  1. Now that I think about it, what are all of the possible outcomes for the part where Sigmund and Sirius invade the house?
  2. Chapter XXXIV: The Mysterious El, The Bug-Loving Bennett, And Beauty Queen Serra! After training my Pokemon, I find a Good Rod in the house that was blocked by a tree at the entrance of Spinel Town. As I head back to Serra's mansion, many more strange things happen to the town. For example, there's a train in the middle of town, the fountain disappears, it's all chaotic. Once I head back to the mansion, I talk to Serra. She remarks on how lively her home is now that me and El are here. She says that since we're waiting for the Pokemart to move, she invites me to battle her for her badge. She says that it might even be an easy win for me, because she says that she's not cut out to be a Gym Leader. However, she says that it was all that was open to her. She then tells me that she used to be a fairly known model, and asks me if I have heard of her. She then continues her story, and says that she gave up her career for her son, She doesn't regret it either. Bennett interrupts her, and she states that Bennett is actively trying to improve his own skills. She also says that he generally insists that he battles any challengers she has first. And that means that I have to battle him before I can battle her. However... I decide to battle El first, because I think battling him will train my Pokemon quite a bit. El advises that I would not enjoy challenging him in Bennett's place. However, since I do not care, I talk to him again. He's surprised that I wish to challenge him, and he is intrigued. He then agrees to humor me with a short engagement... Aduro, Creo, Iudex... Mei Divinitus! Let Judgement rain down upon thee. In thy qualms, a new light awakens, a beacon of truth, let it be thus revealed. Parson El sends out Snorlax... A LEVEL 65 SNORLAX... While I send out Hydra. I use the switching technique to decrease Snorlax's massive attack stat, even if it means knocking down almost all of my Pokemon in the process. However, I managed to lower Snorlax's defense with Corey's Rock Smash, and I also managed to burn Snorlax with Charles' Flamethrower. Eventually, when Snorlax's health gets low, El decides to use a FULL RESTORE on Snorlax... Great... Eventually, most of my Pokemon faint, and I send out Hydra, and by this point, Snorlax's attack stat is down -5. Hydra sets up with Dragon Dance three times, and then uses Aqua Tail, which nearly knocks out Snorlax. Eventually, Snorlax is finally knocked out with another Aqua Tail, and Hydra gets a TON of Exp. Points! He then mutters more words, and I win the battle! He says that Light is the unlimited potential of life, and yet I have overcome it. He says that as impressive as it may be, there is no meaning to such a thing. He says that in short, my destiny lies elsewhere. I head to the Pokemon Center to heal my Pokemon, and then I head back to battle Bennett, who states that he will be happy to demonstrate for me the fruits of his research. Bennett, I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other again after this... So I'll just stop you right now. As a Lepidopterist, Bennett sends out Larvesta, while I send out Hydra. Hydra builds up his attack and speed with Dragon Dance, while Larvesta is just building up speed with Flame Charge. Eventually, I finally have Hydra attack with Aqua Tail, which instantly knocks out Larvesta. Bennett sends out Mothim, who falls immediately after Hydra uses bites it with Ice Fang. Bennett then sends out Dustox, who also faints from Ice Fang. However, it manages to survive, allowing Bennett to heal it with a Hyper Potion. After another Ice Fang fails to knock out Dustox, Bennett heals Dustox with another Hyper Potion. After he runs out of Hyper Potions, his Dustox finally falls to Hydra's mighty Ice Fang. He sends out Butterfree, who faints immediately from Ice Fang. Bennett sends out Masquerain, who also falls to Ice Fang. Bennett sends out Venomoth, his last Pokemon, who faints from a critical hit Ice Fang. Bennett realizes that he still has ways to go, and I win the battle! El is impressed with our battle, and believes that me and Bennett both have been gifted by Arceus' light. Bennett replies that he doesn't believe in such 'light', but instead diligence and commitment. El tells him that such diligence will indeed take him far. He asks Bennett what his dream is, and Bennett tells him that someday, he'd like to become an authority on bug types, and maybe even a Gym Leader. El is surprised at his goal, and asks him if he would want to be a member of the Elite Four. Bennett replies that the idea would be unthinkably fantastic. However, as he has said, he still has a long way to go before he even has a chance. El is inspired by his dedication, and offers service to Bennett. Serra asks El what connections he has to the Elite Four. El knows that it is inconsequential, but he sees potential in her son. He asks her if she would permit Bennett to embark on a sort of training excursion, and even states that if he were to excel, he could even join the ranks of the Elite. Bennett is surprised and amazed by what El is saying, and El says that he means it. Serra says that if that's how it is, then it's not her place to stop him. El gets off of the couch, and tells Bennett to accompany him outside so he can discuss the details with him. He and Bennett leave, and I go and heal my Pokemon. I talk to Serra, and it seems that she's taken aback by that turn of events. She knows that her son will have to leave eventually, but she's just not sure she's ready for that. It feels like lately, her life has just been one loss after another. She used to have so much... Fame, money, even a lover... It's hard for her to hold up a modeling career when she was expecting a child though. That was only the first in a long line of dominoes. Now, instead of having her old career, she is a Gym Leader. She is fine by this, however, as Ice is the most beautiful type. Within reflections and crystal imperfections, there is art. It's something that she could never hope to live up to again, but at least she can be a Gym Leader. She tells me that if I'm ready, then the battle may begin. She explains the rules, and the battle begins. She says that the battle will be over before I know it, just like everything else... Serra, even though Bennett may be going away, don't give up. Find a new purpose to make you shine! Beauty Queen Serra sends out Cloyster, while I send out Charles. Charles burns Cloyster with a critical hit Flamethrower, but Cloyster survives with a Focus Sash. However, Flamethrower leaves a burn on Cloyster, and Cloyster's Rock Blast misses, which means that Cloyster is knocked out. Serra sends out Abomasnow next, who burns from Flamethrower. Serra sends out Lapras, I switch out Charles for Gardevoir, and set up Calm Mind. Gardevoir then uses Psychic a few times, and knocks out Lapras. Serra then sends out Froslass, who knocks out Gardevoir quickly. I send out Charles again, while she hits with Frost Breath, and switches out Frosslass for Cryogonal, who gets the Flamethrower. She sends out Frosslass again, and strikes Charles down with Blizzard. I send out Arc, who takes a Shadow Ball, and Crunches Froslass. Arc manages to avoid a Blizzard, and Serra heals Froslass with a Hyper Potion. Arc then knocks out Froslass with another Bite once the Reflect from Cryogonal is down. Serra sends out Avalugg, and I send out Corey, who is knocked out by Avalugg's Avalanche. I send out Arc again, who suffers the same fate as Corey did. I send out Persian, who flinches Avalugg with Bite. Once Avalugg's health gets low, Serra gives it a Hyper Potion. Eventually, Avalugg manages to attack, and when it does, it knocks down Persian. I send out Hydra, and Serra uses ANOTHER Hyper Potion. Eventually, Avalugg gets knocked down with a Dragon Danced Aqua Tail and Bite. After a long battle, I finally won. Serra gives me the advice to hold on to success while I can. Serra tells me that Ice, like a mirror, will never be perfect again once it's cracked. It seems that she has already reached that point. She tells me that Bennett shows potential, and I have earned the Rime Badge. Serra gives me the Rime Badge, which means that Pokemon up to level 55 will be happy to listen to me. Furthermore, the Rime Badge slightly boosts the speed of all of my Pokemon. Last, but not least, she also gives me TM79 Frost Breath, which always lands a critical hit. She tries to say more, but then an earthquake occurs. Serra bets that that was the Pokemon Center falling on her house just now, too. Meanwhile... El is outside talking to Bennett, and says to him that he's sure that Bennett realizes that for him to take an unknown such as Bennett, and introduce him to the Elite Four is not an easy feat. Bennett is well aware of that, and El says that he can do it. However, as he is doing Bennett a great service, he expects the same in return, in which Bennett obliges to that. What El wants to know is information about his daughter. He knows that Bennett did not share all that he knows, and Bennett is well aware of that too. El asks him where Luna went, and Bennett replies that Luna may have mentioned Vanhanen Castle. Apparently, El know that place, as he is disgusted by the sound of it. Bennett is a bit confused, and El says it's nothing. Just then, the Pokemart disappears from the balcony of Serra's home, and off to who knows where. Both notice this sudden disappearance, and El asks one more thing from Bennett. He asks that when she left, if she had on her a certain Emerald Brooch he had given to her. He asks Bennett if she still has it, and Bennett replies that she does, while saying that she looks great on it, but then snaps himself out of it. El is satisfied, and says that Bennett has served his purpose. El tells him that it's time to go, but Bennett wants to say goodbye to Serra. However, El says that there is no time for that, and asks him if he wants to miss his chance. He tells Bennett to come along, and they leave. I head outside and try to look for the Pokemart, but it's not at its regular spot either. WAIT A MINUTE! Since junk is at the Byxbysion Wasteland, I'll check there! However, as I check the Chrysolia Forest, I find that the Pokemart may be here instead. Eventually, I make it back to the tracks, and find that the Pokemart is near the Tanzan Mountain. I get in there, buy the medicine, and forty Pokeballs, and head back to the Hideout. What would El want with the Emerald Brooch? Is the Emerald Brooch just like the Ruby Ring, the Saphire Bracelet, and the Amethyst Pendant? Current Pokemon Stats Nothing much happened. A few Pokemon leveled up, and Hydra gave the BEATDOWN! 3. Guess what? I CAN battle El after all! I guess the El battle is taken out in Episode 9.5 or 10, because I can battle him easily in Episode 9. I have to talk to Serra first, then when she wants me to battle Bennett, I have to talk to El twice. All he has is a Snorlax... a Level 65 Snorlax... Shouldn't be a problem, right?
  4. I see... Well, shoot. I guess it was Episode 8 that had the battle? Oh well, it's obsolete now. Also, good luck with Dragonite. So far, this moveset's been good, but I guess it's cause I've been lucky with the team.
  5. I have not beaten Serra yet or done anything.
  6. Which Episode did the El battle get removed? I still have Episode 9, but when I checked it to see if I could battle El, he wouldn't battle me. Is it because I've been playing Reborn with Episode 10 for a while, or what?
  7. Chapter XXXIII: The Strange Spinel Town, The Mysterious Chrysolia Forest, And Knowledge Of Ancient Reborn! I head inside the huge house, and find everyone talking to the girl with pink hair. Laura's here! Just when she's surprised to see Noel and Anna, Charlotte comes inside after me. Laura's surprised to see everyone, but she thought they were all at the Orphanage. Charlotte tells her that they've had enough of the geezer, so they hooked him up to his own shock machine, and gave him the once-through. Laura gets scared, and asks if this is true, but Charlotte says that she's just kidding. She wishes that they really did though. Instead, we flew the coop, and we need to lay low here for a while. Charlotte introduces me and Shelly to Laura, her sister. Laura says that it's a pleasure to meet us both, if unexpected... Shelly says that it's nice to meet her too. Charlotte tells Laura that me and Shelly helped them escape from the Doctor, and they thought it might be too dangerous for us to go back to the city, so we'll be staying here too for a while. I don't know about Shelly, but I am MORE than capable of hanging around at the city. Well, for side quests, of course. Heck, I even helped the police, so I am fine. Though I should stay, for the safety of the children. Noel asks Laura if there's anywhere Anna can lie down, because 'Nostra' isn't feeling well, apparently. Laura completely understands what he means by 'Nostra', and tells them to follow her upstairs. They head upstairs, and Charlotte tells us that Laura was also kept with them at the Orphanage, until very recently. Laura just turned eighteen, so as a legal adult, she was finally free to go. She also says that this place was their parents' a long time ago, so it's definitely safe here. By the looks it, Laura redecorated the place... Again... Shelly asks Charlotte what ever happened to her parents, but Charlotte says that she'd rather not talk about it. Shelly apologizes, and Laura comes downstairs. She says that Anna went right to sleep, and tells us that she's running an awful fever.... Charlotte asks Laura if they have any medicine around, and unfortunately, they don't. However, there's a Pokemart in a nearby town that should be selling some. The town is called Spinel Town, and it's not far from here. Charlotte asks me if I can go into town and get some medicine for Anna. She also says that Spinel Town is completely separate from the city, and says that if I go back from the cove and follow the train tracks east, I'll find it. Laura tells me to follow her, and I talk to Shelly. She hopes Anna is okay, and asks me if I remember when she told her that she has a lot of friends. Well, Shelly says that it's not true, but it made her really happy anyway... I talk to Charlotte next, and she says that Laura may have some ticks, but she's' a good person. Charlotte then tells me not to think less of Laura, which I don't anyways. I head upstairs, and Laura shows me my room where I'll be staying. I rest, and then talk to Noel. He tells me that Anna started feeling sick the second Sirius took the pendant from her. I leave the house, and head back to the tracks. I head east, and I wind up in the Chrysolia Forest. As I head deeper in the forest, I notice parts of the train tracks disappearing. Ignoring it, I move onward. I battle some trainers, and notice that some trees appear at parts of the forest I've already been in! Maybe they teleported from another location? Eventually, I go back to where I was, and someone falls from the sky! When I go to wake him up, he isn't responding.... Is he... dead? I head deeper into the forest, and I start noticing some earthquakes, and some bushes disappearing! Eventually, I make it out of the forest, and head into Spinel Town! I guess Charlotte was right when she said to follow the train tracks. I talk to the fellow at the entrance, and he tells me that I have to get out of here. He states that the town is complete disarray. He says that things disappear and reappear somewhere else, it's chaotic. He also says that there have been earthquakes as well! No one has any clue what is going on. Time to find some evidence! I go inside a house, and everything in it disappears except for the girl. I guess it's true, things HAVE been disappearing. But to where? I find the Pokemart, but as soon as I try to go inside, it disappears! I head inside another building, and an old man tells me that Serra retired to a Gym Leader position after her son was born. She didn't feel she could be a model anymore after that... Incidentally, her son is a little odd... All he does is explore the forest or lock himself in his room all day... I talk to a girl, who says that Spinel Town is usually peaceful. After I talk to her, she vanishes in thin air! I head inside a museum, and learn something quite interesting... "Although the city was destroyed within the past decade, this wasn't the first era of destruction the region has ever known... Long ago- much, much longer- an ancient civilization called this ground their home... Little is known about them, but some of their structures still remain- ancient inscriptions, tomes, and such artifacts... These are the things we've gathered here. Collectively, they speak of a certain object, heralded by the culture as the centrepiece of their religion... For all we know, whatever it is could still be buried beneath the rebuilt city!" I learn a little bit more about the history of Reborn. "The ivory beast beget its light... And through a song in darkness, was the first breath breathed into like creatures..." "Born of the heaven-sent stone... Ivory coat with an arching collar..." "An enormous enigmatic stone burning with energy... Descended from the heavens..." "Thought to be the end of the world... But it was only the beginning..." "Four keys of the stone's door... Carved from the blessed crystal cast..." "Winding tunnels forged of stone glowing with power... A massive cathedral constructed around the crater..." What do all of these inscriptions mean? I must find out! I head upstairs, and find a few scientists who can revive fossils for me. I have a Helix Fossil, but I'm saving it for later. Since Serra might be the Gym Leader here, I head to her home. A few more things teleport, and earthquakes occur, but I don't mind. When I get to the door, a young man with black and red hair comes out, and wonders where Luna is. It takes him a second to realize I'm not Luna, and he apologizes. He says that he was supposed to investigate the source of a loud noise. He steps outside, and sees that the Pokemart is on top of Serra's house! He opens the door and tells his mother that the Pokemart fell on top of the house. WAIT A MINUTE!!! This guy is BENNETT! A woman with pink and teal hair comes out, and sees what happened. She says that's probably why they couldn't get the balcony door open. She notices me afterwards, and introduces herself as Serra, the Ice Gym Leader of Reborn! AS for the shop, she says that we might be out of luck. She invites me inside, and also tells Bennett to come inside too. I enter the Volclain Estate, and meet Bennett. He says that he is a lepidopterist, a person who studies butterflies and moths. He says that something about how little insects can go from what they are to something much more is so exciting. For example, according to him, Cascoon have perfect memories. Despite never moving or doing anything, they'll never forget a battle! Then once they evolve, they're remarkably able to exact any form of retaliation for what happened earlier in their life! He says that they truly are small geniuses... Then Serra tells him that's enough and that he may be boring me. He then obeys his mother. I head all over the mansion, and in one of the rooms, I find TM77 Psych Up! I head downstairs, and talk to Serra. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a solution as to how I can reach the Pokemart. As I have noticed, strange things have been happening in this town for the past few days. She may be a Gym Leader, but she can't say she's prepared for everything disappearing, and Pokemarts landing on top of her house. All we can do might be to hope that it decides to reappear somewhere better... She says that I am welcome to stay here. Incidentally, I am a challenger to the Reborn League, and she happens to be the Ice-type Gym Leader. Bennett remarks that Luna is also a Gym Leader, and Serra says that she's not here right now though. Bennett asks me if I have, at any point, seen a young girl with very pretty blonde hair, and a fancy black and white dress, and very beautiful, too. Serra tells him that's enough, and says that she's sure she'll come back if she wants to. Serra explains that Luna is her adopted daughter... Although she's not really sure how, Luna kind of just appeared at their door one day, and claimed that Serra was her mother... However, Serra is quite sure that's not the case. She's only had one child, and he's with us right now. Nonetheless, she insisted that she live with them. Luna's a good girl, but Serra has been trying to find out who her real parents are... However, she's had no luck. And now, Luna's run off again. Everything seems to slip away from Serra... She doesn't know how to go about, finding Luna's real parents... It's not as if they're just going to randomly appear at their doorstep one day... However... The doorbell rings, and someone IS at the door. Serra asks Bennett to get the door, which he does. Few seconds later, he returns with a strange man with white hair and white robes... "Prosperitas, Pax Pacis, Obseqium. Blessings of the Lord Arceus upon your house." He introduces himself as El, a servant of his Lord Arceus. Serra welcomes him to her home. She asks if he's trying to get to the Pokemart too. However, he says that she is incorrect. Instead, He has come looking for his daughter. It's as if he knew she would say what she said earlier! Bennett is scared, because OBVIOUSLY he has a crush on Luna. El is pleased that he knows Luna, and tells us that Luna is a child who has lost the Lord's light. She walks a path of darkness, and as such, she turned her back on El as well. She has denounced him as her father and run away. He has come to reclaim her. Serra is delighted by this news, but unfortunately, Luna ran away from here, too. El asks her if she has any idea where Luna might have gone, but Serra tells him that Luna didn't say anything. She disappeared as quickly as she came... Kind of like everything in this town lately... She asks Bennett if Luna told him anything, and unfortunately, he doesn't know either. El says that he would be most obliged if she would allow him to linger for just a short while... In the meantime, I will get ready for my battle. Serra... Get ready, because I'm not going that easy on you! Current Pokemon Stats Nothing much happened. A few Pokemon leveled up, but not much. 8. Chapter XXXII: The Underground Road To Chrysolia! I head back to the Underground Railnet, and find everyone down there, even Heather! I honestly thought Heather would get taken away by the Doctor. I guess the others rescued her. I talk to Charlotte, and she says that the door's still locked. She asks me if there was a key up in the Yureyu Building somewhere, which I have the key. I talk to Cain, who's trying to get Heather to talk, but she's still as silent as ever. I talk to Shelly, who feels that she's leaving a lot behind in the city, but she can't go back there if the Doctor finds her... Wait, why would the Doctor want her? Oh yeah, she's a fugitive. Noel is trying to calm Anna down, who's thinking that the world is spinning around her. I go up to the door, and unlock it with the Railnet Key. Charlotte is happy that the door is unlocked, and asks everyone if we're still heading to her sister's place in Chrysolia. Shelly doesn't have anywhere else to go, and Anna wants to get there quickly, because she says that Nostra isn't feeling very good... I wonder if she means that she herself isn't feeling good? Noel notices this, and says that Anna is feeling pale. Anna denies this, and says that it's definitely Nostra. She says that Nostra is dizzy and tired. Noel doesn't buy it, and Charlotte says that we need to hurry, and that they're going on ahead. She wants us to meet at the Railnet's exit, and everyone leaves for the exit. I follow them, and find that there's a lot of twists and turns. I meet everyone at the exit, but we're all blocked again. Cain says that Heather still won't speak, and Noel says that Nostra seems fine according to Nomos, but Anna... doesn't, while Anna is denying it. Charlotte is trying to find out how to get through the giant door, and Shelly says that she knows. According to Shelly, when the Underground Railnet was made, they didn't really want people wandering in and out of it, like what we're doing now. So they made gates, like the one in front of us, that would open for trains, but not for people. However, it works on a digital signal, so we don't necessarily have to drive the train itself. It works if there's the front of a train on the same track that connects to where we are now. Unfortunately, the tracks in this place are so disconnected,.. Basically, if we complete a track from a train to this gate, it should open. I head all over the place to find the train. Eventually, I find the train, and another gate too. Let's see if I can try to open both gates. I finally manage to open one of the gates, and find a young man unconscious underground. I wake him up, and he's relieved that he's been found. He thought he would die down here, but looks like I've come to save the day. He says that some time ago, he was walking in Obsidia with his girlfriend, and this huge vine just lashed up through the ground, and pulled him down here. He thought he would die, but not anymore! WAIT A MINUTE!!! I remember talking to his girlfriend about it! He thanks me so much for finding him, and says that he couldn't move past all this debris, but he has to find his girlfriend. He doesn't have much strength, but he says he's capable of finding his way out. He thanks me again, and heads back to the Pokemon Center. I head downstairs to a dark corridor, and find a Dusk Stone. I head back to the maze with all the tracks, and after a while of flipping switches, I finally managed to open the gate that leads us to Chrysolia. Not only that, but I also found a way so I can go to the other gate when I want to, as I can't have both gates opened. Before heading back to the meeting spot, I head to Obsidia's Pokemon Center to make sure the young man made it back okay. Sure enough, he did, and he thanks me again for saving him. He says it's not much, but he rewards me with a Sticker for the Obsidia Department Store! His girlfriend also thanks me for saving him, and after they say thanks, I head back to the Underground Railnet. After I get to the meeting spot, I talk to everyone. Everyone's happy I got the gate open, and Charlotte says that they're all right behind me. We all head outside, and Heather sends out her Salamence and flies away. So much for helping her... Second she sees sunlight, she's gone. Cain and Shelly are a bit annoyed as well, cause they tried to help her. Cain tells us that he's going to still go after her, just until he can make sure she's safe. He says he'll catch up with us later, and leaves. Charlotte says goodbye to Princess, and Noel says that Anna is practically white. Anna still denies that she's sick, and says that it's Nostra who's not feeling well. Charlotte tells us to keep moving so 'Nostra' can rest. She tells the kids to follow her, and Noel remarks that she's only a few years older than them after she leaves. Anna tells the others to get going, and they follow Charlotte. As I follow them, I notice a few earthquakes coming from the mountains. I hope the others are okay... I head inside the mountain, and learn that it is Tanzan Mountain. I find the others near some metal. I guess the metal must be new, because Charlotte has never seen this junk before in the mountain, which isn't a good sign... Another earthquake occurs, and Charlotte tells us to keep moving. As I progress deeper in the mountain, more earthquakes occur. I find a fork in the mountain, and also find Charlotte, who tells me that her sister's home is just through the path she's at. The way through this place is pretty discrete if I'm not looking for it. Makes it a cozy little hideout. Her family's actually used it for years. She tells me that the others already went ahead, and she tells me that she'll follow me. I head outside, and go the right path. I hear more earthquakes, and I find Charlotte. I guess she's been counting flowers, because Laura's been planting flowers again. I guess I took the right path, because it was the only path. I find Charlotte's house, and I go inside. What's with all these earthquakes? Whatever it is, I'm going to find out... Soon... Current Pokemon Stats Not much progress has been made, Gardevoir grew to level 51, so I gave her a Common Candy. 10. Well, it's Season 3, and I decided that I'm gonna take my OWN approach this time. I'm gonna do things my own way, and I'm going to succeed. One way or another.

  11. Well if you didn't know, there's also a different guy who you could battle instead of the Doctor. If you battle Sirius, then Doctor Sigmund will tell you quite a bit of information.
  12. Chapter XII: The Kalos Power Plant Conspiracy! Well, I didn't exactly get to catch a LOT of Pokemon... BUT... I caught my first shiny!!! Out of the blue, I found a Shiny Espurr, and caught it! She MIGHT join the team, she might not. Anyways, On with the story! After a month of doing nothing but wallow in boredom, I continue my quest. After beating the fourth Gym Leader, I set out to Route 13. However, as soon as I get to the gate, I get a Holo Clip from Lysandre. He tells me that he was informed by Professor Sycamore that I can now wield Mega Evolution, which I have been using many times. MANY. He says that is truly wonderful, and says that with Mega Evolution, I can steer my future in a better direction. He says that we can't just cover up old filth with new filth, and he implores me to consider what we need to do to change the world into a new, beautiful world. The Holo Clip ends, and once again, I am speechless by what Lysandre said. Lysandre... What is he trying to do? I head to the gate, and I find out that something's wrong in Lumiose City. Apparently, there is a power outage there! Just as I'm about to head to Route 13, Dexio and Sina are waiting for me. Dexio tells me that they were on their way to the Kalos Power Plant at Professor Sycamore's request. However, the gate connecting Lumiose City to Route 13 has been shut by a mysterious power outage. That's why those two are going to investigate. Sina asks me what comes next after Central Kalos and Coastal Kalos. Dexio tells me that it's Mountain Kalos, and they upgrade my Pokedex again with the Mountain Kalos Pokedex. Sina notices that I look a bit different somehow, and asks if I'm more mature. However, she is only joking, and they leave. Strange rich kids... I head out to Route 13, or Lumiose Badlands, and I can see why it's called Lumiose Badlands. The whole route has no grass, only cold, hard, rock. I find a few small metal huts with dorr, but a pass is needed to access both. Perhaps these are entrances to the Kalos Power Plant? Eventually, I find another one, and I also find a bridge with a Team Flare grunt on it! Perhaps Team Flare is involved with the Kalos Power Plant? I beat the grunt, and he runs away. However, he realizes that he dropped his Power Plant Pass somewhere. He then pretty much tells me where he dropped his pass, and I go and get it. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a Dowsing Machine, but lucky for me, I do, and I don't need one now that he told me where it is! I find the Power Plant Pass, open the door that is past the grunt, and sneak into the Kalos Power Plant. Just what is Team Flare up to this time? I head down a large corridor, and climb stairs that lead me to another room. As soon as I go into the other room, a grunt shows up with a knock knock joke, and seriously wonders who I am. He then states that only authorized personnel are allowed in here, which is hypocritical, considering that Team Flare is also here. I beat the grunt, and he reveals that Team Flare is busy redirecting the power that's supposed to go to Lumiose City. He then threatens me, telling me not to get in their way. I head into the room on my right, and I find all of the staff of the Power Plant trapped in there. However, in that room, I also find the Zap Plate. Perhaps it will be useful one day... I get out of the room, and continue to investigate. I battle the grunt blocking the way to the next room, and I beat her. I then enter a room, and I find that it's huge. When I go to choose a path, I am stopped by a Team Flare grunt. I beat him, but he blocks the right path, so I have no choice but to take the left path. I head around the room, beating grunts in my way. Most of the grunts are women, which may foreshadow on who I'm going to be facing last. Eventually, I defeat all of the grunts, and I'm all the way to the middle of the room. I climb the stairs, and I find a man with white clothes and a Team Flare member who looks different than the grunts, and wears an orange visor. It seems that they're standing in front of a reactor. The man asks the woman how much longer they have to take the energy, and the woman tells him that if he's just interested in the facts, then they already have enough energy to power the device. The man is pleased, and tells her that they should finish up and move out, and says that there's still more work to be done. The woman asks him what he means by other work, and she then notices me, and asks him if he means taking me out. The man notices, and he didn't think anyone remained here after they dealt with the workers. He then battles me, and it turns out that he is a Team Flare Admin. I beat his Houndoom with Grimsley, and the admin tells the woman to deal with me, and she takes great pleasure in doing so. I talk to her, and she introduces herself as Aliana. She is one of Team Flare's Scientists, and she is researching a certain something that I wouldn't seem to understand, according to her. Unfortunately for me, she has been charged with the simple task of my elimination. Who's the higher rank, you, Aliana, or that admin? Team Flare Scientist Aliana sends out Mightyena, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley wipes out Mightyena with Surf, and I win the battle easily. After the battle, Aliana is impressed, and says that she didn't expect me to be so interesting. Surprisngly, she actually hopes she can meet me again... Team Flare then retreat, and the two rich kids show up with scarves. Dexio wears a blue scarf, as opposed to his blue tie, while Sina wears a red scarf, as opposed to her red tie. However, they also wear masks, as Dexio wears a blue mask, and Sina wears a red mask. They're surprised that I chased off Team Flare, and they say that there's always room for more defenders of Kalos. They thank me by healing my Pokemon (Which didn't really need to be healed...) Sina says that me and my Pokemon are the ultimate team, and Dexio tells me not to push myself to hard, and gives me Full Restores. He says that thanks to me, the power is back on in Lumiose City. Now people can pass through the gate connecting Route 13 to Lumiose City again. Sina says that they will be off, and says that they're mysterious people, which I don't buy. She says that she leaves before being left, and she decides. They bid me farewell, and I head back to the room with all of the workers. The construction worker gives me TM43 Flame Charge, the woman gives me a Magnet, and I buy some Fresh Water. After I get thanked, I leave the Kalos Power Plant. I head outside, and find the Flame Plate after hopping some ledges. I then head to the stairs that were blocked before, and I find an extremely tall man that looks like a hobo. He talks about a Flower Pokemon, and says that the Pokemon was given eternal life. After he mutters to himself, he walks off. I head to the gate, and enter Lumiose City. What a strange man... Did something happen to him? No matter, time to head into Lumiose City! Current Pokemon Stats: Let's give a big welcome to Eris the Espurr! She's sassy, somewhat vain, and has a Keen Eye on the boys, if you know what I mean. And her MOVES. That just proves she is the Diva of the group. She is probably going to be one of the main team members, joining Grimsley, Charles, Mr. Muffintops, Blaziken, and Lucas. Bowser and Ridley are there, but not as important. However, Eris may also be switched with Gardevoir and Malamar from time to time, so that's why this team will be rotational. As for other news, most of the team lefveled up to at least 45, with Grimsley leveling up to 48. Most of the team also learned new moves as well, and since Grimsley has Surf now, Lapras will be put in the PC. Greninja Name: Grimsley Level: 48 Moves: Round, Substitute, Surf, Water Shuriken Charizard Name: Charles Level: 45 Moves: Fly, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 45 Moves: Discharge, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Blaziken Name: Blaziken Level: 45 Moves: Hone Claws, Slash, Double Kick, Blaze Kick Lucario Name: Lucas Level: 45 Moves: Power-Up Punch, Swords Dance, Metal Sound, Bone Rush Espurr Name: Eris Level: 11 Moves: Scratch, Leer, Covet, Confusion Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 29 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 26 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Ancient Power, Agility
  13. Chapter XI: Old Man Ramos, The Grass Loving Flower! I head inside the Coumarine Gym, and I find that it's a giant tower, and I have to climb and swing on ropes to reach Ramos, the Gym Leader. The Gym is essentially a garden playground. I guess he made it to prove that we're all little kids compared to him. I talk to the Gym guy, and find that it's a Grass-type Gym. And that means, that it's time to send Charles and Blaziken to do the job. The Gym is filled with Pokemon Rangers, who I beat swift and easy with my two Fire-types. Essentially, my plan in this Gym is to train Charles. because Blaziken has enough training already. Besides, if I wanted to, I can just go to the Battle Chateau to train. Doing this, I go and defeat all of the Pokemon Rangers in the Gym, and then climb to the top. I find Ramos at the top, and find that he has a LOT of books in his room. I switch out Charles for Lucas, because now it's time to train Lucas. I go and talk to Ramos, who flips his gardening scissors, and introduces himself as Ramos. He asks me what I thought of his Gym and calls me a whippersnapper. He asks if I enjoyed the garden playground he made with all the sturdy plants of his. He says that their strength is a sign of his strength as a gardener and a Gym Leader. He asks me if I'm sure I'm up to facing all that, and the battle begins. Oh you know I'm ready for it, Ramos. Let's do this! Ramos sends out Jumpluff while I send out Lucas. I Mega Evolve Lucas, and have him use Swords Dance. He survives an Acrobatics attack, and then uses Power-Up Punch on Jumpluff two times to knock him out. Ramos then sends out Gogoat, who faints immediately from Power-Up Punch. Ramos sends out Weepinbell, who faints from Lucas' Bone Rush shortly, allowing me to win the battle! Ramos gives me a word of advice, and gives me $5,440. He says that if I believe in my Pokemon, they'll believe in me too. He gives me the badge, and calls me sprout. *Trevo got the Plant Badge!* Ramos tells me that if I have a Plant Badge, I can use the HM Fly even when I'm not battling. He also tells me that Pokemon up to level 60 will listen to me, even if I got them from a trade. He also gives me TM86 Grass Knot, and says that the heavier the opponent, the harder it'll fall, and the more it'll hurt. He states that even frail little blades of grass can break through concrete, something he admires greatly. A little door opens, opening the way down. And how do I get down? SLIDING DOWN A SLIDE. Yup, Ramos has truly made a garden playground. Now it's time to teach Charles Fly, and catch 'em all! After that, I'll go see what's wrong with the Kalos Power Plant! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, not much has changed, except Charles grew a few levels and learned Fly. DANG this chapter is short! Greninja Name: Grimsley Level: 39 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Water Shuriken Charizard Name: Charles Level: 40 Moves: Fly, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 37 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Blaziken Name: Blaziken Level: 40 Moves: Hone Claws, Peck, Double Kick, Blaze Kick Lucario Name: Lucas Level: 36 Moves: Power-Up Punch, Swords Dance, Metal Sound, Bone Rush Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 29 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 26 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Ancient Power, Agility
  14. So wait, battling Sirius instead of Sigmund would count towards the "true ending"?
  15. Chapter XXXI: The Mysterious Yureyu Building Conspiracy, And The Missing Children Conspiracy! After taking a deep breath, I open the door to the Yureyu building, and head inside. I find Cain, where he says that the Yureyu building was destroyed in the earthquakes. Cain senses that something is odd from the moment we got in. He says that he's going to follow my lead. He never really did a team-up with me before, and even makes a Senpai joke about it. After that, he just sings the Pokemon Theme Song. YES! My own Bard! We climb to the second floor, where there's nobody on. We then head to the third floor, and find a horde of Team Meteor grunts! We battle through the swarm of grunts, and some even complain about Amaria. One said he even had nightmares about Lapras. One of the grunts says that it's ADORABLE how everyone keeps thinking that earthquakes destroyed Yureyu... which is an odd thing to say... Maybe earthquakes WASN'T the demise of Yureyu. Maybe a bigger threat is present. They reveal that they've had Yureyu under their thumbs for quite some time. After beating the grunts, I open the gate with the computer. Me and Cain then head to the fourth floor, where we find Shelly under the grasp of two Meteor grunts. When we show up, one of the grunts threatens that if we take another step closer, they'll cut her throat. Shelly gets scared, and the grunt tells us to just keep moving. Cain says that they wouldn't hurt her, but the grunt says that orders come from the boss. If anyone tries to interfere, they kill her. Cain gets worried, and Shelly tells us to go on and just forget about her. She says that it doesn't matter what happens to her. Looks like we have to move on. We head to the fifth floor, and find Charlotte dealing with two grunts. She's glad that we're finally here, and Cain says that we ran into other issues. That's what she said. The grunt tells us to back away, or they'll slit her throat. Charlotte turns back to the grunts, and just shames them. The grunts are actually bluffing, because that's what their boss wanted them to say. Charlotte asks if their boss is a guy named Sirius, and tells them to set it aside for now. She tells them to meet her friends, me and Princess Cain, while she introduces us to Simon and Tara, who I've met already. Tara says that I beat them, and they're still mad about that. Cain asks if they're the ones that started it, but is shocked to see that Charlotte is FRIENDS with Team Meteor. She states that they're people too, and that they just happen to be on a different side from us... And her... She says that it sure beats being tied up. Simon says that it's not like they can just let her go. Charlotte then gives us the honor of beating them in a battle... Which we beat them easily. Tara tells Charlotte to tell her friends to stop being good, but she tells them why don't they stop being bad. Cain even tries to get them to quit Team Meteor too. Simon says that he cannot, because he says that when their work is done, they will have new lives- better ones. Tara says that Team Meteor is going to rebuild the world! By throwing in with them now, they earn a place at the top later! Cain asks what about this world, but Simon says that this world will be erased. Vanished. Gone. They are well aware that what they are doing is wrong, but once they succeed, all this pain will never have existed. "End justifies the means." Tara agrees with Charlotte, and Charlotte says that's cool, and she leaves. They give her a look, but she tells them that it's not like they can stop her. She tells us that Shelly was supposed to be on the floor below, and asks if we did not rescue her. Cain tells her that we couldn't get close to her, otherwise they'd hurt her. She calls this a bluff, and heads downstairs. "We're not evil. We're just looking out for ourselves. Although people may be hurt, or even die, when we create the world, their suffering will be erased. Believe in us, and we will lead you to divinity." "The day when Team Meteor rebuilds is coming closer and closer. Even if we lose now, it won't matter! Soon, the world can be transformed into a true paradise!" We head back downstairs, and the grunt gives us the threat again. Charlotte tells them to do it, which shocks Cain. She tells them to kill her, see if she cares. Shelly is shocked at what Charlotte is saying. Charlotte tells them that Shelly isn't even her sister, and that she's only here to flip the switch to get upstairs. The grunt tries to defend himself, saying that they really will kill her. However, this doesn't even affect Charlotte at all, and she tells them to kill her. The grunt tries to say something, but Charlotte just flips the switch, and opens the gate on the fifth floor, and rushes to get Shelly while the two are frozen in shock, while me and Cain rush in to battle the grunts. After we beat the grunts, Shelly thought that Charlotte really wanted her dead, but it was just an act to save her. Besides, She helped Charlotte escape from the Orphanage. She tells Shelly that you can make someone lose control by making them believe they already don't have any. She tells her that she doesn't want her hurt. Charlotte tells us to head further, because Heather and the twins are further up. We head up to the sixth floor, where we find Noel locked up in a cage. Charlotte says that they're REALLY CLASSY for locking the others up in cages. She wonders why cages are in a corporate building in the first place. One of the Meteor Knights states that this place hasn't been a corporate building for a long time. What we believed: Years ago, Yureyu was the centrepiece of Reborn's economy. Then when the earthquakes started, this place was destroyed, the company broke. We've been deceived... The Truth: Eathquakes didn't destroy Yureyu- Team Meteor did! They infiltrated the company slowly over time, and then shut them down from the inside out. But it was the closure of Yureyu's Power Plant that lead to the city's downfall, which means that Team Meteor destroyed Reborn City the first time! Team Meteor was set to destroy Reborn City again by destroying Julia's Neo-Circuit Power Plant. However, SOMEONE got in the way, and here I am again. They try to get their revenge by battling me. After we beat the two Meteor Knights, they say that even if we do as we please, it won't make a difference. Noel says that they took Anna and Heather upstairs. He also says that the Doctor and that strange man are up there too. Charlotte is confident that me and Princess Cain will save the day. Cain is surprised that she's sticking with that name for him, and she says that he earned it. Noel says that they also took something from Anna. He says that they took her Amethyst Pendant, which is very important to her. He says that it was a gift from their real father. When they were left at the orphanage, all they had was Nomos, Nostra, and that pendant. Charlotte asks why Team Meteor would want something like that, but disregards it as she tries to open the cage. She tells us to deal with the Doctor and Team Meteor's Commander. Me and Cain take a deep breath, and head upstairs. When we head upstairs, we find Dr. Sigmund and Heather, who's being held by Electivire. Sigmund was expecting our return, and walks up to us as he confesses that it was fortunate that Sirius of Team Meteor came to him with the proposal that he did. Sirius had the means to capture the Doctor's fugitives, and for payment, he need only to remove from Heather a single object: a Ruby Ring. At Sirius's behest, the Doctor is holding her captive here for questioning later. He doubts that will be fruitful though, given that she has become withdrawn to the point of silence. Cain asks him whose fault THAT is, and says that after what he did to her, she may not even be able to speak at all! Sigmund states that loss of speech is not among the effects of electroconvulsive therapy, and says that she hasn't lost the ability to speak. Only her will. Yet, we present with such animosity. He asks us if we intend to fight him to reclaim her. No... I won't fight you, Doctor... Just not yet... I have someone else to deal with. Cain is surprised at my choice, and Sigmund says that he won't stop us from proceeding onward. He reveals that he may have invested himself in Team Meteor, but he has no regard for their malevolent actions. Yet, he finds himself bound to their service for a different reason entirely- strictly a matter of his personal curiosity... He tells us that there's a name he hears thrown among their officers. It 's a name he used to know, but it cannot possibly be... He then stops, and says that he was speaking too much. He says that for this time only, he will turn away. I try to talk to him again, and he says that he hasn't the mind to contest a battle currently, as he is too enveloped in his theory, impossible as it may be... He then tells us not to expect the same favor in the future. We head upstairs, and find Anna and the black-coated man who is finally known as Sirius. Sirius reveals that they only needed to ensnare Ruby, and they caught Amethyst, too. Anna begs him to give back the Amethyst Pendant, because it is the only thing she has left of her father... Sirius is surprised, because he actually KNEW her father, and states that her father always was a fool. Anna is horrified that he knows her father, and Sirius just laughs. Cain and I show up, and Cain tries asking Sirius if he can give the Amethyst Pendant back to Anna. Anna is relieved we're here to save the day. Sirius asks us if the Doctor failed to detain us, but really, the Doctor just let us go. Sirius states that he's an old fool, but then says that the task is left to him alone, then. Anna's Amethyst Pendant... and Heather's Ruby Ring... Sirius asks us if we have any inkling of their power, and says that he will NOT relinquish such items for mere sentimalities. If we want them, we're going to have to claim them ourselves. I may have mercy for ZEL and Taka, but I have NO mercy for you. You're going DOWN, Sirius! Team Meteor Admin Sirius sends out Hitmontop and Chandelure, while me and Cain send out Gardevoir and Nidoking. Gardevoir tries to use Psychic on Hitmontop, but only flinches from Hitmontop's Fake Out. Chandelure gives Nidoking a hard time with a Psychic attack of his own. Hitmontop then lands a Sucker Punch on Nidoking, nearly knocking him out, but I save him by knocking out Hitmontop with Gardevoir's Psychic. Sirius sends out Manectric, and Cain sends out Samurott after Nidoking gets knocked out. Manectric nearly gets knocked out from a barrage of attacks, but gets healed by one of Sirius' Hyper Potions. Meanwhile, Gardevoir gets knocked out by Chandelure's Shadow Ball, so I switch, and send out Corey. Sirius heals Chandelure, and Corey attacks Chandelure with Sucker Punch, which hits, thanks to the bug in Episode X. Chandelure finally gets knocked out after Samurott hits him with Razor Shell. Sirius sends out Honchkrow, while Corey knocks out Manectric with Sucker Punch. Cain switches Samurott out for Venomoth, Sirius sends out Probopass, and Honchkrow knocks out Corey with Brave Bird. I send out Hydra, who tries to use Dragon Dance, but gets knocked out from Honchkrow's critical hit Brave Bird. I send out Charles, who avoids Probopass' Rock Slide, but hits Venomoth. Cain switches out Venomoth and puts Haunter in its place, while Charles knocks out Honchkrow with Dragon Rage. Sirius sends out Seviper, and Charles and Haunter get hit from Probopass' Rock Slide. Haunter tries to get Probopass asleep with Hypnosis, but a Lum Berry wakes Probopass up. Seviper strikes Haunter with Night Slash, knocking Haunter out. Cain sends Samurott out again, and Charles avoids Rock Slide from Probopass. However, after hitting Seviper with Flamethrower, Charles gets knocked out from Seviper's Aqua Tail. I send out Persian, and hit Seviper with Fake Out, while Samurott knocks out Probopass with Revenge. Since Seviper is all that's left, me and Cain gang up on Seviper with Cut and Razor Shell, knocking Seviper down to the ground. Sirius then tells us that we have no clue what we're fighting for or against. At least we won! Sirius gets fed up with us, and says that he's through with these games. He has what he wanted, so he'll be leaving now. He and the rest of Team Meteor retreat, and we go over to Anna and Cain asks if she's okay. Anna says that she's fine, but Sirius has her pendant... Her father's pendant... She doesn't even know her father, and Sirius does? This is all so strange... Anna declares that she's going after him, but Cain tries to calm her down by assuring her that we will be seeing Sirius again, and when we do, we can take back the pendant AND the ring. He also tells her that we don't even know where he went now. All that matters is the children's safety. Anna sobs, and says that Sirius took something... that's part of her soul... Cain calms her down, and they leave. After they leave, I notice a key at the bottom right corner of the room, which is actually the Railnet Key! Now we can find a way out of here, and find safety! As I climb downstairs, the whole building is empty. Team Meteor is officially gone, but they'll probably be back. I leave the mysterious building what was once Yureyu, and head back to the Underground Railnet. Sirius... Just what do you plan to do with those items? How do you know Noel and Anna's Father? Doctor... Why do you still work with Team Meteor? Who is this officer Team Meteor speaks of? I need answers, and I WILL find them! Current Pokemon Stats Not much progress has been made, well except for Gardevoir. I'll level up the other Pokemon later. 16. Chapter XXX: Mr. Bigglesworth The Garbodor, And Cain's Past! As I get out of the Wasteland Gym, I find another machine, and set it to red. When I do, I find that the door next to the other tall building is open too. I enter the building to find stairs, which lead to a cavern-like area. I follow the trail until I find another room which has stairs. I climb the stairs, follow the trail, and exit the cave. I find myself on a huge mountain, and slide down the steel bar. I slide down more steel bars, and find another cave. I follow the trail, which leads to another room. When I follow the trail, I find a Shiny Zubat, and catch it. I climb down the stairs, and find another cave. But before I go to the cave, I read the sign, which says these words: "So dying souls offer the keys to your gain, Let not them suffer to the poison in vain." What does this mean...? I enter the cave, and find that it's the Byxbysion Grotto. I find two more machines, and set them to red, which the bookcase reveals a secret passage. I find a room with many different caves, so I choose the one on the left first. I find a small tower, with a hollow hole in it. I put the Odd Keystone in it, and I fight a Spiritomb! I catch the Spiritomb, and head into the next room. All I find is a locked gate and a mining rock. Time to head into the next room. I head into the last room, and I find a huge Garbodor. He's silent at first, but then... He speaks. HE ACTUALLY TALKS!!! He says that his name is Mr. Bigglesworth, and he tells me to love him. He then lunges at me with his two Trubbish, and attacks me! He sends his two Trubbish after me, and I send out Gardevoir and Corey. Gardevoir knocks out the female Trubbish, while Corey tries to knock out the male one. Then, Mr. Biggles himself comes out. The male Trubbish Self-destructs itself, and faints. Mr. Biggles isn't playing here, because he's level 60! Corey blows a Sucker Punch to him, while Gardevoir knocks him out with a critical hit Psychic! All Mr. Biggles wanted was a hug... Okay... Was Mr. Bigglesworth even necessary to put in? After Mr. Bigglesworth sobs all the way home, I find all the hidden items from everything. I then leave, and head back to the hill where I found Misdreavus. I find another passage way, and find a cave. I find a boulder, which I now move with Strength to a hole, where it crushes some rocks. Now I can access the other room! I enter the other room, and I find myself in a hidden dimension. I find a tomb, and I find this place too creepy, so I'm out. I'll be back for that later. Right now, I have to save some kids. I go back to the tall building, and I find Kiki's grave GONE. That grave... Was it hers? That will be solved another day. I head to Apophyll, and head back to the cave with the boulder. I move it, and climb the ladder, only to find another gate. I head back to the Obsidia Ward, where I catch a then to the Opal Ward, where I battle a few Trainers. I head to the Grand Hall, where I battle a few more trainers. After resting my Pokemon for a bit, I finally head to the Underground Railnet, where I find Cain. Cain sees that I got the badge, and assumes that they told me how he ran away, which is correct. He reveals that he ran away because he needed to get away from his mom. She was upset by some of his... choices... By who he has... fun with... However, he says that there's nothing wrong with what he does, and that she's just living in the past. So he left. He says that it's because of that that he knows what it's like to be out on your own. "Freedom's kinda a scary thing, especially when you're young." That's why he's been so set on trying to get through and help Heather... He realizes that he's yapping too much, and says that I can get the rubble out of the way. I start to move the rubble out of the way, and I find myself at the door where Team Meteor took the kids. When I go through the door, the only way in, is to climb the stairs. Cain shows up, and climbs the stairs. So do I. I go through the door, and find myself outside in the North Obsidia Ward. The only building I can reach... is the Yureyu Corporate Headquarters... Everyone... Please be okay... Current Pokemon Stats Well, I had to drop the levels of my team in order for them to obey. I still managed to beat Aya, so that's good. Charles learned a new move too. 17. Chapter XXIX: The Poisonous, Spooky Byxbysion Wasteland, Cal's Confession, The Return Of Fern, And Aya, The New Poison Gym Leader! Just before I sailed back to the Coral Ward, I found a cave on the edge of Apophyll Beach. I find a Helix Fossil in one of the rocks, and I find TM20 Safeguard. I try to move the rock, however I realize I still need the badge to use Strength. I decide to head back to the Coral Ward. As soon as I sail back to the Coral Ward, I find it in fog. I switch out my troll team to my main team, and head up to the South Obsidia Ward. I find Cain next to the Byxbysion Gate. Cain says that the reason why he kept stalling me was because he doesn't really like people meeting his family. After all, they kicked him out. He says that if I battle him one more time, he'll give me the key. Cain, this better be worth the wait... I need to move! Cain sends out Venomoth, while I send out Hydra. Hydra builds up his speed and attack with Dragon Dance, then throws a few Ice Fangs at Venomoth until it faints. However, Cain saves himself with a Hyper Potion, but Venomoth falls from a critical hit Ice Fang. Cain sends out Nidoking, who faints from Hydra's Aqua Tail. Cain sends out Samurott, who wounds Hydra with a critical hit Night Slash. Cain gives Samurott a Hyper Potion after Hydra Bites Samurott. Samurott flinches from another Bite, and falls from one more. Cain sends out Haunter, who Hydra just knocks out instantly with Bite. Cain sends out Muk. Hydra starts to disobey orders, and gets knocked out from Muk's Sludge Bomb. I send out Corey, who defeats Muk with Sucker Punch. Looks like Cain is defeated! After accepting defeat, Cain reluctantly opens the Byxbysion Gate. He decides to leave the gate open, because I might not be the only one challenging.... I completely forgot about Fern, didn't I? Cain says that he's going to go hide in some dark corner... He jokes about this, and says that he'll be waiting for me at the Railnet once I have my badge. He wishes me luck, and leaves. I cross the gate, and enter Byxbision. Time to go into the Byxbysion Wasteland! I head to the Wasteland, and I find that it is what it is. A lonely, desolate Wasteland. I find two graves. They are the graves of Corey and Elena Molinar. Corey... Which grave is Corey's? The one here, or the one from the Beryl Graveyard? If it's this one, then Molinar must be his last name, and Elinor must be his wife. I climb over debris and find a sign that says Beryl Ward Gym... Perhaps this is the old Beryl Ward? I head deeper, and slide down a steel bar. I find another grave, and find that it's Kiki Mikael Argall's grave. That's gotta be Kiki! I climb the building, and I find a Misdreavus! I run back to the Pokemon Center in the Obsidia Ward to put a Pokemon back, and on the way, I find Cal. He tells me to hear him out from before. He never meant for this to happen. Kiki never would have... He tells me that he didn't go to Apophyll to infiltrate for Team Meteor. He joined because he wanted to change. And he did change. But Team Meteor had other plans, and they wanted to use him being there, so they directed him to set up the PULSE to destroy the Academy... All of us, including Kiki tried to stop it... But he had sabotaged the machine in the first place. He didn't want anyone to get hurt, so he secretly broke the PULSE when he installed it. Kiki didn't have to die. He apologizes again, and tells me to believe him. He doesn't expect anyone at Apophyll to listen to him though, especially Victoria... So he's going to make himself scarce. Team Meteor will be after him too, now that they know he betrayed them. He then says goodbye. Cal... I'm worried about that guy... I hope Victoria forgives him... I head back to the Wasteland, and find Misdreavus, who vanishes when I try to catch it! I guess it wants to play hide and seek. I continue onward, and find machines that are similar to the ones from Corey's Gym. However, these don't make people crazy. I set it to red, and I find a cave. However, I can't go deeper, so I leave. I find a ledge, and jump off it. I set another machine to red, and head back to the railroads, where I find a computer, in which I somehow override to unlock the door to a tall building. I enter the tall building, and find an old man that tells me that Byxbysion wasn't always a Wasteland. However, trash kept reappearing overnight. It seems something's teleporting the trash there... But what? I head upstairs, and slide down the steel bar. I cross the grass, and slide down the steel bar on the right. I head up some stairs, and find another machine. I switch it so that it's red, and I find the Wasteland Hideout. Maybe Aya's here? I enter the Hideout, and find a girl with purple hair. She invites me inside, and tells me to go into the living room, but she says that she should get used to this, because it's also a Gym. She asks me if I'm here for a League Challenge, which I reply yes. However, The woman in front of me is not Aya. Aya is her daughter. The woman in front of me is Lana. She yells at Aya, and says that she has another visitor. Aya yells back, and says that she's a little busy right now. I guess today is her first day on the job, because she's in a battle with a different Trainer. Lana tells me that I can stay and watch if I like. She also tells me that next to the door is a machine that I can use to heal my Pokemon. As soon as they found out Aya was the new Gym Leader, a bunch of guys from the Grand Hall came and installed it since there isn't a real Pokemon Center. Also installed the whole arena. I head to the other room, and find that Aya lost against the challenger. He shows himself, and it's none other than Fern. GREAT... First, I had to deal with a sadistic evil jerk, and now I have to deal with an annoying pest! Can this night get any worse? Fern says that Aya's pretty easy to beat, and even calls her a noob right in front of her! However, Aya snaps at him, and says that she beat him once before. It seems Fern learned his mistakes of using a Grass team on a Poison Gym Leader. Fern explains how he made the switch, and it was easy from there. Aya walks away for a bit, and Fern calls us both noobs. Lana yells at Aya again, saying that she has another visitor. Aya yells back, and Fern says that he can't blame them for wanting a free badge. Aya tells him to shut up, and to leave her alone. A boy with red hair shows up, and asks if this is a bad time to show up. Fern apparently knows who he is, and he snaps at him, asking him what's he doing here. Fern replies that he's sweeping scrubs, and asks how he's doing. The new guy heard that there was a new Gym Leader, so he figured he'd come down and welcome her to the club. He then walks up to Aya, and asks if she's Aya. Aya replies that she is, and he introduces himself as Hardy, Reborn's Rock Leader. He thought he'd give her a warm welcome, but... looks like she already got a sour welcome from Fern. Fern snaps back at him, telling him to keep his snide comments to himself. Aya asks if the two know each other, and Hardy says that he had the misfortune of being in the same class as Fern in the Onyx Trainer's School. Fern defends that Hardy's just jealous that he was the top dog and Hardy was just another loser. Hardy snidely remarks to Fern to keep telling it to himself. Fern also reveals that their sisters used to be close friends, so they happened to get dragged along to places together a bit. Hardy tells him that's all in the past. Aya says that they can keep chitchatting as she goes to heal her Pokemon with the machine in the other room. As soon as she leaves, Fern asks me if I'm going to fight Aya already. He says that she's a total pushover. He says that it'd be a shame if I came down here without one good battle... Oh boy... I'm about to fight this nerd, am I? Sigh... Step aside, square. Let the REAL hotshot show you how it's done! Fern sends out Ferrothorn, while I send out Charles. Ferrothorn gets wiped out instantly from a Flame Burst, and Fern sends out a new Pokemon: Krokorok. Of course the Swag Jockey would have a Pokemon like that. I switch out into Hydra, and have Hydra use Dragon Dance and Aqua Tail. Luckily it knocks out Krokorok in one hit. Fern sends out Roserade. Now Hydra decides to disobey my orders. Eventually Hydra faints, leaving me to send out Charles, who burns Roserade with a critical hit Flame Burst. Fern sends out Scyther, who Charles just obliterates with Flame Burst. Fern sends out Serperior, and despite Serperior paralyzing Charles with Glare, Charles manages to wipe out Serperior with Flame Burst, and win the battle! Fern says that he LET me win, but that's a lie. Hardy remarks that seeing Fern get beat is worth the trip out here itself. Fern still believes that he went easy on me, and says that he wouldn't want to make anyone cry. Aya creeps up behind me, and asks me if I'm ready to battle. She then goes up to her spot, and Fern says that he wants to see this. Hardy says that he'll referee the match. Both Hardy and Fern wish me luck, as I heal my Pokemon and get ready to battle. I take my place, and Fern's thinking of who he wants to lose more. Aya asks if he hates everybody by default, which he replies with a smug on his face, "Nah, just you". Hardy gets mad, and tells him to lay off of her. Aya tells Hardy that it's perfectly fine, because Fern's right. She says that she's not a good person, and that she shouldn't even be doing this. Hardy gives her a little pep talk, telling her to chin up. He even says that she's going to rock this fight. Aya says that she'd be better off if everybody just left her alone. Hardy says that we'll be going on in a 6 on 6 DOUBLE battle! Aya says that she doesn't want to do this, while Hardy goes on with the rules. Then the battle begins... Aya, you'll do fine. I know you will. Hell, you'll probably even beat me. Wasteland Punk Aya sends out Tentacruel and Muk, while I send out Gardevoir and Corey. They both gang up on Tentacruel and knock it out. When Aya sends out Nidoqueen, I call Corey back and send out Hydra. I have Gardevoir and Hydra build up their stats while Muk and Nidoqueen gang up on Hydra. I do a neat little trick where I can heal Hydra, and still attack with both of my Pokemon. Hydra knocks out Nidoqueen with Dragon Dance, while Gardevoir knocks out Muk with a critical hit Psychic. Aya sends out Gengar and Drapion. Hydra tries to knock out Drapion, but unfortunately, it fails, as Gengar and Drapion gang up on poor Gardevoir, knocking her out. I send out Arc, but unfortunately, Aya uses a Hyper Potion on Drapion, but luckily Arc knocks out Gengar in one hit. When Aya sends out Seviper, Hydra manages to knock out Drapion. Unfortunately, Seviper manages to knock out both Arc and Hydra using Sludge Wave. WITH CRITICAL HITS... I send out Charles and Persian, and have Persian use Fake Out on Seviper, while Charles burns her alive with Flamethrower. Aya gives a Hyper Potion to Seviper in order to keep the battle going, but Persian and Charles just Cut and Burn Seviper to the ground, letting me win the battle! Aya is surprisingly glad she lost, because that means that she doesn't have to see any of us ever again. Fern says that he would have preferred it if I had bombed after all. He then leaves with a smug grin on his face. Hardy tells Aya not to take a couple losses too hard, and tells her that she put up a solid fight. I just rocked a little harder, and that's all there is to it. Aya replies that she doesn't care. Hardy walks up to her and tries to cheer her up some more, but she just snaps at him. She says that she just doesn't care, and that she never wanted any of this. She says that it was never her job in the first place, and that it was her 'baby' brother Cain's job in the first place. She asks me if I remember Cain, and I walk up to her and say yes. She asks if he said anything about the family, and asks if he hates them. Hardy asks why he would hate her, and she replies that she's just not a good person. She says that Cain hasn't talked to any of them since he ran away. One day, he just up-and-left. Cain didn't even say goodbye to them either, he just left. In reality, CAIN was the one who was supposed to take over the Poison Gym. He disappeared completely, and didn't even take his Pokemon with him. She's stuck doing his job, and their mom won't even talk about him. Aya says that she's too much of a failure, but then Hardy tries to calm her down. Hardy then says that if she wants, he can stay around and help the family out with some stuff. Aya asks him why, and she says that she should just be alone. Hardy tells her that what she should do is give me my badge, and then him and her will get stuff worked out. Aya then calms down for a bit, and walks up to me to give me the badge. Aya gives me the Venom/Blight Badge, which means that Pokemon up to level 50 will listen to me now. Not only that, but I can FINALLY use the HM Strength outside of battle. She also gives me TM34 Sludge Wave. She then backs away, and says that I can go now, and Hardy says that he'll see me later. He says that his Rock Gym is up in Agate City. I head outside, and Lana remarks that Fern is one rude kid. I then leave for the Byxbysion Wasteland. Now it's time for some unfinished business in the Byxbysion Wasteland! Current Pokemon Stats Well, I had to drop the levels of my team in order for them to obey. 18. I know. I posted it quickly because I was hoping not to lose my work from any browser crashes. XD
  19. Chapter X: The Aquatic Azure Bay, And The Peaceful Coumarine City! I head to Route 12, or Fourrage Road, and I find that it's not blocked off anymore. I talk to the Pokemon Breeder next to the sign, and he tells me that he has a Lapras who saved his life from drowning. However, he can't afford to travel around and show it the wide world beyond Route 12. He notices my Rumble Badge, and asks me if I could have Lapras instead. I take the Lapras, and name it Deliverance in honor of Amaria's Lapras. He then releases Lapras as he hands it to me. I teach Lapras Surf, and surf across to the other side. I battle some Trainers along the way, until I reach a farm of Skiddos. I go inside the house, where I get TM45 Attract from a young girl. I then head inside the Skiddo farm, and ride on a Skiddo, which is freakishly fast! I battle the rest of the Trainers on Route 12 until it's time to leave Skiddo behind. I surf on Lapras, until I find Azure Bay, and then I battle the Trainers that are there. After I beat the trainers, I surf until I find a beach with an old man on it. He asks me if I have a Mega Ring, because he has a Mega Stone that is reacting to it. He then gives it to me, and says that I'm better off having it than he is. The Mega Stone is an Ampharosite, which allows Ampharos to Mega Evolve. I battle the rest of the people there, and sail back to Route 12, where I enter Coumarine City. As soon as I enter Coumarine City, I get a Holo Clip from Serena. She says that she challenges me to a battle right in front of the Gym! She tells me to prepare myself, and the Holo Clip ends. I find a fisherman who gives me a Good Rod. I go on a hill, and a girl gives me TM63 Embargo for guessing a TM right. I then head to the Coumarine Hotel, and I get the Lucky Egg from a woman (Finally!) I then head upstairs, and guess who I find? Surprisingly, I do not find Mr. Bonding, but the Game Freak Director! I then head to the Coumarine Monorail Station, and find Professor Sycamore and Diantha waiting for me! Professor Sycamore congratulates me for finally obtaining everything I need for Mega Evolution. A Mega Stone for the Pokemon, a Mega Ring for the Trainer, and a strong bond with Pokemon. Diantha is surprised by the last part, but however, it is only a hypothesis. However, the Professor thinks that the bond between Pokemon and Trainer is the key to this new Evolution. However, he asks questions about Mega Evolution, and says that there's still so much to learn. Diantha asks if Mega Evolution has anything to do with Kalos's Legendary Pokemon, as they are also exclusive in the Kalos region. Professor Sycamore then realizes that he came to give me HM02 Fly (FINALLY!) He tells me to use it to fly to any Pokemon Center I've already been to. He then bids me and Diantha farewell. Diantha then talks to me about her acting, and how she tries to form a bond between herself and her character. She then realizes she's babbling, and tells me that the next time we meet, we should battle. She then leaves too. However, just before I board the Monorail Train, I learn that Lumoise City hasn't been getting enough power from the Kalos Power Plant. Odd... I head to the Pokemon Center after riding the Monorail Train, and find Mr. Bonding HERE. He's in a corner, facing the wall, doing who knows what. After 'Bonding' with me, he leaves. In this city, there are a lot of Unova references, from Dr. Fennel, to sad, sad, memory music from Black and White, Black and White 2. I head to the front of the Coumarine Gym, and Serena pops up from behind me! The reason why she wants to battle me is because she wants to see what I can do with Mega Evolution. Girl, I'll show you what Mega Evolution is all about... Serena sends out Meowstic, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley knocks out Meowstic after a few Water Pulses. Serena sends out Quilladin, while I send out Blaziken, who I Mega Evolve, and beat the crap out of Quilladin with Blaze Kick, and Quilladin burns to death. Serena sends out Absol, who I obliterate with Blaziken's Blaze Kick. Once again, Serena gets whooped. Serena is probably getting furious and annoyed by now, cause I keep beating her. Every. Single. Time. She wishes me luck, and leaves. With that said, I heal my Pokemon, and enter the Coumarine Gym... What type of Gym Leader will I face next? Current Pokemon Stats: Well, not much has changed, except for the fact that a new member has joined us. Say hello to Deliverance! Oh, and also the others leveled up a bit, nothing special. 20. Chapter IX: Mega Evolution Successor Korrina, And The Key To Mega Evolution! As soon as I leave for Shalour City, Korrina shows up with her two Lucarios. She remembers me from Route 5, and Lucario sounds like he wants to battle with me. Korrina asks if I would like to battle with her, and I reply yes. She asks me which one has a shine to me, and the battle begins. The one on your right is the Lucario that likes me. Let's rumble! Korrina sends out Lucario while I send out Charles. I have Charles use Ember, which critical hits Lucario, and Lucario gets knocked down after one more hit from Ember. I then finish off the other Lucario with Ember and Dragon Rage from Charles. Korrina is defeated! Korrina sees why Lucario likes me so much, and asks me if I remember that she's the Gym Leader in Shalour City. Once I get past the cave beyond this gate, I'll be able to challenge her! I head to Route 11, or Miroir Way, and battle a few trainers. I then find some strange rocks in the ground, but ignore them. As I head up the stairs, I get a Holo Clip from Professor Sycamore. He's surprised I'm almost at Shalour City already, and says that he wants to tell me about a person in Shalour who knows a great deal about Mega Evolution. People call him the Mega Evolution guru. Professor Sycamore then tells me that he's already told everyone else about him, so if I have a second, I should give him a visit. The Holo Clip then ends. I battle the last two trainers, and enter the cave. I enter Reflection Cave, and find signs that won't allow me to use my Bicycle or my Roller Skates. I battle some trainers, and find some items. I then find some stairs, which take me deeper. I find a nice lady who heals my Pokemon for me, and so I can continue my quest. After battling some trainers, I find Tierno, who gives me TM70 Flash. I head onward, beating the rest of the trainers on this floor, then head upstairs. I find an exit, but decide to get the items and stuff over with in this long cave. I find TM74 Gyro Ball in a hidden room, and then after I find everything, I go out of the horribly long cave. Seriously, this cave was just about as hard as Chargestone Cave in Pokemon Black and Black 2! I finally make it into Shalour City, and I head into the Pokemon Center to heal my Pokemon. Guess who I find? That's right. Mr. FRICKING BONDING. He's in a corner, near the changing room, FACING A WALL. JUST WHAT KIND OF PERSON MADE THIS GUY?! He gives me an O-Power, and leaves. I get a few items from the townspeople, and head to the steps. All of a sudden, Tierno and Trevor show up. Where was Trevor in Reflection Cave?! He does another Pokedex battle, and loses. Again. They remind me to say hello to the Mega Evolution Guru. Tierno forgets for a minute, but Trevor reminds him. Trevor says that the Mega Evolution Guru lives in the Tower of Mastery, a high tower that holds the secret to Mega Evolution. I head to Korrina's Gym to challenge her, but the Gym guy says that she's at the Tower of Mastery. I head to the beach-like area, and Tierno shows up. I assume he's going to show me a new dance, but he shows me an stone that may relate to Mega Evolution. In fact, he even GIVES the Intriguing Stone to me for being a good friend! He then goes to get Trevor, and I head inside the Tower of Mastery. When I get inside, I find a large, majestic statue of a Lucario in a completely different form. Could this be Mega Lucario? I find a door at the bottom of it, and enter it, where I find Korrina with the Mega Evolution guru. He introduces himself, and says that he's an acquaintance of Professor Sycamore. He's surprised that there's only one of us, but Trevor and Tierno show up. They all introduced themselves, and the Mega Evolution Guru notices the Intriguing Stone I have. I honestly say that it was given to me. However, the Intriguing Stone is just a rock, he says. He then notices the hubbub, and leaves. Korrina says that Lucario is happy to see me, and we should go see what's going on too. However, it seems that Serena and Shauna are finally here. Everyone rejoices in their reunion, and Tierno asks who Korrina is. The Mega Evolution Guru reveals that Korrina is his granddaughter. Since everyone is here, he finally explains Mega Evolution to us. Mega Evolution is a new kind of Evolution that transcends all other Evolution. It is a transformation of Pokemon that were thought to be unable to evolve any further. It is a whole new level of power! Not all Pokemon have a Mega Evolution. Mega Evolution differs from Evolution because it ends after a certain amount of time. In other words, it is a temporary Evolution. It requires special items, and a strong bond between Pokemon and Trainer. To make Mega Evolution work, two items are required: a Mega Stone for the Pokemon, and the Mega Ring, which has a mysterious stone set in it, for the Trainer. Since Professor Sycamore entrusted all of us with a Pokedex, he would like to give these items to all of us... He'd like to share them with us, but... he only has one Mega Ring at the moment... It's a very precious item, and that's why his research isn't getting anywhere... He wants all of us to decide among ourselves which one of us will be the one who challenges the Mega Evolution Successor. Tierno automatically passes, and surprisingly Shauna passes. Trevor wants to complete the Pokedex first, so he passes. However, Serena still goes strong for the Mega Ring. She decides to battle me for it, and to see who Vaniville Town's best Trainer really is. Her goal is clear: To master Mega Evolution and set herself apart from other Trainers. She'll also do it for her Pokemon. She tells me that me and my Pokemon are stronger... However, she will not lose, no... She's going to win! No... You will fall... Just like the others! I will not lose... I will be victorious! Serena sends out Meowstic while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley fires a barrage of attacks, and eventually knocks out Meowstic in a few turns. Serena sends out Quilladin, but I send out Charles. Charles attacks Quilladin with Fire Fang twice, and finishes him off with Dragon Rage. Serena sends out Absol while I send out Grimsley again. I have Grimsley use Water Pulse, which confuses Absol. I finish the battle with another Water Pulse, and win the right to challenge the Mega Evolution Successor! Serena says that my bond with my Pokemon is powerful. She says that losing is frustrating, but... I'll definitely be able to evolve my Pokemon! Korrina then says that there may be winners and losers in a Pokemon battle, but in the end, we're all winners. Mega Evolution is nothing more than just one way to make Pokemon stronger. She also says that there are many Trainers who bring out the strength of their Pokemon without Mega Evolution. The Mega Evolution Guru tells me that I should challenge Korrina first before I battle the Mega Evolution Successor. Korrina says that Pokemon need a Mega Stone, and Pokemon Trainers need the Mega Ring. She says that her Lucario may have taken a shine to me, but now she must test me to see if I'm ready to challenge the Mega Evolution Successor. She says that she'll be waiting for me at the Gym, and leaves. Serena says that the professor will be happy if I study Mega Evolution. Mega Evolution is one way I can show mastery as a Trainer. She then leaves. Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor all agree to try to work to be the best Trainers they can be too. Tierno and Trevor leave, and the Mega Evolution Guru says that we don't need to compare things. Every living creature is unique. However, having someone to compete against and aim for greater heights with is a very fine thing. Shauna knows that me and Serena are now the main rivals on the field, and is glad that we're all traveling together. Time to head to the Shalour Gym! I enter the Shalour Gym, and find that it's a skating rink. The Gym guy says that all I have to do is battle the Roller Skaters and beat them. Every time I beat a trainer, a platform rises. Eventually, I beat all four Roller Skaters, and all of the platforms rise and allow me to grind to the middle platform. When I get to the middle platform, Korrina drops from above, and makes her dazzling entrance. Before I battle her, I head to Route 12 to train my Pokemon. After training my Pokemon for a little bit, I head to the Pokemon Center, where I find from Nurse Joy that one of my Pokemon has Pokerus! I check Mr. Muffintops to see if he has Pokerus, and he does! However, I check the rest of my team and ALL of them have Pokerus! After training my Pokemon, I head back to the Shalour Gym, and I go to the center platform. Korrina decides to skip the introduction, and we then battle. Let's get this show on the road! Korrina sends out Mienfoo, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley attacks with Water Pulse, which knocks out Mienfoo after two hits. Korrina sends out Hawlucha, and Grimsley nearly faints from a Flying Press. Luckily, Grimsley knocks out Hawlucha in two hits, and Korrina sends out Machoke. I give Grimsley a Hyper Potion, and Grimsley attacks with a barrage of Water Pulses. Luckily, Machoke gets confused from the first Water Pulse, and hurts himself. After another Water Pulse, Machoke is down for the count, and I win the Gym battle! However... In this battle, all three starters leveled up to 36, which means... Grimsley evolves into... Greninja! Charles evolves into... Charizard! Combusken evolves into... Blaziken! Korrina admits defeat, and gives up her title- However she is only joking, and gives me the badge. *Trevo got the Rumble Badge!* She tells me that if I have a Rumble Badge, then Pokemon up to level 50 will obey me and my friends. Not only that, but I'll be able to use HM Surf outside of battle. She also gives me TM98 Power-Up Punch, and tells me that Power-Up Punch increases the user's attack stat every time it's used. She then asks me something important. She apologizes because if I want the Mega Ring, I'll have to make it up to the top of the Tower of Mastery. She apologizes to me again, and asks me a favor. She asks me to battle her again, but this time, it won't be just another Gym battle... She wants a battle between equals, as two Trainers who can use Mega Evolution. She tells me that she'll be waiting for me with Lucario at the top of the Tower of Mastery, and she rolls away on her Roller Skates. Time to head to the Tower of Mastery! Korrina... Is SHE the Mega Evolution Successor? I enter the Tower of Mastery, and the Mega Evolution guru tells me that the Mega Evolution Successor is waiting for me at the top of the tower. However, he spills that Korrina is, in fact, the Mega Evolution Successor. Time to climb the Tower of Mastery! I head to the stairs, and a karate guy blocks me. However, he recognizes my skill, and allows me to pass. I head to different rooms while climbing the tower, and I learn that the Mega Evolution Guru's real name is Gurkinn. I also learn the legend of Mega Evolution... Long, long ago, a Trainer came to this land accompanied by a Lucario. They found two strange stones. This is said to have led to the world's first Mega Evolution. I climb the stairs some more, and enter a different room where I learn that the Mega Evolution Guru is apparently a descendent of the first Trainer to evolve Lucario into its Mega Evolution. I climb more stairs, and enter another room, where I get TM47 Low Sweep. I also learn that Professor Sycamore trained here when he was younger to learn about Mega Evolution. However, he decided he didn't have what it takes, and left quickly. Professor Sycamore is a wuss. I climb the last stairs, and enter the last door... I find Korrina with her two Lucario, enjoying the view. Korrina says that when she's here with her Pokemon, looking at the wide-open sky above, all her worries disappear, and she feels like she can do anything. She thanks me for coming all the way up to the top, and she tells me that it was decided that this must be the place where the Mega Ring is handed over. She says that the reason is because we as Trainers must make sure we never forget to set our sights as high as the sky. She then gives me the Mega Ring, which is actually in the shape of a bracelet. *Trevo got the Mega Ring, and equipped it on his left wrist!* She tells me to give my Pokemon the right Mega Stone, and try battling with it. She says that my Pokemon will surely answer to the call of the Mega Ring. She then looks over to her left, and finds that Lucario wants to battle alongside with me! She's honestly a bit shocked that some traveling Trainer seems to have a stronger bond with that Lucario than she does... She then asks me if I'll battle alongside Lucario against her and her Lucario. She tells me that they both have the Lucarionite in hand, so let's begin the battle! Korrina... I will show you what it takes to be a true master of Mega Evolution! The background is filled with rainbows, the music is different, and the day is young! Korrina sends out Lucario, and so do I! I call forth Lucario, and Mega Evolve him. Korrina also Mega Evolves her Lucario, but her victory is short lived when my Mega Lucario knocks her Mega Lucario out with a critical hit Power-Up Punch. With that said, I win the battle! Korrina is greatly impressed, and says that both Mega Lucario didn't hold anything back. She tells me that with strong bonds, Mega Evolution is easy. However, she tells me that it would be best if I took Lucario along with me on my journey, as it's easy to tell that we make an awesome team. I take Lucario, and name him Lucas. Looks like I have another member on my team! Korrina tells me that as long as Pokemon and Trainers have the kindness to care for each other and give each other courage, the world will be full of smiles. I then leave, and head downstairs. I then leave the Tower of Mastery. Just as I am about to leave Shalour City, Serena shows up and gives me HM03 Surf! She tells me that with HM Surf, I can now travel by water. She tells me that it's kind of amazing how a person like me came to Kalos and ended up traveling with her. She calls it destiny, I call it fate. She then runs off, and I head for Route 12. Serena... Such a strange girl. Sadly, she'll never be as powerful as me, and she'll just have to accept the truth. Enough chatter... Onward to the next city! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, there's been another simultaneous evolution, as three of my starter Pokemon evolved. They learned some new moves too! Since Lucas joined the team, I'm going to start putting my team in rotation, like how I'm doing it with my Reborn Journey. Speaking of that, I still need to finish the next chapter... 21. Chapter VIII: Team Flare, And The Mysterious Geosenge Town! I head to Route 10, or Mehir Trail, and find some trainers to battle. One of them even references that my Pokemons' power levels are over 9,000!!! I then move some boulders and find TM73 Thunder Wave. After that, I battle some more trainers, and then head into a field of large, strange stones. I talk to a guy who says that a few years ago, a strange man named Colress told him that these large stones emit strange energy. I head deeper, and a Team Flare member pops out from the stones. He remembers me from when I foiled their Fossil-finding plans, and asks if I have any idea what these stones are. He then spoils a little bit of history from 3,000 years ago, but forgets afterwards. He then battles me with Houndour and Golbat, but I beat them easily with Grimsley. He asks if I'm some kind of Trainer prodigy, but then he gets a call from his boss. For some odd reason, Team Flare has Holo Casters too. He says that whoever thought of the Holo Caster must have been one truly stylish individual. He then scrams... with style! I battle another trainer, and find a Thunder Stone. When I try to go deeper, I find another Team Flare member, who sends out Electrike and Croagunk, who easily get beaten down by Bowser, who makes his debut in the battle! After I beat the Team Flare member, I find another one, who threatens to inspect me if I inspect the stones. She sends out Gulpin, who I just destroy with Grimsley. After the Team Flare fiasco, I battle the last trainer on Route 10 before entering Geosenge Town. I head to Geosenge Town, go into the Pokemon Center, and heal my Pokemon. I then receive TM66 Payback from an old man, and leave. I then head to a hotel next to the Pokemon Center, and find Mr. Bonding again... After he gives me an O-Power, I leave. I find the same Team Flare member from before, who sings about the mysterious stones and Geosenge Town. He then heads to a dead end, and I follow him. He knows I'm there, and he tells me that Team Flare is planning to use the stones on Route 10 and a fantastic artifact to change the world to make Team Flare happy. He says that only people with flair can have power, and leaves. Serena appears from behind, and asks if that was a Team Flare member. I say yes, and she says that something is going on with Team Flare... She then leaves, and I pursue the grunt. When I get to a dead end, the grunt is nowhere to be seen. However, there are a pile of rocks strangely assembled. Perhaps this leads into a secret base? Oh well. Since I can't open it, I might as well just go back to the hotel to find some information. I find that some of the bigger stones on Route 10 are 30 feet tall! And there's so many of them, spanning more than a mile in all! However, why are the stones here? Some people think that the stones mark the burial site of warriors from ancient times. Others say they were built as family memorials or that they were set up for a ritual to celebrate life. However, ancient cultures used stones to track the movement of the sun. However, the most common belief is that they contain some kind of mysterious power. However, there are also some mysterious stones in the neighboring Shalour City, too. Time to head to Shalour City! Will I find the key to Mega Evolution in Shalour City? Current Pokemon Stats: Not much has changed, actually. However, I notice that they leveled up pretty good. Though I will train my team for a while before I head to Shalour City. Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 30 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 27 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 26 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 30 Moves: Bulk Up, Peck, Double Kick, Ember Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 24 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 23 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Roar, Agility
  22. Yeah, I haven't been writing in a long while, with school and all, but I've also been thinking about ways to beat Solaris. Eventually, I came down with one funy strategy, tested it, and it worked. Eventually, you'll get to see which strategy I used. Stay tuned, as the adventure continues!
  23. Chapter VII: Grant, And The Active Cyllage City! As I get to Cyllage City I head to the Boutique and buy some clothes. I then head to the Pokemon Center, and I find that the lights are shut off. When I walk in, the lights turn on, and Nurse Joy wishes me a happy birthday! The music is even slightly different too! I head outside, and I find that the Gym Leader is on top of a hill. I head deeper into town, and find a bicycle shop next to the Pokemon Center! When I head in there, I find that I'm their 10,001 customer since they opened shop. The man says that if I was number 10,000, I could have gotten a Bicycle for free, but... as a runner-up, I get the chance to win a Bicycle by answering their quiz correctly. I answer the corrections correctly, and get the Green Bicycle because Green foreshadows something that's yet to come... I find another hotel, and find TM44 Rest and TM88 Sleep Talk. I then go into the bedrooms, and guess who I find? Mr. Bonding... AGAIN... I head outside, and climb the mountain, where I find a guy who tells me that I'm too late for the Bicycle race. He already won first place. However, he feels bad that I missed it, and gives me HM04 Strength as a consolation. However, to use it outside of battle, I'll first need a badge from the Gym he runs in the city. He says he'll be waiting for me in the Gym, and leaves. This guy is Grant, the second Gym Leader. I head to more houses, and get some more items. However, now's the time to challenge the Gym. I head inside the Cyllage Gym, and I find a huge rock climbing mountain, with Grant at the top. I talk to the Gym guy, who explains how to climb the rocks. After that, I climb the rocks, and battle the trainers in my way. Eventually, I make it to the top, where I find Grant under a beautiful scenery. He tells me that he has been waiting in eager anticipation, and says that he has been waiting for a worthy challenger to appear. He remarks my achievement at climbing all the way up to the top. Hopefully, our battle will be worth the wait. He actually hopes that I win. He cracks his neck, and the battle begins. Let's crush some rocks! Grant sends out Amaura, while I send out Combusken. Combusken makes short work of Amaura with Double Kick, and then Grant sends out Tyrunt. Combusken tries to wipe out Tyrunt with Double Kick, but it only drops Tyrunt's HP down to its last. Grant then uses a Hyper Potion, and Combusken finishes Tyrunt off with two Double Kicks. Tyrunt goes down, and I win the battle. Grant tells me that there are some things that seem out of reach no matter how hard you try. However, it's important that I never give up-- no matter the opponent or the odds. He then gives me the badge to commemorate such an impressive show of teamwork. *Trevo got the Cliff Badge!* With the Cliff Badge, Pokemon up to level 40 will obey me at my every command. He also gives me TM39 Rock Tomb, which also lowers Speed and prevents the opponent from moving. He tells me that since I've become a master wall climber and conquered the Cyllage Gym, it's time I thought about how to apply my skills in other areas. He tells me to think about how I can improve myself, as well as the Pokemon that are always by my side. When I find the answer, that's when I'll truly be able to smile! I slide all the way down, and leave the gym. Now that I got the Gym out of the way, it's time for some unfinished business! I head into the cave at the mountain, and find a man who gives me TM21 Frustration. After making a shortcut to Route 7, I head back, and move a boulder to find TM40 Aerial Ace. Now it's time to go back to Cyllage City. Actually, I think my work is done here in Cyllage City. Onward to Route 10! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, the team leveled up pretty good. Bowser got a new move, and so did Combusken. Other than that, not much has changed. Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 28 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 25 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 24 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 28 Moves: Bulk Up, Peck, Double Kick, Ember Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 22 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 22 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Roar, Agility
  24. Chapter VI: Pokemon Fossils, And The Mysterious Team Flare! I head down to the Ambrette Town, and talk to a girl who randomly gives me TM94 Rock Smash! Time to start smashing some rocks! I explore all the other places, and in the Ambrette Hotel, I get TM96 Nature Power. I also find Mr. Bonding, who gives me an O-Power. I find the Fossil Lab, and find a hiker who asks if I have a Pokemon called Genesect... Seems that he has some items relating to Genesect. Oh well. I notice a Dragonite Skull on one of the shelves too! I head into the other room, and Serena shows up. We head into the room together, and the male scientist welcomes us. Serena introduces me and her and tells the two scientists that we are researching Mega Evolution, and asks them if they know anything about it. Unfortunately, all they know is that it has something to do with mysterious stones. Since we're here, we might as well learn about Fossils. The scientist says that Fossils are the legacy of prehistoric Pokemon, and tells us that we should go to the dig site and see the real thing firsthand. Serena tries to excuse herself, but the other scientist explains that Pokemon that can be restored from Fossils just might have something to do with Mega Evolution. She says that the assistant in Glittering Cave right now might know something about Mega Evolution too. Time to go to Glittering Cave then! To get to Glittering Cave, I apparently have to ride a Rhyhorn. The man at the gate says that I could even pretend I'm the famous Rhyhorn racer, Grace. WAIT A MINUTE!!! My mom is FAMOUS?!? I talk to the ladies, and get an item from one of them, and I then cross the gate. I head to Route 9, or Spikes Passage, and hope on a Rhyhorn! I cross the spiky terrain, and find some items on the way. I find a Sky Trainer, but can't battle him yet. I find Glittering Cave, and step inside. When I first step in the cave, I feel like I'm going to Wonderland. I head to every turn, and find some dead ends. I make my way through, and battle a few Pokemon. I find a few items, including TM65 Shadow Claw, whenever I find a dead end, and continue my quest. Eventually, I get far enough to see light. When I see light, I find tracks, and a man in a red suit, red hair, and red shades. He notices me, and is surprised I'm down here. He tells me that he's a member of the fashionable team whose very name makes people tremble in fear: Team Flare. He says that Team Flare's goal is to make it so they're the only ones who are happy, and says that they don't care one bit about what happens to other Trainers or Pokemon. He tells me to leave, and scolds me for trying to play with fire. He says that someday, everyone not in Team Flare is going to get burned. I go up to him again, and try getting him out of my way. He says that getting his fancy suit dirty isn't the stylish way to do things, but he doesn't care if I battle him. He threatens that he'll obliterate me, and sends out Houndour. He does a pose, and the battle begins. The Team Flare Grunt sends out Houndour, while I send out Grimsley. One hit from Water Pulse, and Houndour is down. However, the Team Flare grunt also has a Zubat. However, another Water Pulse, and Zubat goes down too. Looks like I win. The Team Flare grunt tells me that he's not the only member of Team Flare, and that there's many more. He then gloats that Team Flare is awesome and for winners. He says that it's stylish and awesome. If he's a winner, then why did he lose? I head deeper in the cave, and find more Team Flare grunts. They reveal why they're here, and that's to find Fossils. Someone calls my name, and Serena arrives. She is well aware that these guys are Team Flare grunts too. She was in a bit of a scuffle with them too. She encourages them to make Team Flare happy, but won't let them get away with threatening other people. Serena sends out Espurr while I send out Grimsley. However, Espurr gets beaten down, so she sends out Absol. We eventually beat their Pokemon, and the grunts start crying about their suits. One of the two reveals that they want to restore Fossils to make some money. Probably to gain funds for Team Flare's evil plans! I head deeper, and find the assistant in a dead end. Serena follows me, and the scientist notices. Serena asks if he's okay, and asks if Team Flare came here. Apparently, he's unaware of the situation, as he was completely absorbed in his research for Fossils. The scientist says that he just now found two Fossils. However, he already has these, so he's giving them to us! I decide to get the Jaw Fossil, because I already know what it's going to be. Serena gets the Sail Fossil, and the scientist heads back to the lab. Serena says that we should train more so we can travel safely with those Team Flare people running around. She says that she's going to challenge the Cyllage City Gym, and so I might do that too. After that Team Flare fiasco, I head all the way back to Ambrette Town, restore my Jaw Fossil, and get a Tyrunt! I name him Bowser because it's basically a Pokemon version of Bowser. After that, I talk to the scientist who told me to go look for him, and he's thankful I found the assistant. He gives me the Aerodactylite as thanks, and tells me that Aerodactyl can be restored from Old Amber, which is found in Glittering Cave while using Rock Smash to break rocks. I head to Glittering Cave, and find an Old Amber when I smash some rocks with Fatty Boy. I head back to the Fossil Lab, restore my Old Amber, and get an Aerodactyl! I name him Ridley because Aerodactyl is pretty much the Pokemon version of Ridley. Time to head to Cyllage City! With Bowser and Ridley in my team, I put Fatty Boy in the PC, and teach Bowser Rock Smash to replace Fatty Boy. I head to the Ambrette Aquarium, and look at all the cool stuff. I find a man in front of a golden Magikarp statue. He gives me an Old Rod, and teaches me how to fish. I then leave the aquarium. I head outside, and it seems that I am still on Route 8. I smash some rocks, get some items, and I even find a girl who gives me the Dowsing Machine! I then look for some hidden items at the beach and underneath Ambrette Town. I then battle all the fishermen and the swimmer girls on the beach, and make my way to Cyllage City! What waits for me at Cyllage City? Whatever it is, I'm ready! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, it seems that everybody leveled up pretty well, and there's two new Pokemon to the team. Two Fossil Pokemon, in fact! Plus, they both allude to the Mario and Metroid series as well, so that's good! Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 26 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 23 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 23 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 25 Moves: Scratch, Peck, Double Kick, Ember Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 21 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Charm Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 20 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Roar, Agility
