  1. Alright, so this is sorta my cry for help. A few of you probably know that I'm a Robin main, since I've preached about him before. Captain hindsight speaking, it probably wasn't the best idea to jump into the smash universe for the first time ever with a character with a high learning curve. But I got semi decent at it and was able to hold my own against a friend who is at least top 200 nationally, (for like a minute) no joke. But the problem is, I just don't seem to be getting much better. Matches are getting harder, against people and CPUs and that bastard master edges. I'm getting my ass handed to me pretty often. I seem to be at a disadvantage against pretty much every character. So how do I get better, where do I start, what should I do?

TLDR: Smash is hard. Robin is hard. I'm a lost newb. Halp

  2. Donna shuffled along awkwardly. What was she supposed to say in a situation like this? The man didn't seem so relaxed either. He seemed to be trying to forget something. His sighs sounded kinda sad. Was he upset?

"E-excuse me. Is something bothering you?" She was panicking. Had she done something wrong? Had she upset him somehow? She found someone to trust, she couldn't ruin this already.

  3. He wants me to follow him..? Donna was unsure of what to do. She wanted help but... is it safe? He had his back turned to her, he already started moving. Quickly, she checked to make sure she had everything at the ready if he tried to harm her. But really, what reason would he have to do such a thing? Making up her mind, she ran after him.

Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

  4. "Oh! Uh...yes. Matthew, is it?" She looked at the blond man. He seemed friendly, but also a little intimidating. But almost everyone was intimidating to her. "I...uh. I'm Donna. I'm sorry for intruding." She fiddled around with her cloak.

Dammit Donna! This man could kill you, this is not the time to be intimidated! She thought to herself. Don't show weakness.

Calming herself down, Donna forced herself to look the man in the eyes. He didn't look hostile, but there was no telling what people were thinking. She would just have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

  5. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is somewhat sudden what's going to happen with the game are we going to have a long hiatus or is revolution done for good

No, Revolution is not done for good.

Finally got caught up with my schoolwork, what the hell did I miss.

Good question, I'm just as confused, though I think I have more information than you. I should probably check the doc sometime. Not sure how much I can say, but this is to the other guys who worked on the project. Going to also try an avoid ranting here. I feel as if the reason this all happened is pretty silly. If I'm piecing this together properly, it was a matter of distrust and lack of faith. I think it was baseless too. While I could start pointing fingers and accusing various people of various things, I have a limited amount of time, so I'll keep it concise. Before you start making claims and accusations, make sure you have the proof to back it up. Just because something doesn't go the way you want, doesn't mean you have to quit. You'll never get anywhere like that.

Last thing, why can't we use the plot line that we have?

Also, side note: Passive Aggression doesn't work with me. You know who you are.

  6. As for the lack of updates, I should have posted something about that sooner. The thing is, I wasn't able to.

I've had to temporarily step back from development and the community, which took effect about a week and a half ago. Someone else here alluded to me being sick. That's only partly true.

The case is more accurately that I've acquired an injury to both of my hands and wrists from gradual over use. Last week it rapidly escalated to the point that I was no longer able to type, text, or click a mouse. Unfortunately, the best treatment for such a condition, is to avoid using my hands as much as possible. Even then, recovery is likely to take a few months at minimum, and at worst the condition can become an unwelcome lifelong companion.

Fortunately, I was able to train the animation team before they went out for good, so the others will continue work while I cannot. We may not see direct progress for a while though, as it is unlikely that I will be able to sprite, animate, or map for some time. Even coding will be a stretch.

Ah. So like Carpal Tunnel or something? You should definitely stay off the keyboard for a while then. At least for a month. I think I speak for everyone when I say your health is more important than the game.

  7. Donna slowly got off the ground. The other two women had just... disappeared. They seemed to notice her at first, but then she sorta just blended into the shadows, forgotten. One thing kept ringing in her mind; what the redhead said.

"I would die to protect her."
Would she? Would she really? Would someone really be willing to face the dark, soulless beast that is death for the sake of another person? A plethora of new questions swarmed inside her head. Just who were they? What was their connection? Were they friend or foe? Why had she drawn her knife...Oh, right. The sword. She forgot about that.

"That's probably not the best way to make friends, stupid." She chastised herself. Standing up, Donna sheathed her sword and dusted herself off. Then she remembered, there were four people, and one of them was standing ten feet away from her, watching her every move. It was too late to run, and she had just sheathed her sword, so maybe he didn't consider her a threat? As soon as she gathered up the courage to walk towards him, he opened his mouth to speak.

  8. Hey, I'm a freshman too in high school! Actually going to boarding school, so I think it's a fairly similar experience to Uni. Fairly. Once again, I'm in no position to offer any advice, but I'll just tell you how I've prioritized things.

    1) Getting work done.

That's it. That's the entire list right there. Your number 1 priority is to study. Get work done. That's really the entire point of school; to learn. Unlike the other things on your list, this one determines your life. Literally. If you don't do well/ drop out, you probably won't get a very good job, and we know where that leads. So yeah, study hard, do well, that's your biggest priority.

    2) Eating/Bathing/Sleeping

'Sleep is for the weak.' Unless you pulled an all nighter. In that case; 'Sleeping for a week'.

Life necessities. Nuff said. Why do they come after studying? Because you'll probably be going without sleep/ optimal hygiene/ sufficient nourishment when the living hell that is "Exams" come around. Good luck.

    3) Socialize/ Extracurriculars

Studying is important, yes, but so is this. All work and no play will make you dull. I grouped these together because with one likely comes the other. Humans are social beings, so be social. Don't do anything you'll regret though. A good way to socialize is to join a club. You'll meet people with similar interests and make friends and such. This is pretty much the "Finding time to keep up with stuff" part too.Kill two birds with one stone. I'd prefer it if they were geese. Geese are evil. Fun times.

    4) Romantic stuff

Sorry! This is kinda the back burner imo. It's important. Very important. Just not right now... You shouldn't prioritize this over getting your work done, because that'll get you nowhere in life. I'm not saying you shouldn't have a relationship or look for one, just don't make it your main focus. It'll come in due time, don't rush/force it. And ignore the fact that this is coming from a 14 year old kid who's never been in a relationship but actually gives decent advice I hope. Literally don't know where any of this is coming from. So yeah, all in due time.

In short, each is important. Don't neglect anything important to you, but keep your priorities straight. You'll do fine! Good luck!

  9. Walls, walls, walls, more goddamn walls. That was all that Donna could see. She'd been walking for hours without any change of scenery. No sign of a single person. No sign of life. No sign of anything really. She was at a complete loss, there was nothing to do, no where to go. For all she knew, she could have just been walking in circles. She hated her dark and lonely existence, and this just seemed like a repeat of it. Kneeling, she slowly she drew out her husband's sword, a light, medium sized blade that resembled a katana. Slowly, she raised it up to her head, staring at her reflection.

"Maybe I should just end it. Be done with all of this."

She was familiar with the feeling of death. The empty existence. It would be much better than living with the pain she felt now. And there would be one less player for the others in the maze to worry about.

"No, I have to move forward. This is probably just the maze trying to mess with me."

She sighed and got back up on her feet. Rounding a corner, she stopped abruptly. People were here. How had she not heard them?

"I was one of the best gambler's around, but it came back to bite me. This coin was a gift from my daughter, who is dead..." A blonde, middle aged man said to a young girl. Donna held her breath.

"What should I do? Go up to them? Maybe if I get a little closer I can see what they're like. If they're armed or not." She thought. Blending into the shadows, she slowly crept up towards them. Closer, closer, and...

"Oof!" She yelled. A rock. She tripped over a rock. And now she was out in the open with nothing standing between her and the two other people. If they attacked, she was screwed. Wonderful.

    "Ummm...Hi?"
