Trivia Time: Magikarp and Gyarados are tied for the lowest leveled Pokemon to be encountered, as well as being tied with Gyarados as the highest leveled Pokemon encountered in the wild. In Platinum, MAgikapr can be found in the Resort Area at levels 1-100, while in Black2 and White2 it can be found in the Nature Preserve at the same levels (both require Super Rods). Magikarp also takes the shortest amount of time to hatch, with six Egg Cycles.
