  1. The nature collage was finally complete. While Mawile helped with the flattening of the flower petals, Avis and Corona had searched around the chosen area to gather up the materials. The polished pearl lumps that the Mawile helped to shape with his powerful steel horn are now fitted in snugly to represent the Nidorino's visible claws and tooth; a small, white stone is now the white of the Nidorino's visible eye while an even smaller black stone is the eye itself. Corona's thin, sticky threads were then placed onto the contours of the Pokemon's brow, mouth, nose and horn to allow the black, grounded up stone particles to latch onto to bring out the Poison type's features more effectively. Danielle gave it a few shakes to allow the extra particles or petals to fall off before she presented the results to the 3 Pokemon. "What do you think?" Her voice echoed throughout the space around them. The Mawile had led them to this underground lake due to its abundance of minerals and rocks that could be useful for the picture. The four of them were sitting comfortably with their backs leaning against several stalagmites near the lake. The three Pokemon peered at the collage, examining the angles this way and that, before the all gave a cry of satisfaction. "Great!" Danielle exclaimed as she took a quick snap of the collage with her camera. "Now we just need to get back outside and get some honey to apply that extra layer and we will be set to go! The only thing is," she then looked at the Mawile, "We need to you to lead us back... Please?" The Mawile nodded and began walking back towards the entrance. Once his back was turned, Danielle then felt a tug and saw Avis and Corona give her an encouraging nod. She has to speak up now or else she would lose their new teammate. With a deep breath, Danielle walked over to the Mawile and knelt down besides him. "Wait a minute, Mawile. I know I didn't make a good first impression, but I would really, really appreciate it if you could join my team. As you can see," she gestured to Avis and Corona, "We have a huge weakness against Rock types, which is something you're good with. And... Um... Considering what you have done for us so far... I think I might be able to overcome my fear by being with you so... Will you come with us?" She held out a Great Ball to emphasize her point. The Fairy type Pokemon glanced at the capsule at first before he gave a smirk. Instead of going to the entrance, he went back to the wide, empty space and pointed to Avis and Corona. "Maw wile! If they wanted him to join their team, they will have to prove their worth. Danielle nodded, snapping the Great Ball back onto her belt and moved towards the other side of the area, making sure to leave a considerable amount of space between them. "Avis, take care of the picture for us! Corona, let's go!" Her two Pokemon responded enthusiastically: Avis stayed by the picture while Corona crawled in front of Danielle to face the Mawile. The Larvesta fired a few flames from her horns, clearly ready for a battle. Likewise, the Mawile snapped its huge jaw and gave a menacing glare at the Larvesta, which made her shiver somewhat. "An Intimidator, I see. Alright then, Corona! Start off with an Ember!" Danielle cried. Corona did as she was commanded, firing off little flaming bullets at the vulnerable Steel type. Mawile scoffed as white orbs began to circle around him. Shortly thereafter, the orbs neutralized the Ember attack, rendering the Mawile unharmed. 'Hidden Power? How odd, but effective, nonetheless.' "Let's see if you can handle a Flame Charge then!" the coordinator declared. Corona was immediately covered with fire as she charged straight into the fairy. The Mawile gasped as she crashed into him at such velocity; it sent him crashing into the wall behind him. The impact emitted a cloud of smoke that surrounded the victim. Shortly afterwards, Danielle and Corona heard sniffling and crying from the Mawile's direction. Corona and Danielle looked on in shock as the seemingly tough Mawile came back into the field with tears in his eyes. "H-Hey, umm... Sorry about that..." Danielle began to apologize as Corona began to walk over to the crying Pokemon. In a flash, the Mawile smirked and fired off another Hidden Power that hit Corona squarely on her face. He then laughed at his successful trick. Danielle couldn't help but admire that little fairy. Despite the type disadvantage, he was handling himself pretty well. "Not bad at all, but we are not finished yet. Corona, charge forward again!" The Larvesta quickly shook herself before launching into another Flame Charge. This time, the Mawile was ready: He turned his back to his opponent and opened up his signature jaw to trap Corona in, but that was exactly what Danielle was waiting for. As the two halves of the horn squeezed Corona, Danielle ordered one last command to her Larvesta. "Caught you, Mawile! Now, Corona! Fiery pin wheel!" Corona cloaked herself once more in a Flame Charge, which made the Mawile release to avoid burning himself. Before he could get away, Corona leapt up and spun around while she transitioned into firing off the Ember stream, which covered most of the field. The Mawile cried in agony as the searing flames continued to lick his metallic frame before he finally collapsed onto the ground. Danielle snatched up the Great Ball and threw it onto the Mawile's head; the capsule then absorbed the exhausted Pokemon in a flash of red light and began to wiggle around on the cavern floor. One... Two... Three... Ping! Danielle sighed with relief as her Pokemon cheered. She actually caught a Fairy Pokemon, who knew? Danielle went over to the Great Ball and released the Mawile. He let out a satisfied cry as she gave him and Corona each a Sitrus Berry. Avis came over to join them, carrying the masterpiece firmly in her talons. "So, let's see..." Danielle said out loud as she took out the Pokedex. "Well, first off, welcome to the team! Now, I just need to give you a name... How about Athena, after the goddess of wisdom and war?" The Mawile seemed offended at the suggestion; he gave a glare at Danielle before he turned away from her, still eating the berry all the while. "O-Okay, that's a no..." Danielle then preceded to scan the Pokedex on her Mawile's information. She then laughed after she realized her mistake. "I get it; you're a guy. No wonder you're offended." She saw his steel mandibles nod to confirm her statement. "Fine, then I have another good name for you. Zared, which means the deceiver. How is that?" The Mawile considered "Zared" for a moment, chewing on his last bite of the berry. The reasoning behind it seems fair enough, and the name doesn't sound too bad. The Mawile finally turned back around to face his coordinator and gave a smile to say he accepted it. "Great! So Zared it is then!" The coordinator checked the moves that the Mawile has as they finished up eating. "I saw Hidden Power Water and Fake Tears... Bite, Iron Head, Fairy Wind and... Pain Split? Hey, Zared, why didn't you use that before? You could have given me a hard time with that." The Mawile shrugged. Truth be told, Zared sort of liked Danielle's company; he felt important to know that he could help her overcome her fear, so why_not go along for the ride? "Thanks, Zared, really." Danielle smiled as she stared out into the lake. 'Maybe fairies really aren't bad after all. It's just those in my hometown... That's good to know.'
  2. 199 If you don't want to get in trouble for killing a guy, yes~
  3. 192 That's not sexist, I was only describing my strengths and weaknesses lol! Believe me, I know I can't restrain a guy...
  4. Going to post my Mawile catch later tonight since it's going to be another long post. Heading off for dinner~ Jory asked Chimchain earlier today if he could train up his team with the wild dragons. Chimchain said yes (and gave +1 level up for it).

  7. "There! It's done!" Danielle exclaimed, holding out the tree bark for those around her to see. The lighter-colored lavender petals made up of the entirety of the Nidorino's body while a few darker violet petals represented the Nidorino's dark spots. A few indents could still be felt to indicate the separation of jawline and the eyebrow with the rest of the Pokemon's structure. "Now, all we need is a few white stones for the claws, the tooth and the whites of its eye, and maybe some black powder for the eye itself and the indentations. Oh! And some honey to provide a finishing coat to keep everything together... Yeah..." Danielle gently put the bark onto the ground and stretched herself out, inadvertently kicking her Pokedex towards the leaving Mawile. "Mawile, the Deceiver Pokémon. Mawile's horns form a huge set of jaws strong enough to chew up an iron beam. It uses its docile-looking face to lull foes into complacency, then bites with its huge, relentless jaws." Danielle immediately froze in place, her heart began beating at a rapid pace no thanks to her nervousness. Slowly, her eyes followed the blinking light of her Pokedex... And found herself facing a very complacent Mawile that is examining the strange device that was analyzing him. Danielle let out a terrified squeak and held up her artwork in front of her face, as if that will protect her from a Mawile's strong horn. ------ The Steel type was actually impressed by the floral design that Danielle had created. Not only did it look pretty, it smelled pretty nice too. He nodded his approval before he decided to take his leave; his curiosity was satisfied. However, the rolling Pokedex stopped his trek when it started to speak. The Mawile recognized it as one of those devices that a few other trainers have used when they ventured into his home, but he has never seen one this close in person. He decided to wait around to see if the Pokedex will speak again, only to look up from the strange, blinking light when he heard the human recoil from him. He raised an eyebrow when she tried to hide herself from that small piece of bark. "Maw...?" he asked Avis, who has flown over to his side. He only got a "Murkrow" as a response. All will be explained; that was what she told him. He crossed his arms once more and waited for this bird's trainer to calm down. ------ She could only hear her inconsistent breathing. There was no cry of pain, no crunching sounds being made, nothing. Corona was still beside her and Avis... well, she heard her give a calm cry, so Danielle knew she was safe. 'If they aren't running away from it, I guess I have nothing to worry about.' With that in mind, Danielle finally gathered her wits and began lowering the bark from her face. When she saw the Mawile's dark red eyes, however, she cowered behind it again. Danielle then heard an unfamiliar sigh before she felt a poke on her leg. When she looked down, the said Fairy type was there giving her a confused expression. "Mawile?" it asked. 'At least it's not attacking me. Jacob is right, maybe it's not so bad...' Danielle finally put down the bark to her side and took a good look at the Deceiver Pokemon. It looked like any old Mawile that she had seen in her textbooks: Pale yellow body with black patterns and red eyes... It's huge, prominent horn that can tear up anything that is weaker than iron... The only difference seems to be its taller than average height. Taking advantage of its docile nature, Danielle unzipped her backpack and pulled out a Sitrus Berry. "I'm sorry for my reaction back there. It's not just you; I'm like that around all Fairy and Electric type Pokemon due to a past event with my Murkrow, Avis here." she explained as the Mawile took the berry. With a sigh, Danielle then got up, gathered up her things and took the collage with one arm. "I'm going to go look for stones and such now... You can come with us if you want...?" Mawile sniffed the Sitrus berry before he blinked at Danielle and the two Pokemon. He saw Corona give a nod to indicate that its safe to eat. Avis had already flown back to Danielle's shoulder; she mimicked the Mawile's action before giving a shrug. He tilted his head and took a bite as Danielle began to head back outside. The berry was, much to his surprise, delicious! It wasn't too sweet nor too sour. It was a blend with perfect harmony! After savoring the first bite, the Steel type quickly deposited the rest into his back jaw and ran over to block Danielle from leaving. "Maw maw mawile! Mawile!" he cried as he pointed to the picture and to the cave. He then ran back the way he came from and waited for the trio to follow him, taking out the berry to nibble on as he did so. Danielle looked to Avis and Corona to see what they want to do. Just as she thought, however, they both sped off to the Mawile and left her standing there. She scratched her head and chuckled. She was still uneasy about this newcomer, but a good impression was needed to get him to join their party. "Okay, if you two think it's fine, I'll go with you. Thank you, Mawile." On that note, the four of them headed deeper into the cave to find the missing items.
