    So, you know, a series has two factions, the protagonist is in the middle of them, and neither of them is portrayed as all that good, okay, no problem, the world isn't black and white, but what happens when you go too far and make the fans want to burn both sides to the ground? That's kind of a big slip up, don't ya think?

      Not necessarily. It really depends on what the writer is aiming for.

      It can because then it's not really greys anymore, it's just black and black, with you taking your own path as the 3rd option creating white. If that's what the writier is aiming for it's okay I guess but I feel it kind of defeats the purpose of making greys in the first place.
