you doing the right building?
I tried every frozen building, and I'm pretty sure the correct one is the farthest one to the west. Either way, nothing is happening.

Oh, in that case, you should go back to Kristiline and get Magma Drift from the shop by defrosting the building with the Magma Stone.

EDIT: Well, I can't seem to defrost the building. I do have the Magma Stone in my inventory, but nothing is happening

I'm assuming you chose the option to save the Elder so I believe you have to talk to Elder again, who should be in the area still but in a different room. Once you talked to her, go back to Telia Town and go to Amber's house.
No, I chose the other option... either way, i'll try that.

Eldest took Aelita back to the village and I confronted the grunt, saw the cutscene where he says he got fired, can't figure out where to go now.

Aside from the regional adventure with Ash & Pikachu, there's also Pokemon Origins, which is a really short anime-like representation of Red's adventure through Kanto. That's something I can recommend watching.
As for the main anime with Ash, it's doubtful that you'd enjoy it - after all, watching him make awful decisions is painful to watch.

I can't rank Arbok yet, since it gets all the viable moves above the current level cap.
Anyway, it seems that posts do have a content limit - I got a CONTENT_TOO_LONG error. This does force me to erase the D rank, in order to create space for viable Pokemon.

My favorite main character is Melia, and my favorite side character is Nancy
Nancy is awesome shes a cool, fun and strong person, she is really pleasant and she puts her child above anyone else in the world including herself, she is probably the best mum ever!

To expand on Blaziken's viability:
S Rank: This Pokemon is hands down the best starter - great offensive stats, amazing ability and incredibly strong STAB moves in the form of High Jump Kick and Flare Blitz make it near unmatched once it reaches that oh so sweet level 36. It also gets Bulk Up, so one can set up a few of those and perhaps sweep just about any team. There has not been any point in the game where I found that it wasn't able to do anything. It helps greatly with Florinia, Shelly, Serra, Noel and can also be good against Samson if running Brave Bird.
