1. First result of a google search for "Poke Place." http://www.angelfire.com/sk/PokePlace/
2. If the shadow weren't there, the illusion would work better.
3. So starting today you can get Jarachi from the mystery gift wifi. I literally just did it, so go give it a try.
4. I've been sporadically EV training a themed team that will probably end in fail, but I am doing it anyway. I still need to go through the second half of heart gold, but I've been kinda waiting so that the team, 5 of which were hatched and are being trained in Pearl, can be traded over and gain all of that happy extra experience. It is just taking a lot longer than I want it too (I've been trying to earn the power items as I need them, but that always takes forever, too. I don't exactly have a great team for the battle tower).
5. And you also rely on chance. Unless I misunderstood the everstone/nature relationship when breeding, 50% doesn't mean jack.
6. Yeah, IV's, yeah. To further your point about those jerks... look at this! This is a croagunk I bred to use on ma team, and let's look at its pretty decent IVs (not all perfect because I am too uncaring). 31 speed? Frig yes! 25 and 25 for defenses? OK, not too concerned, but me likey. Wait..... 8 FRIGGIN ATTACK?! Potentially his most important stat has the lowest IV? How rude. So I figured I would try again, and started breeding again. But... I wanted a specific nature, and ability, so it was going to be a pain. Though, the everstone on the mother pokemon is supposed to give a 50% chance of having the same nature, right? Convenient, since that croagunk is female. So I had my croagunk and ditto get busy and after something like 75 eggs (seriously...), and not a SINGLE ONE of them with the right nature, I just gave up. Bah.
7. How about easier EV training? I know Nintendo barely acknowledges the existence of EV points, but still. Even just a way to see how many points you have in which stats would make it a happier process. Oh, and as someone said at monkeypro, no more damned HM moves.
8. I would like to see Ampharos' move pool expanded. Yeah.
9. Two things are missing on your skins. 1) The top button on posts that allows you to quickly go to the top of the page (I suppose I could just get using the home button...). 2) A Mark All Posts As Read button to... do what it says. I might be missing something, though.
10. I saw the first two, but lost interest in the show and movies not long after. I remember vaguely what they were about, but meh. I can't really chose a favorite between them.
11. I enjoyed pokemon snap quite a lot, too. Re-playing it recently on the wii hasn't really changed that opinion much. it's still just plain silly fun. pokemon pinball and trading card game were alright, but I don't miss them. (don't expect to see another TCG video game, because that would cut in to the actual card sales ). other than that, I haven't really played anything else. I had hey you pikachu, but I never played it. My younger brother always did.
12. Yeah, I'm working on a team for battling right now. I totally would have lost that tournament on MP not long ago, but I like what I'm doing. It's making me happy.
13. My favorite is Ampharos, and I have about zero justification for it. From everything I can tell, it's pretty useless for battling (though I'm still going to try), and it has a sad, sad move pool. But I just love the thing. It's one pokemon family I've consistently used since G/S. I also like Alakazam. In the single player, at least, that's a pokemon that will never let you down. Oh, and turtwig.
14. I still identify most with the original 150, and most from the second generation. I don't mind most of them, though. Clearly I am a fan of turtwigs with drum sets.
15. I wasn't a fan of most anything that came out after Gold and Silver, but a good 99% of the pokemon have grown on me. I have a feeling it will be similar with these new games.
16. I wish I could claim to know some. Unfortunately, even though I've sank more hours in to these pokemon games than just about every other game, I am something of a newb to the whole competitive battling thing. I never had anybody to play against when playing Blue and Gold, so I just got the strongest pokemon I could find. I did catch all of the original 150... I skipped over the third generation completely. And not long after D/P came out, I had to go move out, get all married, and have a kid, so that seriously cut my interest in the games. Thankfully my lovely wife loves the games, so that's why I have heartgold, and renewed interest in the games. I admit that I love reading sites like smogon and serebii, even if you hate their life. I don't recommend anyone copy them 100%, but they at least give you a good idea of some things that the pokemon are capable of. Just think of them as decent reference, and you don't have to hate them anymore. I don't have any special strategies right now, but hopefully I'll get there. Maybe I'll be less newbish when Black and White come out.
17. I think she's right in that with more hit points, what she's saying would make a difference. But the overkill factor nullifies that. But perhaps that's the point. train your sweepers in attack? That's what they're for. Pokemon has lots of options, so it's not as if you're limited in any real way. On a side note, exploring that site a bit fills me with a wave of nostalgia for days of yore when I was first getting in to this internet mess, and discovering people's personal sites. It brought a smile to my face. p.s. i hate you emoticon. and love you.
18. My thoughts are that if you're that worried about how you know which pokeball is which, you're probably over thinking it. Also hi.
