  1. I just posted the team I used to beat him (although sylveon and Yanmega did almost all of the work in that fight)
  2. Don't need any advise on replacing, I just felt like sharing the team that allowed me to beat the current release Cecil the Serperior leaf storm giga drain leaf blade leech seed the only issues I have with him is that a) dragon pulse isn't available and he has a 0 IV in special attack. Otherwise I love him, and Snivy is always my starter. Wish the Darmanitan Flare Blitz Fire Punch Superpower headbutt It's Darmanitan. I don't think I need to comment Hector the Diggersby Strength flail earthquake hammer arm for the longest time I was stuck with him having a quiet nature, which sucked. but still, he has been underwhelming; Darm is a better brute force pokemon. Bugsinton the Escavalier Rock Smash X-Scissor Iron Head swords dance he kicked the asses of Serra, Noel, Radamus, and Luna. I love him. Brady the Yanmega Bug Buzz Air Slash ancient power u-turn he was alright, nothing special, but wasn't hard or long to grind up to usefulness (did use one heart scale to get a special attacking STAB move though) Sweet Pea the Sylveon moonblast draining kiss shadow ball light screen again nothing that special, although she was hard to get ahold of then grind up. but she did put in a clutch performance against Samson, so that was nice. One overall comment is that I really don't like to grind for that long, as I find it boring. So most of the Pokemon I train up are either traded or on a faster leveling track to reduce grinding times. (otherwise Diggersby and Yanmega likely wouldn't be on the team). If you are wondering how I personally got past a few leaders, go ahead and ask, because barring the last 4 gyms, my team was changing almost constantly.
  3. if you want a patch-work pokemon, that Mareep isn't that bad. It'll be able to carry its weight for awhile. If you're into shell smashers, then Barbicle is coming up soon. Also, Aya is generally a nightmare for most people, so I recomend getting a water absorb quagsire when their available. Quaggy can take a suprizing amount of abuse in that fight and normally is productive for me.Lastly, when they're available a flame body macargo could offer some patchwork utility (don't expect much though)
  4. One way I did to make that fight way easier was to catch a water absorb Quaggy, you'll only need it up to about lvl 40, and it'll make the whole fight easier. with Yawn, you can make one of her pokes useless for a few turns, you also will be able to spam EQs, but then again, most of your team won't like that... (yeah, don't use noibat, this is the gym it'll be the least useful until the fairy one gets released)
  5. Metagross would like to come and visit for a bit and talk to you guys about wonderful set known as Dual Screens: Metagross holding light clay Adamant Nature 252 Att 252 HP 4 Def/Spe Reflect Light Screen Zen Headbutt Meteor Mash
  6. Well, sorry, but my favorites would be Metagross as my #1, then with Serperior, Gardevoir, Salamence, Garchomp, and Minun would be my favorites after Metaboss. I'm fairly Meh about those two.
  7. actually, my 3 favorite right now are Metagross, Salamence, and Gardevoir. Mence isn't #1 right now, but he's tied for #2
  8. oh well, I guess I can still crush hopes and dreams of poor challengers on the ladder, though don't mistake my long-windedness and skill at grammar and the like as sanity. If you know ANYTHING about the NFL, the moment you saw the my favorite team is the Jags.... you would not has made that comment
  9. Hello all, I've been playing Pokemon for Arceus knows how long now, with Crystal as my first game. I started playing on Smogon's ladder on and off around 4th gen, and I've found I'm not bad for a competitive player, against my friends... well I highly doubt I'm as good as my record against them. I found this site because of the game, which I think is fantastic, and I heard that there is a league of sorts here to challenge so.... I seek to accept that challenge (I might be able to air my battles on Twitch.tv as well if anyone is interested). Outside of Pokemon, my favorite games would be Bravely Default, the Elder Scrolls Series (specifically Morrowind and Skyrim), as well as the Fire Emblem series. I also love to play ball against my friends... funny story, last October I was playing kickball at my school, Arizona State University, and at one point I ended up hyper-extending my knee. Thinking that the injury would simply resolve itself, I waited to get it checked out, until when I came home in January. I got an MRI, then I heard for the doc that I tore my minuscus, so I decided to wait until after second semester to get surgery to repair it. I didn't find out until may that what really happened is that I tore my ACL.... so I can't play street ball until next May. I also follow sports teams closer than most people that would play Pokemon, and my favorite teams would include the Suns (NBA), the Blues (NHL), the Cardinals (MLB), the Rams (NFL), and the Jags (NFL), with my favorite as the Jags. (I suppose some of you can guess my hometown as well) So yeah, I'm Metaboss84. Bonus to anyone who can guess whats with the 84, because there's a reason it's there.
