"Flare!" Danielle laughed alongside the trio of boys. She was just glad that this was finally off her chest and could enjoy the result; Danielle secretly thanked Alastair for the advice before she proceeded to wipe off the sauce on her Pokemon with an unused napkin. As soon as they are done cleaning themselves off, however, she heard Avis gave a low, threatening cry. This time, the Dark Pulse that was threatening to come out from her beak was finally noticed by Avis' human. Danielle, surprised at her sudden hostility and the new move, looked towards where Avis' gaze settled on - Jacob and Kristen - before she pat Avis. Although Kristen didn't seem to like to hold her tongue against the coordinator, Jacob's presence seems to make her think twice about throwing an insult. "No Dark Pulse, Avis. Jacob has it under control." The mention of Jacob, however, also brought another unsettling thought to mind: Would Jacob be upset if he saw them together? 'I'm going to need to explain to Slade about this...' Using his hunger as an advantage to get away, Danielle got up and began walking towards the dinner table. "Why are you still sitting here then? Let's go~" she invited, although her tone indicated that something was worrying her. Hopefully, Slade would be perceptive enough to pick it up.
Avis looked perplexed when Danielle said "Dark Pulse." So that was why she kept on having these dark, violent thoughts whenever an enemy threatens her master! She looked to Corona, who also seemed surprised by Avis' anger. To test it out, Avis let out a sigh that released a few loose, black-purplish rings that exploded in midair. Corona chirped, congratulating her Murkrow friend for a new move. Avis nodded hesitantly at the newly found power; she was going to have to get Danielle to help her practice this before using it in battle. For now, though, Avis told Corona to stand guard and flew towards her master after hearing her worried voice. She then gestured to Slade to follow her, in case he didn't get the memo.
