    It would seem I fixed that problem with WinDS Pro... Geez, I risked an infart there...

      Yup, you were right on the money: some malware got in when I downloaded the latest update. I deleted all the files even remotely related to WinDS Pro, I run a full scan to make sure no malware was left, and then I re-installed the old version I had kept for backup... And now it would seem everything is ok! I'll have a couple more tests just to make sure, but everything seems to be in order...

      Yeah, then it's probably best to stay away from whereever you downloaded the update from now on then, since if one file is compromised on the site, then there's probably no telling how many others are also... (Assuming of course, it's some primarily file sharing site)
