Got 5* Marth my second day playing this game, which was cool since he's my Melee main and one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters in general. I don't play anymore though. I finished as far as the story currently goes, did a few more maps on hard for exp, and then uninstalled it. I personally found the gameplay too simple/easy, the maps too small, and the story too bland to keep with it. I also found the artwork to be pretty shabby in a lot of cases (though there are some good ones too), and the 5*s are a little too OP for my taste, given how relatively easy they are to come across compared to similar Gacha games. To me, Brave Exvius and Granblue are both superior in gameplay, content, artwork, and overall depth. That being said, it seems to be popular here, so maybe I'll give it another go. I can at least share my code if anyone wants it, though I'd have to redownload the game. Have they added the option to use a friend's character at all? I know other games have features like this, but I don't remember Heroes having it. I don't really see the incentive to add multiple people without it though.

It doesn't get challenging till you hit lunatic and 7th or 8th stratum in training. really, 10th stratum just cheats.

BE isn't a challenge at all. You literally have to wait till RNG gives you someone good. And even 5* characters in that game can be trash. Far as I can tell, the meta is far more strict than in heroes, and most of the time, moves and abilities that make a character unique have no effect on bosses and monsters and movepools are absolute garbage. Take Garland for example. He has shit for magic stats and semi decent phsy stats. He has all magical attacks except for some really shitty dark attacks, (like 1.2 phys damage in exchange for 25+% max health and a gravity attack that works on nobody).

If I had a team of 5 Noctis at 6 stars each, I would win the game. period. no jokes. hands down. your best 6* character just died 5 times over already.

BE had an update recently where i have no idea where to look to read the little story tidbit behind each character. So now I have no idea who the fuck any of these characters are that I summon. Except for the treasure seeking adventurer with iconic whip and hat is whose name is Montana instead of indiana or Kenyu, who is no way at all a jab at ken and ryu at all.

I don't see the argument for superior gameplay when team composition and movements play an entirely crucial role in any and every single match in Heroes, whereas in BE the match is decided way before it begins and is completely unforgiving to newcomers.

  2. It's been years since I've been to a library. I don't even know where the closest one is from here, tbh. But the last time I went to any libraries, I was surprised that they were building up collections of movies and music cd's. No video games yet.

As for your libraries, when you say rent, do you mean that you pay to borrow games for a while? I'm thinking it's just a translation thing- We rent apartments and cars, but we borrow or check out books from the library for free.

A lot of the places that used to rent out games got shut down. Blockbuster and Hastings used to rent out games as well as movies but they went under. I don't know of any chains that rent games out except for gamefly, which works like netflix through the mail, but they probably have everything available for these later gens consoles that use discs. *looks it up* I was mostly right. Ps3/4, xb360/1, pc, 3ds. wiiu.

  3. Just finished rewatching Yu Yu Hakusho. Let me tell ya, it holds up really well (except for maybe the bit about the 4 saint beasts, you should skip that).

It's also one of rare times where the Dub is much better than the sub. I watched it in english with the subs still on and you can really see how improved upon the translation with the dub.

  4. I'd say start with Awakening, as you already have a foot in that door. It's definitely good for starting.

    Then move on to Fates.

    Then PoR/Radiant Dawn

Then maybe try some older games which are more an exercise in frustration than the amazing fun the above players would have you believe. I've played all the FE games that came out in the US.

There's a lot of mechanics and restraints that you'll have to monitor a lot more closely and just make a lot of micromanaging decisions. They see that as challenged accepted. I see it as an annoyance that severely slows down the gameplay and story. Not to mention the likely resets when rng plays its many jokes on you.

I finally tried the game. I've only played Zenyatta so far. Was playing on my sisters PS4 account constantly getting best healer, with about a 2.0 K/D on average. She is level 98. Is this game supposed to be difficult?

Your sister's skill rating must be pretty low then. Lvl 98 only says so much, like how much time was spent playing. Look into the settings and see how many total hours played or something.

  6. tfw you're really not satisfied with your 3 midterm exam essays (all for the same class, btw), but you did 'em last minute and the deadline is coming up in a few more minutes so you say fuck it, wrap it up, and submit it online.

shoulda given it more time but there's no point to worrying about it now.

Never thought I'd be able to "get sick of games".

Definitely depends on the genre of games you've been playing. Some are really easy to burn out on. Platformers, for one, end up feeling samey after a short while. And then there's the LoZ and mario games, which are all pretty similar. I still play lots of shooters but I don't bother with Battlefield or CoD anymore. Every Tales of Game is pretty much the same and I'm not the biggest fan of their combat system either.

  8. The game looks easy, as I sit here and watch godot play. It's a bunch of simple puzzles for the most part, and the combat against average enemies is braindead easy. I keep seeing godot get one shot or nearly so in other fights and it makes me wonder if he missed all the hints on where to go and what to collect first before heading off in a random direction. The boss fight mechanics are pretty simple too. Not really a fan of the weapon durability thing. That's one of my least favorite things about Fire Emblem games. Best parts so far are the flashbacks and cut scenes with dialogue. Second thing I can think of liking is that you can just go and pick up the weapons the enemies were using.

  9. given your classy name, I could take a few guesses as to the possible whys...

Are you banned here or on the server? Do you have a dynamic ip that might have changed spontaneously to a banned ip? What was the username you were trying to log in as?

I foresaw Lucina winning from the start, that's why in the absence of anyone I really cared about I joined her team for the free feathers.

I started on Eirika's team because I actually have her and by using her you're supposed to get bonus power after winning a gauntlet match, but it ended up not being enough. Switching from Kagero to Eirika for those battles just makes it more trouble than it was worth.

Yes but do keep in mind Odin has Blarblade

Yeah, and I was trying to give him buffs with both Jeorge and Saizo, since they both have Spur speed, but with his current stats being so low, it really didn't help enough.

And... I just pulled a 5* Linde. Is she any good?

I'm checking her skills and I'm not a fan of Ardent sacrifice. I mean, I guess it's good that you can have an attack unit that pull off a little bit of heal in a pinch, but that heal isn't strong enough to offset her own hp loss, especially since she looks to be glass canon-y. However with aura, it looks like she'd pair well with any of the dragons, especially Femui. Lead off with the bulky dragon to do damage and defuff, follow up with Linde's range attack right behind her to give Femui back 5 hp.

    her lvl 1 stats are

    Hp- 16

    Atk- 22

    Spd- 10

    Def- 4

    Res- 6

She could use a good Ability, Support, and B skill to help her out...

Edit: Okay, totally replacing Odin with Linde. Maybe give her Odin's Moonbow (2 to charge, resolve as if foe suffered def/res- 30%) if it lets me or tomebreaker or defiant attack. He's got good skills. It just sucks that he kinda sucks too bad to make good use of 'em.

  12. Yeah, Kagero definitely my favorite meta-unit killer.

Had to try out out some of the 4* summoning gave me recently. I spent like 50 on the prince focus and still haven't gotten one and the rate has increased to over 4% for 5* and focus. grr.

Oh yeah, it gave me awakening Tiki and her lightning breath really helps her out (retaliate from any range).
