heard a yip and turned to see a Fennekin trying to get them to take shelter before heading back to it's trainer and safety. Aliah dropped to his knees and shivered, wrapping his arms around him in an instinctive need to protect himself. Keme managed a nod to the Fennekin before trying to help Aliah. Keme jumped repeated into his friend, attempting to move the frozen boy through force. His efforts only succeeded in causing Aliah to end up on his side, now curled in a fetal position. Eye's closed tight against the thing unfolding. The words were too soft and fast to understand. Keme hopped on to his trainer and tried to soothe the darkness in his mind.
  12. Working on a bio (sounds interesting)... though I know nothing of the series. (Yay for wiki!)
  13. LOL. And Aliah's out in the hallway now... with a bit of regret.
  14. Aliah: Room 040 The bed slammed violently against the wall, and Aliah was suddenly bombarded with noise. Gripping Keme tightly in one hand, Aliah rolled free from under the bed. Crawling on all fours, well three's, Aliah found himself amid a sea of clothes thanks to his dumped over luggage. Struggling to deal with the shift from soundless to explosions-worth of noise, Aliah did hear a new sound. Running water. And judging from the sound, it was a lot of water. "Bad, bad, very bad!" Aliah mumbled as Keme scanned the room for a cause. Dragging on the closest set of shirt and pants, Aliah had little choice but flee barefoot into the hallway. The sounds from his room weakened slightly with distance, giving Aliah a bit of room to think. Frantically glancing around the hallway, Aliah realized he was alone. "Maybe leaving our room was a bad idea..." Aliah said slowly to Keme, as the froakie merely croaked in fear and confusion.
  15. Awww... sorry to ruin your plan Chim *grins*. I'll drag him out with some haste, though I'm trying to avoid another trip into his mind just yet. And I need to try and get him slightly dressed. Running through a dorm of unknown people in your underclothes isn't exactly a good first day....
  16. Aliah The sudden oppressive silence, coupled with the physical cold that was encircling him caused Aliah to panic. His gaze swept the room but even the dancing appliances made no sound as he watched them. Turning to Keme who was clearly croaking, though he'd moved to the desk, Aliah heard nothing. Shivering badly, Aliah forgot his need for privacy in his need to get to get warm. Stripping off his clothes, which caused a few ice crystals to fall, Aliah ripped into his bag and pulled out a shirt and pants before dropping them like they burned. Everything in his bag was beyond cold, ice crystals starting to form, and completely unwearable. Still in his undershirt and boxers Aliah ripped the bed warmer off and wrapped it around himself, before dragging it with him under the bed to hide. Keme, who'd watched Aliah as he vanished under the bed, couldn't understand the stare he'd been given moments before. His croaking never bothered the boy before. But then Keme felt the cold. Though chaos reigned outside, shouts and slams abounding, Keme could only shiver. Hopping to the floor, Keme dragged the discarded clothes outside the door's line of sight, and hid them in the desk space made by moving the chair from it's resting place. The cold was getting to him. Keme hopped over to the bed, though his muscles burned with the effort. Pressing his body to the floor, Keme crawled forward slowly as not to spook Aliah further before joining the boy in silence. Keme pressed his tiny body as close as possible, trying to give his trainer some warmth.
  17. Aliah Despite all the chaos Aliah could hear outside his door, he made no attempt to move. Only the laughter got a response which was for Aliah to shiver a bit harder. Since his door was wide open Aliah had little choice but to get up and ensure that his belongings were left alone. Moving stiffly Aliah got up and realized how thoroughly soaked his clothing was. "Good Water Pulse, Keme" Aliah praised sincerely as Keme look a bit nervous. The froakie jumped with joy. Unable to get the door to the hallway to shut Aliah was torn about changing. He didn't want to catch a cold but he didn't want to expose that to everyone either. Aliah stood silently thinking...
  18. Room 040: Aliah and Keme Aliah rocked back and forth despite being against the wall. "Safe, safe, safe, safesafesafesafe..." The young man repeated softly and rapidly, oblivious all around him. In his minds eye, Aliah was running, desperate to escape the unseen predator chasing him. Images of the people he'd met floated just out of reach. Safety was just out of reach. Aliah slammed into a wall with no visible way over. Frantically running his hands over the blockage Aliah could find no cracks. A serpentine movement registered in his peripheral vision before Aliah felt the burn of metal clang shut on his wrist. A sudden jerk was dragging him backwards across the now jagged ground, toward the ghostly figure that swirled amid the darkness. In the real world, Aliah had stopped moving altogether. Keme was croaking loudly, hopping panicked from Aliah to the bed and back. The froakie took in a deep breath and exhaled a torrent of pulsing water onto it's trainer. Keme knew it should never attack a human, especially it's friend and trainer but this was an emergency. Recalling the hour before departure, when Dr. Crossgem had stared solemnly at him. Aliah had gone to get some more pokesnax. The man told Keme that Aliah seemed more than fine but that may change upon entering the academy. As the water from it's mouth died to a trickle, Keme knew it was the only way to keep the promise. Keme would protect Aliah... even from himself. Soaked to the bone, Aliah coughed and sputtered as his gaze darted around the room. Finally coming back into focus on the froakie, Aliah stretched his arm's out. Keme jumped into them and felt the shivers fade into the hug. "Thank you."
  19. Bah! Made a mega edit so I was glad no one posted in the process.
  20. Aliah, Sim and Johnny "um... h-hi. Who are you guys? M-my name's Johnny." Aliah gave the newcomer a quick glance. A Fennekin yipped in greeting causing Keme to hop down and croak cheerfully in response. The Gastly hadn't moved much. "Aliah Crossgem, aka Shadow. My froakie is Keme. Room 040." Aliah stated, his voice growing hoarse from the sudden burst of use. Aliah turned away to cough and fingered the ring on his right hand. Though hidden from sight, scars on his arms burned with phantom pain. "I'm sorry... I need to leave. Goodbye." His limit reached Aliah turned on his heel and stalked away towards... somewhere else. Keme, though excited to make so many friends, hopped away after Aliah. The froakie turned and waved bye-bye to the group. His happiness was tempered with worry. After several large hops to catch up with Aliah, Keme perched on his shoulder again and tried to take the room key. But Aliah wasn't having it, as his destination was the dorm room. Sliding the key in the door and wrenching it open, Aliah stepped into the darkness and sighed with relief. Flipping the lights on, Aliah dumped his luggage on a bed and slid down the wall, shaking violently. The pain was spreading. Dragging his knees to his chest Aliah buried his head and tried to calm down. Unable to help when things got this bad, Keme sadly hopped onto the bed to keep watch for their roommate. Hopefully it would be some time before they arrived.
  21. Wow that took longer than I thought. But I'm back... and this RP moves nicely. I like.
  22. Aliah, Keme, Sim and Vanish "Sorry, I have to run" The girl left abruptly after that. A strange feeling rested in Aliah as he watched the girl retreat... what was it again? ""My name is Simon Dow, call me Sim. The abra I so rudely haven't mentioned yet is Vanish." A brief pause as Simon shook Aliah's hand. "Have you gotten to the registration yet Aliah?" Sim's question broke Aliah from his train of thought. Aliah's gaze seemed to be focused on something behind or beyond Simon. Keme's tongue whipped into Aliah's pocket, returning with the dorm key bearing 040 on it. "Eh... Yes. I have finished. They called me 'Shadow'..." Keme sense something he didn't like and reached up with a hand to rest on Aliah's cheek. A soft, almost reassuring croak echoed and Aliah finished his absent minded thought. "Back home that is... I was always... a 'shadow'." Aliah blinked several times before giving his head a shake. Like one trying to erase a thought. A frown flashed across the boy's face as he refocused. "I... you can call me 'Shadow' if you want... and it's nice to meet you." His hand quickly took the key from the froakie. It was at this point that Aliah noticed a Gastly nearby.
  23. Heading out for a bit. I hope my turning the three trainers into a triangle was okay. I figured it'd be easier to talk that way. And Aliah doesn't want people too close to him at the moment. But he still has manners... EDIT: Still waiting for Hiss to reply as well.
  24. Aliah, Keme, Sim, Vanish, Mie and Kagari "Hey are you alright I saw you fall over, cool froakie by the way." The new voice caused Aliah to attempt to find the source. A young man and an Abra gazed down at him with a look of concern. Keme had stopped making bubbles due to the new arrivals, and it's embarrassment at causing it's trainer to fall. Aliah stood up slowly, unwilling to turn his back to the girl but needing to respond to the boy. Giving himself a quick once-over Aliah politely backed up so the three now formed a triangle. He turned to the young man and his abra. "I'm fine... thanks." Aliah adjusted his coat and hat so his eyes weren't so hidden. "Keme is his name" Glancing down at the frog caused it to hop back onto his shoulder "and he's normally a bit more reserved." For my sake Aliah thought before adding "Guess he's excited about making new friends. Oh right. Sorry. I'm Aliah Crossgem." Aliah slowly extended a hand out to shake. Mentally he braced himself for the coming contact.
