    It's strange. I spend one third of my life playing videogames, one third dealing with social and university-related matters, and one third pursuing a dream of mine... Yet there is a war literally at my doorstep. Life goes on as usual in my city, yet we could find ourselves in a war any minute now...

      Oh yeah. There will be a school shooting in some place like LA and people all the way up in Maine will be crying out terror. For those among you who don't know, Maine is the little bit of America that is the furthest North-East. Yes, it's bad, but still. And anyway, I hope you all stay safe and well.

      We are, but the thing that shocks me (and what lead me to make that comparison with LA and Chicago) is that most italians don't give a damn. There is a damn war just across the sea, thousands of people flee from Libya as a result arriving in Italy as refugees, and most italians just don't give a damn.

      That's crazy. I may be young, but at least I'm concerned about the general well being of people. To disregard human life is ridiculous and to dehumanize yourself.
