  1. I soft reset a couple hundred times and these were the best starters I got. Still trying to get a Jangmo-o, but I'd like some opinions on the ones I've saved. I also looked at the location guide to help me choose which pokemon I will most likely put on my team, but would also like some second opinions on those. I've already decided on 3 members... 1. Shellos 2. Alolan Grimer 3. Ralts These are the other possible members that I need help deciding on, not including my starter... Rowlet Munchlax Grubbin Magnemite Skiddo Growlithe Litten Starter Egg (West Gearen Help Plaza Reward) Now for the starters, here are there stats...
  2. The location guide says Jackpot = Fire Starter Water =Fire Starter Fire = Grass Starter Grass = Water Starter
  3. Will the egg always be a starter or is there only a chance it will be a starter?
  4. So I'm getting ready to start my first playthrough and I noticed in the location guide that you can get another starter through the West Gearen Help Plaza based on which type you choose. How does that work? Is it predetermined in the save file like the mystery egg? I read in a different post that you input some code to choose which starter egg you get, is that true? Is it possible to soft reset to get the starter you want or the stats you want?
  5. Those animations look amazing, but could we get and update on the status thread? Last one as over a month ago.
  6. That's the thing, the team meteor grunt isn't showing up for me.
  7. I've been thinking of keeping Draining Kiss on my Gardevoir instead of learning Moonblast. Just one or two calm minds and I one hit almost anything and then heal fully. It allowed me to beat Kiki easily. What do you guys think?
  8. Yes I completed that, it wasn't there when I first fell in the cage either.
  9. Listen to what I said, it won't appear in the cage and the grunt wont appear in the warehouse. I already knew that.
  10. I really want to get a ditto so that I can get a magnemite with HP ice, but I need ditto to do it. Is the event still in the game or is mine glitched? I've already gotten the happiny and rescued the daycare couple, but the team meteor grunt isn't showing up in the warehouse. The location guide says that you can get ditto on 7th street, but that's too far into the game from me, so it would be really helpful is someone could help me figure out what the issue is.
  11. Oh is see what you're saying, just keep breeding until it's ice. I never really cared about the IVs as long as I got ice type, but that should work way better since I just bought an everstone and caught one that's already modest. I even have ability capsules so I can change it once I find one with ice type HP. I'm not at 7th street yet anyways so I couldn't do that if I wanted to.
  12. You can't breed a Magnemite cause it's genderless, so what EXACTLY do I need to do to get a Magnemite with HP ice? I have one thats modest with sturdy, but it has a poison type HP. It's IV's are 31 Hp, 22 Att, 20 Def, 20 SpAtt, 14 SpDef, and 23 Sp. What items do I need and what do I need to have to make it ice type?
  13. So is there a way Scrafty can learn Ice Punch and Dragon Dance? And I guess I'll just teach it Ariel Ace, Crunch, or Brick Break then-_- How do I use those items to make it's Hidden Power become ice type?
  14. I did not know that only the male can pass on moves in episode 12, I thought the breeding mechanics were the same as in Black and White where the female can pass on any egg or tm moves it learns. I used to breed stuff with multiple egg moves all the time that way. Are you absolutely sure the mechanics aren't the same? If they are different. I could breed a Charizard with earthquake instead of rock slide, which will actually cover two weaknesses. The breed chain is rather long though, It's Wooper> Arbok> Altaria> Charizard. I'm still working on getting a modest Magnemite with HP Ice; there's literally a 4% chance that it will be modest and a 5% that that modest one will have an ice type HP. Overall I only have a 0.22% chance of finding the one I want, and that's not even including the ability, but I have ability capsules so it doesn't matter. Quick question though, is there a move tutor that can teach my Scrafty HP Ice?
  15. The second moves on each pokemon are alternative moves in the case where I can't learn that first move yet. For example, since Charizard can't learn fly right away, I wrote dragon claw as an alternative while I'm waiting for fly. Surf is an alternative because I need surf, but if I didn't need surf I'd use scald. I agree with you about changing Gogoat's EVs, but grass pelt makes it tank, I used it in my first run, and in the case where sapper would be useful, they're most likely not going to use non grass moves. I do have Gyarados in rotation, but he's not EV trained and doesn't have a good nature. I'll probably add Krookodile into the mix and one more; either Staraptor, Galvantula, Rotom, Gengar, or Cofagrigus. I'm thinking a ghost type would be the best choice, but I don't know which I should pick. If I do end up rotating later in the game I may breed a Gyarados with a better nature and EV train it, same with the other two. I've decided to go with High Jump Kick since the wide lens will lower the risk of missing. I see what your saying about toxic spikes, but its helped me heal through some tough battles. It is true that it's not that useful cause I only use it in boss, gym, or rival battles, so there are some trade offs. I think I'll try thunderbolt and see how it goes. I switched Wooper with Stunfisk to shorten the breeding chain. I can breed Camerupt with Charizard to learn rock slide, I've already got it in my PC, but I'm still waiting on finding a Swablu, which I can't get until Aventurine Woods. I don't need a single pokemon to know both moves, I can just breed twice. Quick question though, is it "Aventurine Woods" or "Adventurine Woods" and where is it on my map. People keep making references to both of these and it's been confusing the hell out of me cause I can't find it on the map and I don't remember it from my first run. Also, which EV should I train on Magnezone, Hp or SpDef? Thanks for the help and I appreciate the enthusiasm Etesian.
  16. I wanted to showcase my team to get some opinions on the stats I choose. I'm not 100% on all of them so I would really love some other opinions on what I could do better to help me make final decisions. Right now I'm working on getting a modest Magnemite that has an ice type hidden power, then I'm going to EV train it. I don't exactly know if the EV's I have below is good or not though. I'm also having trouble deciding whether I want drain punch or high jump kick on my Scrafty since in another post, people told me to go with drain punch because it heals and doesn't have recoil if it misses. But also in that post someone pointed out to me that I should either go for max damage or bulky, which if I went bulky they said I should switch dragon dance for bulk up. I think I've decided that I'm going for max damage, but I'm still unsure of which is better. The rest of my team I'm pretty sure about, but I just realized that most of my team are sweeper sets except for my Gogoat. So should I change one of them to add some more bulk to my team, or is this good. If I did change one of them to bulky it would be Scrafty. Now here's my team, and at the bottom I just added in the breeding chains I have to go through to learn some of the moves that I want. Charizard (Blaze) (Adamant) (252 Att/252 Sp/4 Hp) -Flare Blitz -Fly/Dragon Claw -Rock Slide -Dragon Dance Gardivoir (Telepathy/Synchronize) (Modest) (252 SpAtt/252 Sp/4 SpDef) -Psychic -MoonBlast -Thunderbolt -Calm Mind Scrafty (Moxie) (Adamant) (252 Att/252 Sp/4 Hp) -Drain Punch/High Jump Kick -Crunch -Ice Punch -Dragon Dance Magnezone (Sturdy) (Modest) (252 SpAtt/(252 Hp/SpDef)/(4 SpDef/Hp)) -Discharge -Flash Cannon -Hidden Power (Ice)/Barrier -Thunder Wave GoGoat (Grass Pelt) (Impish) (252 Hp/252 Def/4 Att) -Horn Leach/Leaf Blade -Earthquake -Rock Slide/Brick Break -Bulk Up Dragalge (Adaptability) (Modest/Clam) (252 SpDef/252 SpAtt/4 Hp) -Sludge Wave/Sludge Bomb -Dragon Pulse -Scald/Surf -Toxic Spikes Dragon Dance- Altaria> Charizard/Scrafty Thunderbolt- Eelektic> Gardevoir Scald- Panpour> Wooper> Skrelp Ice Punch- Meditite> Mienfoo> Scrafty Drain Punch- Mienfoo> Scrafty Rock Slide- Camerupt> Charizard/Gogoat
  17. Thanks so much, you were right, it was the browser. Had no problem using google chrome, I had been using internet explorer cause that's what I had when I got my computer.
  18. It's not an image. I'm trying to copy simple text and I can't even copy and paste things already written in the post. For example, I want to copy this line of text... "Line of Text" to here... "__________" I can't do that. I can't even copy and paste text from a word document, which there is even a dedicated button on the forum post for that.
  19. Nope doesn't work, even though I allow access the webpage to access my clipboard
  20. Is anyone else having trouble copying and pasting on the forum? I can't do anything. I want to showcase my team in a post so I could get some help improving it, but it won't let me paste it in the post. I've tried those special buttons on the post for copying and pasting, but none of them work. I don't want to have to type my entire team plan out just to get some advice.
  21. I still think it could use a boost in it's Hp though since I'm giving it drain punch, which would make it more bulky. But I guess boosting it's defense and special defense would have about the same effect.
  22. I'm having trouble deciding what ability, nature, and EV's I want for my Scrafty. Here are the moves it's going to know. -Drain Punch -Crunch -Ice Punch -Dragon Dance Right now I'm thinking of giving it 252 Hp, 252 Sp, and 4 Att with an Adamant nature and either Moxie or Intimidate as it's ability. But I'm just not sure if that's a good set. I was also thinking about making it Impish and giving it 252 Def, 252 Hp, and 4 Att with Intimidate, that way it would be a strong defensive wall. I could still use some help on this though.
  23. I can agree with you on most of those, like your right on the healing moves, but I don't know about charizard, magnezone, and dragalge. I said Thunder and Thunderbolt for Magnezone because they are alternative moves that could potentially be added to the game, which is why Discharge was first. Also I don't know how to IV breed to get the HP Ice, and barrier and thunder wave are extremely useful moves. I've used Magnezone before in my first run during episode 12, and barrier was an amazing defensive wall move, although HP Ice and thunder wave would be amazing moves to have. As for Charizard, I was going for classic Charizard Y, incase they ever add in the mega stone. I saw they added in a key to mega evolve. Also, solar power doesn't need a set up because it sometimes is naturally sunny. I guess it makes sense to go physical charizard If I add fly to it, which in that case I would choose blaze, and I didn't realize that solarbeam wasn't in the game. One more thing that I don't agree with is getting rid of toxic spikes, it's such a useful move at gyms and in big fights, and surf is a necessary move, but otherwise I would use scald instead of hydro pump. Shadow ball is a good coverage move for dragalge, but I would rather it have toxic spikes. Only thing is I would have to breed a skorupi and an omanyte to breed a skrelp with toxic spikes. Quick question though, can you breed tm moves, like thunderbolt to Gardevoir and scald to Dragalge? Also, would it make more sense for Scrafty to be defensive or specially defensive? And I'm not quite sure what nature and EV's I should do for Magnezone or how to IV breed it to get HP Ice. Here's the list of pokemon I would need to breed to learn the moves I want. Dragon Dance- Altaria> Charizard/Scrafty Thunderbolt- Eelektic> Gardevoir Scald- Panpour> Wooper> Skrelp Ice Punch- Meditite> Mienfoo> Scrafty Drain Punch- Mienfoo> Scrafty Rock Slide- Camerupt> Charizard Toxic Spikes- Skoropi> Omanyte> Skrelp
  24. Idk, maybe. This is my team, some of the potential moves that I might want do require breeding, but I don't mind reEV training later in the game if I need to. I will defiantly plan ahead Dragalge and Scrafty, but Charizard and Gardivoir I don't think I really need to breed so I can just go ahead and EV train them. Charizard (Solar Power)(Modest)(252 SpAtt/252 Sp/4 Hp) -Heat Wave/Flamethrower/Fire Blast -Air Slash -Solarbeam/Dragon Pulse -Roost Gardivoir (Telepathy/Synchronize)(Modest)(252 SpAtt/252 Sp/4 SpDef) -Psychic -MoonBlast -Thunderbolt/Wish -Calm Mind/Hypnosis/Confuse Ray Scrafty (Shed Skin/Intimidate)(Adamant/Jolly/Gentle)(4 Att/(252 Hp/Sp)/252 SpDef) -Hi Jump Kick/Drain Punch -Crunch -Ice Punch/Fake Out/Poison Jab/Rock Slide) -Dragon Dance Magnezone (Sturdy)(Bold/Modest)(252 Def/(252 Hp/SpAtt)/(4 SpAtt/Hp)) -Discharge/Thunderbolt/Thunder -Flash Cannon -Tri Attack/Magnet Rise -Barrier GoGoat (Grass Pelt)(Adamant/Impish)(252 Hp/252 Def/4 Att) -Leaf Blade/Horn Leach -Earthquake -Milk Drink -Bulk Up Dragalge (Adaptability)(Modest/Clam)(252 SpDef/(252 SpAtt/Hp)/(4 Hp/SpAtt)) -Sludge Bomb/Sludge Wave -Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor -Hydro Pump/Surf -Toxic Spikes
  25. I was wondering if there was somewhere I could buy common candies cause I'm at the second gym and I want to EV train my starter before I waste too many EV points. I feel like I remember seeing somewhere you could buy common candies. Right now I have 1 and my starter is level 24, so I can EV train about 25-50 points more before I reach the level cap.
