So, since I am a nostalgic son of a gun, I have decided that, starting on January the 11th (the day I get back to Bologna), I will be (re-)playing the entire Disgaea series, starting with Hour of Darkness in its PS2 incarnation. Anyone knows the game and is willing to lend me a hand planning out a team? Focus on leveling up Laharl since he's strongest of the story characters. Look into how to unlock the best mage/skull class (star... I think?), how to unlock Ronin/Ninja (fairly early in the game) Samurai, Scout and Angel. Those are among my personal favorite as well as being some of the most useful classes (that's assuming you don't have access to Majin which is just plain better than everything)

...g Laharl only out of the main cast since he's the only truly useful character. If you've the time/will, make good use of the reincarnation system since it helps you become exponentially stronger fairly quickly. Item World also helps.
Disgaea 1 is fairly more grindy than the other ones, which... Is saying a lot, considering the series.
