Can you get fire stones mining?

Okay so I've read on here that you can get fire stones from mining, but has that changed? Because I've been mining for hours, with no luck whatsoever.

Should I just persevere, or are they not available that way any more? (Also, any other ways to get one would be great; I'm trying to beat Shade, not very far into this game yet... )

If I'm correct you can mine them, just realy rare. you can find one in Apothile's volcano

Thank you, I'll keep on mining so! I haven't got as far as a volcano yet, and currently I can't get any further! This game is so much more difficult than normal Pokemon games, I love it!~

TheRoaringRight is correct, you can find them mining. I'm tired of them since all I want is the dome fossil d:

You can mine them, evo stones are at around 2% ish if I remember.
