  1. Ev training seems much more important only in situations like vs actual players. .... oh god, unless Ame starts giving the gym leaders max ev pokemans..... noooo!!! my take on it, is that you just put a litle work into it as you level your pokemon up, and you will get a decent enough benifit. you wont have the perfect 255 255 3 ev build, but you will still get usefull gains. So unless you left a pokemon with the daycare for 50 levels, or forcefed them steroid candy, think of it as a side advantage that can help. but wont make or break your team by itself.
  2. I'm pretty sure Nckaboo made a video that shows the right path. Other than that, and what Yoshi said, it takes lots of looping, and you go through almost every path a tree disappears from.
  3. I predict a horrific night club fire, killing several people and pokemon trapped inside, that we then go and ghostbust a sudden surge of super creepy, yamask. In a total morally disturbing series of pokemon fights. Or its the next place on the Team Lets Blow Everything Up master plan. For who will stay in the wretched city of reborn when there is NO WHERE TO DANCE?!?!?!?!
  4. Question about the pikachu house. Do you need to use a honey on a tree to get there in the first place? I used the only 1 I had sofar on what im guessing is a path to the joltik. but cant find any more yet, and my irst combee i found ended up havnig hustle. So im gonna go smash my head into trees and hope to piss off some bees till i get this figured out.
  5. Just wondering what people were up to while we wait for 11 to finish. I've been messing around with a pickup team, and working to Level up some useful pokemon to be able to swap into the main team as needed. My other question is what level you left your main team fighters at, did you bring all 6 up to level 65? I decided to leave mine mostly around 60, and some of the hard hitters are up to 62-3 after helping level others. I enjoy a bit of a challenge in my gym fights, and didn't want to blow through ep 11 with an entire team full of max level sweepers the second it came out. So what else have people been up to?

Is there any ingame use for the bue/red/yellow/green shards? I Thought I read something about them being used to buy new elemental move types in the real games. any value in reborn?
  7. I ended up too lazy to fully level up the spirtomb. Pain to level the GHOST pokemon off the NORMAL tauros and buffalo.. So I ended up using a 1 level 50 spiritomb, my gardevior to nuke through his hyper potions, and then moxie dragon dance garidos to sweep the rest. Looks like I'm done till ep 11. just going to level up 6 or so others to the 60ish level to be ready to swap in as needed, and then put some work into my pickup team. mavbe if i get reeeeeeeealy bored look into ev training.
  8. I have a guilty confession to make, for the most part I dont really like the shinies I've been coming across. Cause yeah... that shiny belsprout sure is SUPER AWESOME!... But there have been occasions where I like the shiny but have no patience or ability to farm one out. So I miiiiiiight have gone into the sprite image file and swapped some normal and shiny sprite image numbers....
  9. Hmm seems spirtomb learns sucker punch at 31... WAHAHAHAHA!!
  10. Problem Solved. Now to just level them up a bit to the 55ish range...
  11. Ah, I made it to the room with the gear, but I thought I explored it and I didnt find anything there. I will have to go back and look around more. Edit: Went back and still nothing, I guess I need to head somewhere else first and see someone Gardevior get stolen.
  12. I just got to route 1 for the first time and beat fern, made it to the great gates. Do we manage to get those open? or are we doomed to long run arounds to get back into the city?
  13. Speaking of spoilers, I'm pretty sure I've got the Byxbsion Wasteland figured out.
  14. Hmm, I know you dont like to hand out specific info all the time. So just generic mechanic question. Is the item lists still in a similar probability listing based off levels like the item charts here, http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pickup_%28Ability%29? Or have you made your own randomness with those listed items we will need to figure out ourselves?
  15. Ah, I didnt realize at first that 10.5 swapped this back to a singles battle. I was going to add that anyone trying to level ire pokemon up fast for this could try grinding in tanzan cove. tons of bug and grass pokemon to swat wth fire moves. Im not sure on what they give for ev's, but a level 19 soloing a level 35 oddish sure is some sweet xp.
  16. So I've been levling some pokemon to prepare for Sierra, and after having them evolve on me I had a thought I will never be able to get rid of now. So reborn has this spinny sprite visual of your pokeon turning from one form to the next, and now I cant get the visual of evolutions actually happening like this out of my head as well. Your growlthie is evolving! The pokemon just freezes, starts glowing, and starts whrling about like some kind of super derpy spinning top. "Whuurrrgle bluurgh blaaaaahg shhhsssstt," dizzily falls over and the universe has pooped out your new Arcantite. Much majestic, very wow. Annnnnd back to the grind I go.
  17. Was there a fix added for the fail glich people are getting? or shall we check back in the morn?
  18. I ended up getting myself an adamant, moxie garydos for now. That took way too many game reloads for the right combo to come out. He;s up to level 30 now, and that only took an hour or two. I think I'll keep with the dragon type for a while. It has been interesting getting back into pokemon knowledge, since I havent played since I beat silver when it came out. Reborn feels like a enjoyable challenge, where you have to plan your team rather than the easy smash through I found the offical games.
  19. So here is my current team. Blaziken: 40 Blaze kick, ember, bulk up, sand attack Gardevoir: 37 magical leaf, clm mind, confusion (psysic inc), shadow ball Donphan: 40 Assrurance, take down, rollout, slam Shuppet:34 sucker punch, will o wisp, hex, shadowball (recent addition/leveling pokemon) Crobat:42 (murdering machine) acrobatics, confuse ray, poison fang, air cutter Loudred:33 Bite, uproar, rock smash, stomp So I've been trying to get them to level up uniformly, but having the others sweep gym leader fights has leveld them faster than the rest. Im currently at the appolly academy, and just got told to climb a volcano. Loudred is infurating me, I was told he was a good team member becuse of his normal STAB bonus in early game, and brought him back because i needed a rocksmash holder. But leveling him is an absolute pain. I never fight anything that normal moves are useful against, and he just gets 1 shot KO'd by anything even a 1 or 2 level gap. So im looking for advice on a replacement, particularly one that Can afford to carry rocksmash, without resorting to a useless HM slave.
  20. I wanted to ask if there was a ballpark time for 10.5's release? I'm relativly new here to reborn, and have no clue how quickly the updates and new episodes come out. Was just wondering if it was something to expect within a month or two, or like 6-8 months, or just "when its done." I've been enjoying the game a lot sofar and been happily suprised with how much work was put into making this game a challenge. I look foreward to new things reguardless.
  21. (ಠ_ಠ) ....... Well, good to know now after managing to catch 13 non pickup meowths before finding the panphy grass. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
  22. So I put together a full 6 pokemon pickup team and had some question about if the mechanics are changed in reborn. The pokemon wiki said that the pickup ability gives a pokemon a 10% chance to create an item after each battle you kill a pokemon in (even when that pokemon does not fight). Now with a team of 6 pickup pokemon, and a several years old basic statistics class says, 10% chance to happen means 90% chance to not happen, and with 6 pokemon, each with 10% probability. That means 0.90 (chance not to pickup an item) ^ 6 (number of times theres a chance of pickup or not) = 0.5314 (combined chance of all 6 not picking up). Now take 1 minus that to get 0.4685 or 46.86% chance to pickup atleast 1 item between the 6 pokemon per battle. Hopfully that makes sence and my probability math is right and easy to follow. Now I've faced 15ish wild pokemon fights and recived no items, which doesn't seem to follow what should be a almost 50% per fight for 1 item. So my first question was if Iwas missing some mechanic, or something else I didnt undestand was happrning? My other question was that some people mentioned using a "speed hack" program when farming with their pickup teams. I was wondering what exactly this speeds up to be useful for farming? And also that people have mentioned using some kind of hack related program to change the time for weather related reasons, and that this has broken their game file in some glichy ways. Would there be a danger of this in using the speed hack method for pickup farming? So.. Hi, I'm new, Uprox here, and asking questions!
