  1. I don't watch the anime very much, but something that always irks me is how a lot of people tend to complain that the anime doesn't follow the rules of the games very much. Things like Pikachu being able to take out a Tyranitar and a Metagross, where in the games, Lightball Pikachu wouldn't have enough damage, and its defenses would be too low to let it survive the beating it receives from Metagross.

I want to flashback to an old episode from Season 1 of Pokemon, The School of Hard Knocks. Basically, Ash and co. arrive at a private school for Pokemon training. The students use a simulator that looks identical to Pokemon Red and Blue to gauge what outcomes a battle will have. Ash, Misty, and Brock argue with some of the students about how it's more than just type matchups, and Misty proves that to one student by defeating his Weepinbell with her Starmie. Then the top student shows up, agreeing that it's more than types, and proceeds to defeat Starmie with a Graveler. While the top student agrees that it's more than Typing, she explains that it has to do with things like levels and stats. Ash then beats her Cubone with Pikachu, despite Pikachu being considered to be "low level" according to the top student's analysis.

I think the point of this episode was to showcase that the simulations, i.e. the Pokemon Games, aren't accurate to what Pokemon would be like in real life. The anime is trying to explore the fantasy of real world Pokemon, and things like levels, stats, IVs, and EVs just aren't real numbers. They're used in the simulator to give upcoming trainers an idea of how Pokemon will perform in a battle, but the reality is that living, breathing creates are a lot more than 1s and 0s.

In essence, it means that the games are inaccurate to what Pokemon would actually be like far more than the anime is, simply because games need hard rules and lines in order to function. In the games, there's a hard limit to how much damage Pikachu can withstand, but with the Anime, Pikachu is allowed to break those rules because he's a living creature, and not a robot. He doesn't have limitations in the way that in-game Pikachus do.

I kinda agree with this. I completely forgot about that episode.

  2. Here's the subbed episode:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49p0_GGo6G8

So this episode had BS written all over it. Pikachu bascially took down Tyranitar and Metagross....WTF? They're both 10x stronger than Pikachu so those two fights were complete BS and I refuse to watch that again.

On to Noivern and Weavile, why would Ash keep Noivern in against an ice type? It has little to no battle experience and you keep it as a disadvantage?? Unova Ash.

Hawlucha vs Weavile was actually nice to watch till I got hold of the subbed version. Apparently Hawlucha used Weavile's attacks to make itself stronger. WTF? That is BS. I legit thought it was Bulk up.

Onwards to the birb fight, it was cool to watch and like said above, I already knew it was going to be a tie becuase Unfezant sucks and the anime tried to make it look good. I kinda approve of this battle. Still mad that he doesn't have some other flying type though.

Preview: So we see Charizard vs Pikachu and Goodra vs Bisharp and then Charizard vs Greninja. We all know that Greninja will fight Charizard last so Pikachu most definitely will be knocked out by Charizard. Bisharp vs. Goodra. I legit think they're going to pull an Episode 35 and make Goodra fall to a tie again. Or Bisharp might beat Goodra and Greninja finish it off. (Poor Goodra, so squishy and huggable).

  3. Definately Lumi. She seems so sweet and innocent. Zero is like the opposite of Lumi whereas Eve is like the neutral part of the trio. So they have Positivity (Lumi), Negativity (Zero) and Neutral. (Eve)

  4. answer squad round 2

maybe she kicked it up an incline

maybe she kicked it and it bounced off of something

maybe she kicked it up into the air

maybe she is from australia and this is some weird slang for boomerang I've never heard of

maybe she kicked it a certain way such that it would have backspin and return to her

    maybe she's born with it

    maybe it's maybelline

maybe I'm too tired for this shit

adoption? stepchild of divorced parents? some kind of sperm donor surrogate deal?

    .... B's the daughter isn't she.

    roosters .. don't lay eggs?

uuuh maybe he's a ghoooooost truck driver

    oooOOOoooOOOoooOOOoooOOOooo~

.... idk man is it because the cops were all distracted by their donuts or something I don't got this one

1st was "She kicked it in the air", 2nd one was "B's the daughter", 3rd one was "Roosters don't lay eggs", and 4th one was "He was walking".

Ok these are my last questions then I'll leave you alone:

How many times can you subtract 10 from 100?

If you throw a red stone into the blue sea what it will become?

If there are 6 apples and you take away 4, how many do you have?

If it took eight men ten hours to build a wall, how long would it take four men to build it?

A farmer has five haystacks in one field and four haystacks in another. How many haystacks would he have if he combined them all in one field?
  5. A little girl kicks a soccer ball. It goes 10 feet and comes back to her. How is this possible?

A is the father of B. But B is not the son of A. How’s that possible?

A rooster laid an egg on top of the barn roof. Which way did it roll?

A truck driver is going down a one way street the wrong way, and passes at least ten cops. Why is he not caught?

  6. Jesus Christ.

Okay this battle had a load of BS all over it. Most of the battles was rushed, but DAMN that animation for Greninja and Sceptile was WAY too good. I was literally shouting at my laptop saying "OMG SO GOOD". Ok, back to the main topic. I liked how Ash used the logs to prevent stance change, it was really smart to use what Shota did against him. Noivern vs Salamence. Ooooh boy. It was rushed, but I LOVE Noivern's battle expression. I remember when it was a cute little cry baby. Ok BS alert!!! Goodra vs Slurpuff. All KINDS of BS during this fight, but let me comment on Dazzling Gleam's animation. It was GODLY. Almost like a mini Judgement. Anyways, I really expected Goodra to win this round an dnot end up in ANOTHER TIE. This just adds on to the battle being rush and just pushing BS out. Pikachu vs Sceptile. Can't really say anything about it because it was like 5 seconds. Pikachu got overwhelmed by Sceptile and that's it. Greninja/Ash-Greninja vs Sceptile/Mega Sceptile. Okay, so this battle was amaizng tbh. I'd have to agree with the 4x resistance to water type attacks and I was hoping Ash would learn a move or something, but it was still a pretty good rival battle. Also, the fact that Shota was CRYING during that last scene before Sceptile lost was just too much for me and just left me speechless. He knew he was going to lose and he still gave it his all. Sinnoh's rival battle still wins so far in strategy and pokemon, but in animation, Kalos def. wins. Overall, this episode was amazing and threw a good amoutn of BS at us, but hey, good animation almost makes up the BS for me. ALMOST.

  7. So I've made another file of Rejuvenation and noticed a few pokemon events that give out the same pokemon. Events like the Mime Jr. one in Wispy Ruins and there's another Mime Jr. in Wispy Tower. I know the one in Wispy Tower is supposed to tell the player that fairy type pokemon aren't really affected by the shadowfacation process, but how about we express it by putting another pokemon there like Snubbull? Or maybe Spritzee? I just think events that give the same pokemon is kinda repetitive.
