You know, it's kind of upsetting. A relative died, but due to us never really forming a relationship, I don't feel bad, and that's frustrating, at the most, I feel some sympathy for my dad, since it was his mom/sister (it's complicated, and I just knew a few years ago), and he seemed... according to him, fine, at the very least he hides it well.
