Feeling bad doesn't have to equal feeling racist. If you feel bad about not liking stuff japan makes, try to like it. If you just don't like it then you'll have to stop feeling bad about it, is not your falt or the japanese's, so don't worry, nobody can like everything.

Some of my friends had a similar opinion about anime, so we made a deal: I would play LoL with them if they watched some anime, and if they still didn't like it at all, then I would keep playing.

The result? They are now some of the biggest otakus I've ever met IRL.

Moral of the story: Don't close your mind to something you dislike, you might end up liking it.
