  1. Civilized? You should be glad that I haven't called anyone names, like the average League of Legends player would. I have not claimed any personal attacks nor performed any type of hatred and discrimination. Actually, what it seems like to me is that you guys are circlejerking against me for not being satisfied with League balance. I mean just look at that strawman. When we look further into this, this doesn't seem like an argument at all. There can't be evidence proving X is better as this is entirely opinion based, and it's pretty clear that none of us are going to change our minds anyways. So let's just leave this as it is before this escalates even further.
  2. Regarding me being ridiculously biased, I stick to facts and logic, and not just go for a whine about X class circlejerk. Every class has or had a problem, such as assassins being forced to be way too overpowered or way too underpowered, or tanks being unkillable, bruisers mowing down everything, adcs dictating which team wins, resourceless being able to spam skills without any sort of management, etc. At least in Dota, everything is consistent, every class has the same opportunity as the other. There's no resourceless cancer, everyone uses the same resources, mana costs are universal(aka there's no sion level use of mana and then another champ using the mana costs of jax). If League was consistent with their mechanics and everything, and items were not just stat sticks(although that's changing a little bit soon, I already see new items being introduced but still), if we had more than one meta to follow. I'm surely League would be much better. If every champ at least had some use, whether it be in competitive or casual, then at least you could say it's good design. I mean look at Leblanc(not that good of an example but still), low winrate in solo Q, high win rate in LCS, it at least has some uniqueness with her play style and such and such. If we had more of that and not just downright cases of Braum, Kassadin, Vi, Elise, and Urgot, then maybe, just maybe, I'll be satisfied with League balance. That being said though, I'm not saying Dota must be better in every way, I could point you out the faults of Dota as well. I'm not saying that my words are on the same level of God either. What I'm saying is that at least Dota has this and this and we should learn from it and absorb the best ideas and apply to league instead of just shunning down Dota as an inferior game because "hurr durr it's not balanced". If you don't believe what I say, that's fine, but please don't spread lies and propaganda.
  3. Then we realize that Dota 2 currently doesn't have the option to seperate casual play with ranked play. You cannot judge balance accurately if you mix it with casual play, especially if all you're doing is comparing win rates. At least everyone in Dota has existent play rates though, which the same can't be said for League. If they were truly bad and underpowered, no one would play them in any queue.(ex: urgot, skarner, etc)
  4. "Different fucking games" What? It's like we have no historical knowledge whatsoever. Dota is a MOBA. League is a MOBA. The concept is the exact same. League's creators came after creating Dota to try something "new". And dynamic isn't necessarily better. In fact, in League's case, it has no longer been dynamic for the entirety of season 4. Patches once a month, with miniscule changes that barely shift the meta if at all. Constant FOTMS being whined about, vast discrepancy between ranged and melee, terrible mechanics never fixed, anyone that touches the holy grail of bottom lane is immediately hit with nerfs, extremely small choice of items. Those item changes you said? Well they either get used until nerfed, or they overshadow every other option which really only makes you have one build choice, which is not variety at all. Regarding new champs? Tell me the last champ that hasn't been overly useless or overly overpowered. If you truly believe that is balance, then none of you should even begin to talk shit about Dota. You guys should be consistent with your beliefs, because clearly the way you guys want things aligns with the ridiculous myths you have about Dota. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_authority
  5. if dota can do it, why can't league do it? truth is, dota balance team actually knows wtf they're doing and aren't simply on a fotm cycling spree when you keep on nerfing everything and leaving terrible mechanics alone, it just repeats itself until everyone ends up with 1 hp 1 everything so saying that because there are way too many champs to balance is just a stupid cop out get competent people on the balance team and see how much better the balance will be having silver players in charge of balance is sickening
  6. diggersby, probopass, luvdisc, *insert rehashed moth* seriously, when you know you made me to start to dislike something let alone hate, you know you fucked up big time. I look at diggersby and I'm like, you literally ruined the cute nature of rabbits. Why is he dirty like a pig? Looks like someone smothered shit all over his ears which look like hands and his body. When i first heard about someone talking about probopass being ugly online, at that time I was still going through my first playthrough of Diamond and didn't know what he looked like. So when I finally found a picture of probopass, couple of facepalms followed after. What are those, pubes, or nose hair? I can't tell because no one ever clarifies it but I think I'll lean toward the latter. Definitely what put me off this guy. Luvdisc? What kind of name was that was what the first thing in my mind was when I saw it. It doesn't even look like a disc let alone anything "lovely". Then I saw it's stats and movepool and my god were they horrible. Even worse than Delibird. Few years later and I see alomomola and I'm like, cool, useless pokemon finally get's an evolution. But then I see the bulbapedia page and it says "It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon." And I'm like, wow, serious, you had the chance and you wasted it it. And then I see the rehashed moths being repeated almost every generation, and I'm like, you had one job Nintendo to not reuse the same stupid design and you even failed that. I'm not even going to get to the part of sloppy evolutions like dugtrio, as they are not even worth my time. Thankfully, the good vastly outnumbers the bad, so even though there may be some terrible pokemon almost no one likes, as a whole, Pokemon is still a good game.
  7. Ok so apparently I just realized that you can get ducklett, got the egg earlier and didn't know what was in it until now. Should I keep it all the way or just use him for the gym battle?
  8. Well, water is the most common type in the game after all, so it's only natural that there are a lot of choices that can make up for the weaknesses. If I can steer myself away from the obviously overpowered water types, I think it'll be equally as challenging as other monotypes. Well before I even get myself concerned with that, I can't even get past Fern even with Castform right now so brb when I finally come up with something good.
  9. Well either it's a glitch or I'm just blind but I can't find any Lotad even though it's raining here. Damn, if I had known that someone had done it before me, I probably would've thought twice about it. It's too late now though, but I'll be sure to steer clear from the pokemon he uses just so it doesn't look and feel like I'm copying him. Is that a new pokemon?
  10. I didn't want to use Gyarados as I felt I would just be cheating if I used him. Oh and I'll look into using Azumarill if possible. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm aware of the first two, but I didn't get them because that would be way too many pure water types on my team and I really wanted some variety in my team. The last 2, yes you can get surskit, but you can't get Lotad until way later. Lotad is in the room in Coral Ward where you ride the ship to Apophyll Beach, which is locked until way after the 2nd gym. Regarding Surskit, it evolves into a Bug Flying Type so that's definitely not going to be on my checklist. Although, thanks for the suggestions, I'll consider them when the time comes. Yeah, my team is going to revolve around Rain Dance, my starter already uses Rain Dish which will further assert his bulkiness, so it'll be a good idea to use a couple more pokemon that have rain reliant abilities.
  11. One day I was like holy shit I'm bored, hey I wanna do a rock monotype, but then I realized there were no rock types early game, so I switched from rock monotype to water monotype for the extra challenge. Self Made Rules: 1) Pokemon used in trainer battles has to be a water type at some point in the evolutionary line, Mega Evolutions(if there is any) and any forms also count, and you cannot hold back on evolving said pokemon when the time comes for the type advantage 2) Only 1 pokemon limited to using Rain Dance 3) Any Pokemon you use that does not abide by rule 1 cannot be used as death fodder, any use of illegal pokemon results in a lost battle 4) No items during battle except use of pokeballs 5) No more than 1 Mega capable pokemon on your team 6) Gyarados is banned ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Log: (6/1/14) I chose Squirtle for my team as he was tanky, is the only water starter that can mega evolve, and I just really like turtles. I took a dump on the first few trainers and went straight for the hidden reservoir, as the only thing that's ever gonna allow me to even get pass the first gym which I remind you is filled with annoying electric types is Goldeen with Lightningrod. I took my squirtle and gave it as much fighting experience as possible before totally annihilating Julia with Goldeen. Let me tell you, all they did was repeatedly used electric moves on Goldeen while I just laughed away with spamming Horn Attack. Oh of course, before all that, Squirtle evolved into Wartotle and Wartotle was level 19 with Goldeen being level 16 before the gym. After making her look like a complete joke, Goldeen was level 19 and I went straight for the Park. Got to the park, went back to get the Cut TM and caught me a Bidoof. So now, I went into the forest thing or whatever, and guess what happened. That Tangrowth embarassed the hell out of me. So I had to train both of my pokemon a little bit until they were level 25 and I did something I really wished I could have avoided, which was soft resetting for hax. I lead with my Goldeen to try to Confuse hax with Supersonic while spamming Peck, and after a couple hours of resets I finally made it with Tangrowth somehow using Thundershock instead of Mega Drain at his last slither of health and I was like yayyyyyyyyyy. So now, I look up what other "viable" water types are available so I can somewhat prepare for the 2nd gym in an attempt to not get annihilated and the only option was Psyduck. Yes, a stupid Psyduck, so I'm like man, I definitely do not want to use this guy. even if I use Cloud Nine, he's just going to get me killed by their grass type moves. Then I remembered, oh yeah, rule 1 states that you can use any pokemon as long as it eventually becomes a water type through a form or evolution, so I went back and found out now Castform is available, so now I'm currently grinding up a Furret to trade for a Castform. (6/4/14) After grinding up for the castform, i went to face fern and god he was useless. At this time, I was like, fuck it, I'm going to get a moddy bibarel and hax my way out of this gym. But then the egg I got while farming for the castform hatched into a ducklett, and I was like, oh, great, let me train him up and see how it goes. I trained it up to level 20 before dumping on Fern after a couple of haxs. Then I went to face Flobot and shit hit the fan. Her team kept trashing my team and left my Wartotle to die to her Cradily alone. So I had to train my Ducklett to level 23, and this time, I lead with Castform, spamming Powder Snow to kill Cacnea. Then I used my ducklett with aerial ace to kill maractus, breloom, and grotle. Needless to say, I managed to have my whole team survive to Cradily. I sent out my Castform, spammed Powder Snow, and then I was like fuck she's going to kill me. Guess what happened. I Powder Snow'd her cradily for the last time and got her to froze and that's when I knew it was over. Flobot was finally defeated.

    Trick Room

Okay so I looked over my team for my second run and turns out the speed of my pokemon are pretty low, so hey, why not try running a trick room team. So where do I find the TM for trick room? And does it actually work?
  13. Well, people still manage to find a way to delude themselves from the truth and cherry pick what they want to believe regardless so even if their creator allowed and did all those bad things, some people would still find an excuse to give their life to the Lord and ignore all the bad parts when it becomes inconvenient. Just look at any major religion we currently have in the world right now and you'll see what I'm talking about.
  14. I think I have a few possible explanations for that 1) Arceus was never actually benevolent and had satanic motives 2) Arceus simply didn't give a shit about what happened in the world and the destruction of Reborn was caused by another God 3) The real Arceus is dead and the Arceus that allowed this to happen/caused it to happen is an imposter 4) Arceus was a false God, delusions made into reality and the real God is still yet to be seen 5) There is no actual "God" in Reborn, I mean there's a reason why it's called a belief, they could have thought that Arceus was the creator but he really could be just the same as every other Legendary In Sinnoh, the belief in Arceus was traditionally accepted as the norm. However, in Reborn, now that the Rebornians have supposedly lost their faith(or never had any), by definition it is a cult. Even if it was a religion before, it is now a cult as it is not socially accepted. It is possible that they did have immigrants from Sinnoh to Reborn and that when they first introduced the idea of Arceus being a deity, they were labeled as a crazy ass cult but eventually they indoctrinated everyone to believe that he is the original creator. Or it is also possible of it being vice versa or that they developed the belief themselves(as a cult of course) Regarding your last paragraph, in history, religion fluorished during the dark ages as it gave people something to cling on as hope, and during the dark ages there was no established official defense system(aka no big ass giant militaries, not even walls bordering off territory) and no one gave a shit about education or arts or science and all the other good things that a normal society should have. Religion, as we know, unites the people under a general belief and unity is what brought people out of the dark ages. So what Reborn needs right now is an established religion, not just simply looking for food and shelter. I mean judging by how things are going in Reborn, everyone is scared, everyone needs reliable protection, mobs are out of control more than ever, so what better way than to actually reintroduce religion to get people in line and unite so they can fight back against Team Meteor instead of relying you, the protoganist to 1vTeamMeteor all day.
