yancychan
Yancy is a playable character and the protagonist that appears in Pokemon Sylph Islands. -Appearance Just like in the core-series Pokemon games, Yancy is a young girl with fair skin, light pink shoulder-length hair, and light blue eyes. She wears a white and pink hat with a bow design and a white blouse with short sleeves, along with a long-sleeved baby-blue dress underneath. She also wears white socks and blue shoes on her feet. For storage, she carries around a hot pink satchel that she slings over her right shoulder. However, her idol persona differs significantly than her original idol persona from core-series Pokemon games, as her dress resemebles the Lady trainer class in Pokemon Black/White and Black 2/White 2 with elaborate and fancy clothing minus the hat. She styles her hair into a curly side ponytail (with blue tips formed into a drill) and keeps a large cream and pink bow and a hot pink headband in it. For clothing, she wears a light blue dress and light blue shoes. She also wears a headset with a mic situated on her right ear. -Before the events of Sylph Islands: Yancy's previous lifestyle revolves having a double persona, from being a shy and reserved girl to being a celebrity idol in various television shows in the Unova Region, and vise versa. At some point, she dropped her Xtransceiver somewhere in Nimbasa City, only to be picked up by Blake. Since then, they shared lots of friendly conversations as well as conduct Pokemon trades between Blake and herself in addition to her already stressful job at a talent agency. Despite having good things between them, Blake eventually broke up with her upon finding out that she was a celebrity idol (due to the 50th call of Yancy inside her workplace with her idol outfit), with Blake further adding that he was to be stationed on Orre eventually and was also only having an engagement with her only to find out if she was one of the members of the previously defeated Team Plasma, which she isn't and he subsequently crosses off both her real name and her stage name. A couple days later, got laid off from the same talent agency that is no longer able to continue operating. Despite the former boss's best efforts to help Yancy apply to other talent agencies, neither one responded. With both unfortunate events led her to becoming even more closed than ever before, she doesn't feel like doing anything throughout the day. One day, however, her brother, Derek, found a invitation letter from a mysterious person regarding a place in the Kalos region that's much farther away from Azure Bay. Intrigued by the discovery and seeing how downtrodden Yancy is, he decided to give Yancy the letter, as well as his Eevee (who is incapable of evolving) to his younger sister (Yancy) in exchange of her Spinda (since Sylph Islands won't allow Spinda to partake on Pokemon battles there). Additionally bringing her Ralts, Togepi, and Mawile, she then asks Skyla to board her plane for a one-way trip to the mysterious islands. -During the events of Sylph Islands Act 1 (Versions 1-9) One day, both Chris and Yancy enjoyed an air ride with a Togekiss until they spotted something unusual. They decided to pursue them and encounters someone dressing mostly in red uniforms (similar to Team Flare's outfit) with a metal cage. Chris demands the suspicious person to release several Pokemon that was trapped in that cage. The suspicious person presses the button to release the cage, making it fall from several hundreds of feet from the sky. Yancy's Eevee used Swift and made several little stars become a gigantic large one and hurled it to be underneath the cage, securing a soft landing, successfully saving the Pokemon unharmed. Furious, the suspicious individual sends out his Tinkatink and made it throw her metal object at Togekiss, knocking it out and causing both Yancy and Chris to go in a freefall, also knocking them both unconscious. Several hours later, both Yancy and Chris are in bed inside Yancy's Villa, and Chris has already woken up before Yancy. He then leaves first to play with the rescued Pokemon in Pixie City Garden, and Penelope suggests having a battle between Yancy and herself. Even though Penelope tried her best, Yancy emerged being victorious despite not being a seasoned trainer herself as one of her Pokemon battles was her Spinda battling her brother's Leavanny. Penelope expressed concern about the suspicious individual and the cage, but Yancy assures her that she'll find a clue. After roaming around Pixie City, she eventually goes to the shore and encounters an unconscious Ribombee with amnesia. Initially expressing fear, Ribombee tried to run away from her, but was surprised that Yancy was showing compassion. Not long after, Ribombee quickly befriended Yancy and accompanied her on her adventure. Little did Yancy know that her so-called vacation has turned into a full-fledged adventure. Back in Yancy's Villa, Yancy and Ribombee (who still hasn't been named yet at the time) had a conversation with Alain about recent events. Alain's curiosity of the drained orbs that Ribombee has him looking through the book of archives, and sure enough, it's the same thing as he saw in Lumiose Library at Neo Lumiose City West. He then urges Yancy and Ribombee to restore each and every one of her drained orbs to its original states, and he knows exactly where specific Gaia Temples are at. The first island Alain suggested is Singe City, since Pixie City is on the same quadrant (Southwest Quadrant). He gives Yancy the Surf Hidden Machine to enable Pokemon to use Surf outside battle, and that helped Yancy traverse through water to eventually reach Singe City. After roaming around the city, including a boutique whose clerk gave her a set of scarves that was previously used for Super Contests, Yancy suddenly eavesdropped part of a conversation, most likely from several individuals dressed in red, similar to the one she encountered while flying with Togekiss. She then confronts one of them outside from the Suspicious Warehouse, in which the individual tries to convince her that nothing unusual is going on, but to no avail. Hearing the cries of Togekiss, Yancy swiftly defeats the individual and he runs away shortly after. She then enters the Suspicious Warehouse and learns that the people dressing in red are Team Archfairies, who claims to bring pain to fairies. Whatever this means remain to be seen, but Yancy knows they're up to no good. She eventually defeats the grunts around the room and look for hints. Eventually she sees a panel and enters the correct password, opening the door and released all of the Pokemon that were inside that room. Overjoyed by their success, Yancy named the Ribombee "Sally" and they were about to leave the warehouse, only to spot the leader of Team Archfairies near the exit. The leader, Ivoch, was annoyed that the Togekiss has been set free and explains to Yancy why releasing the Togekisses was a bad idea. Yancy tries to be curious, but Ivoch quickly initiates a Pokemon battle between the two. Eventually, Yancy defeated Ivoch and he acknowledges her strength and leaves. With nothing left of the suspicious warehouse, Yancy eventually ventures through an extremely hot environment that turned out to be Fire Island Volcano, and goes through some puzzles of breaking rocks via Eevee's Iron Tails, answering quiz questions from jump ramps, and going through two chase parkours involving a angry Flareon that would tackle her if it reaches her. After dealing with those, they eventually reached the peak of the volcano. While the temple is within sight, the same angry Flareon leaped from the temple to the surface, engaging the first trial battle against Yancy. After a hard fought battle that utilizes the Volcanic Top Field and constant sunny weather, Yancy defeated Flareon and it was too exhausted to continue. Both Yancy and Sally rushed to the Gaia Temple and notices a pedestal to place one of the drained orbs. Yancy gently places the orb inside the pedestal, and the orb slowly materializes into an actual object. The orb became the Fire Element and both Yancy and Sally stared it in awe. Suddenly a beam of red light emitted from the element and directed to a tree in a faraway location that's not yet disclosed. Alain called Yancy to mention the same thing and then both Yancy and Sally went back to her villa. Back in the villa, Alain is connecting the dots of how restoring the elements are related to powering up a legendary Pokemon (which would be mentioned a lot later). He then suggests another nearby island on the same quadrant, this time being the Pitch Black Forest, which is one of Night City's surrounding areas. Yancy goes through Route 1 again, but instead of going Southwest, she'll be heading North from that route. But instead of heading to Night City, both Yancy and Sally went through a cave called the Decibel Cave whose, as the name suggests, voices echoed through the entire cave. Mustering the endurance of their ears from that terribly noisy cave, they eventually encountered and battled Scream Tail and became victorious. With that cave done with, Night City is within sight. Yancy does her usual of healing her team every time she visits a city. Additionally there were two facilities that piped her interest. One of them was a practice building with one of each Cosplay Pikachu that she could obtain if she wanted (Popstar, Rockstar, Belle, PhD., and Libre) and the other was a long and grueling sidequest to help make the clock re-operate twelve times and obtain Magearna and its mega stone in the process. After going through the city, Yancy and Sally was initially going to head to Pitch Black Forest, but an elderly man was busy raking the debris that's covering the stairway, so they venture through Haunted Forest, a pretty spooky place despite very few Ghost-types. The many pillars' purpose is a puzzle that Yancy must traverse; she must pick the correct pillar, or she'll be sent back to the start of the forest. Due to encountering another set of Team Archfairy grunts, they battled every one of them until they spotted a pillar that's containing those Togekisses. Flutter Mane appears out of nowhere, jumpscaring the both of them, but they eventually battled until Yancy won. Upon the release of Togekiss, the same elderly man eventually finished cleaning up the mess and thanks Yancy and Sally for waiting and that his granddaughter can teach any Pokemon Hidden Power of any type. Once inside the Pitch Black Forest, the place got extremely dark that not even a couple flashlights would help as much. Nontheless, they both have to traverse this obscure forest due to containing a Gaia Temple there. Midway through, Yancy and Sally had to go through Umbreon's obstacle course in which she must not be seen by Umbreon's flash attack. After a while, Umbreon eventually stops and lets her proceed. Shortly after, there's a bunch of flashlights that could blind the both of them if they tried to go through, so Yancy has to go through Umbreon's trial battle. After Yancy defeated Umbreon, it turned off the flashlights, letting both Yancy and Sally leave the forest once and for all. Once outside, Yancy and Sally ventures through another Gaia Temple named the Dark Temple. From there, they do their usual stuff, restoring one of the elements to its original state. With that, one of the drained orbs materialized to form the Dark Element. Back in her Villa, Alain mentions that there are more quadrants for Yancy and Sally to explore, and hands her the Gleaming Pass, which lets her board a ferry to travel to Softlock City. Sally is horrified by the name of the place, but Alain casually plays it off and also pokes fun at Vince for making such a terrible place that could make the player lose control of the character, which would force a soft-reset. He also states that Yancy and Sally doesn't have to return to her Villa every time an element is restored. Upon reaching Softlock City, Yancy and Sally encounters Clemont's younger sister, Bonnie, who was already acquainted with Yancy while Sally meets her for the first time. After an friendly exchange, they both have a causal battle in which Yancy won. Afterwards, Yancy declares her mission to Bonnie around the city to release the Togekiss and to search another Gaia Temple. In order to release those Togekisses, Yancy and Sally had to go through extremely unsanitary environments such as Radioactive Meadow and Radioactive Cave to eventually free them, but not without dealing with a Fezandipiti that happened to land on the spot where the Togekisses at. After defeating Fezandipiti and freeing the Togekisses, they both went to Softlock Factory, in which packages are managed here when it comes to deliveries. The factory is rife of conveyor arrows, and while some of the conveyors lead them to somewhere, other times it sets back both of them, or even worse, make them follow the conveyor arrows nonstop, thus losing control of the player character completely, forcing a reset or close. After carefully traversing through the entire factory and battled Tapu Koko, they came across a Jolteon, and like the other two Eeveelutions before it, Yancy goes through another trial battle against Jolteon and won. Afterwards, both Yancy and Sally encountered another Gaia Temple named Electric Temple, sharing the same kind of room as the other temples, and restored one of the drained orbs to be materialized into the Shock Element. With their mission complete in Softlock City, they press onwards to Route 2. Route 2 is somewhat of a short route, because it shortly leads to Swampy Village. Sally is doubting about not being on the right track and also shows a dislike of such an environment due to not liking getting splashed by mud, but Yancy reassures her that they're on the right track as well as having fun getting soaked. After battling countless trainers there and collecting a bunch of souvenirs, they eventually made it out of the village and surfed towards Coral City. Inside Coral City, another familiar face that Yancy recognizes is name Ariel, another celebrity idol just like her but from a different talent agency, albeit formally. After another friendly exchange and battling, Ariel lets Yancy proceed to Coral Cave, where they encountered another set of Team Archfairy Grunts and defeated them. Another thing in the way of their rescue was a distressed Diancie, whipping fierce sandstorms to help gain an edge during battles. After defeating Diancie, Yancy helped Diancie get out from that cave and then went back inside Coral Cave. The puzzle this time involves Yancy being underwater with limited oxygen, and she has to resurface within a certain amount of steps or she'll pass out. Eventually she did resurface and encounters Tapu Fini, battled it, and won. Sally thought they would be free to go since she didn't see anyone else besides Tapu Fini, but her hopes were crushed when Vaporeon resurfaces. Engaging another Trial Battle, Yancy came out victorious and Vaporeon granted them entry to the Gaia Temple named Water Temple. From there, they made one of the drained orbs materialized into the Water Element. Done with the temple, they both leave Coral Cave, but not before befriending a Manaphy inside Ariel's house (if Yancy has a Phione in her party). Suddenly, a bunch of Team Archfairy Grunts surrounded Yancy, Sally, and Ariel. After having a gauntlet of three 12v12s, the grunts eventually retreats while Ivoch plots his next move upon witnessing Yancy's extraordinary battling skills. With the Northwest quadrant finished due to acquiring two more elements, bringing the restored element count to four, Ariel gives her the Crystal Pass, which enables her to board a ferry to go to Twinkle Village. Upon reaching Twinkle Village, an elderly man gives both Yancy and Sally the run-through of what the surrounding areas of Twinkle Village has. Both of them had to traverse through a gigantic snowy area called Cool Edge which, similar to Sonic Unleashed's Cool Edge from both Wii/PS2 and PS3/XBox360, is filled with slippery ice that'll make Yancy and Sally slide all the way until the surface is no longer slippery, and that they are occasionally inside or outside from a crevice. Eventually they went inside Mirage Tunnel that Falinks made and spotted two Team Archfairy Grunts hanging around inside the tunnel as a means to find warmer shelter. But shortly after defeating the grunts, the grunts had to leave, enabling Sally to fire a Moonblast to destroy the rocks and freeing the Togekisses from there. This was only half of what they've accomplished, however, since they have to go through the other half of Cool Edge. But after they eventually did, they've found a Gaia Temple named the Ice Temple. The snow was too thick and both Yancy and Sally are starting to feel cold that they could barely move. They woke up eventually and saw Glaceon appeared before them, engaging in a trial battle, which Yancy won. After that, they went inside the Ice Temple and restored one of the drained orbs to be materialized into the Frost Element. After Cool Edge has been done and over with, they went back inside Mirage Tunnel and followed through a layout that's similar to Diglett's Tunnel from RBYGSCFRLGHGSSLGPE, going up, then right, then up, then right, and vise versa. Eventually, when they leave the cave, they seemed to be in outer space due to seeing a black sky full of stars. But it was actually Starlight City, and Linda just happens to show Yancy and Sally a picture that she has envisioned. Both Yancy and Sally are confused by the picture since it showed Eggmanland from Sonic Unleashed, but Linda tried to convey the meaning to them. After a divination-like conversation, both Yancy and Sally go through Starlight Carnival, also resembling another area of the same name in Sonic Colors. There are many Cherubis that could briefly provide Yancy a short burst of power, this time being the Color Power Laser, reflecting off any crystals she sees there. There's also some Decidueye there launching their Spirit Shackles. Flying boats are everywhere taking them to wherever the flying boat leads. After going through bizarre movements, they eventually encountered Tapu Lele, which happened to hold on to Togekiss instead of Team Archfairies doing it, and won. After rescuing those Togekisses, Yancy and Sally made their way to the Gaia Temple named the Psychic Temple. Not surprisingly, they've encountered Espeon there and initiated a trail battle, in which Yancy won. They then head to the temple to restore one of the drained orbs to be materialized into the Mind Element. After finishing the Northeast Quadrant of Sylph Islands, they board a ferry to the Southeast Quadrant and eventually land on Blooming Village, which contains a jungle and a forest. Yancy and Sally noticed that the path to Vitality Forest is temporarily blocked, so they instead went to Jungle Joyride. Once there, they spotted several Team Archfairy Grunts and battled each one of them, whose team contains Pokemon that has at least Signal Beam as part of their moveset. After dissipating every single Signal Beams, the Togekisses eventually was set free. With that, they ventured to Vitality Forest, where there's a bunch of Eevees. And just like the likes of Chikorita, Eevee also provides the color power of Drill, in which Eevee spins its tail like a drill and tears through muddy and rocky surfaces. A lot of care shall be put while being under the drilling state; some of the rocks and boulders falling from the top of the ceiling can abruptly end the drilling state and locks Yancy in. Eventually, they got through Vitality Forest and spotted the Gaia Temple named the Leaf Temple, but not without dealing with two battles: Tapu Bulu and Leafeon. After Yancy won against the both of them, they stumbled across Leaf Temple, in which they restored another one of its drained elements. Afterwards Sally raced Yancy to see who gets to Blooming Village, in which they spotted a Hoppip there. Holding on to a Hoppip whose using the Color Power Hover, they soared into another route called the Acrobatics Trail, a heavy emphasis of trainers in that area having Pokemon with Acrobatics as one of their moves, usually boosted with Flying Gem. After going through the clouds, they stumbled into the Fairy Tribe's tower, which usually doesn't have many visitors. Eventually both Yancy and Sally got permission by the Fairy Tribe Elder to proceed soaring even higher to the skies, and they eventually landed in Pixie Babylon. They're so high up the sky that they couldn't see the bottom. Going through at least four quiz questions via Jump Ramp, they eventually encountered Enamorus and subdued it, clearing the thick clouds that previously covered the exit. They eventually descended on the Uncharted Island where they saw a Gaia Temple. They rushed inside the temple only to find out that the pedestal is nowhere to be found. Just then, something was grabbing Sally, leaving Yancy alone for a while. While being dragged by something, Sally encounters a person who dresses like a Lady from the Unova Region; that person shared some of her knowledge to Sally. Yancy was asking if Sally is alright, to which she responded that she's more than just well; she happened to remember everything, including her actual name. After a heartfelt conversation including Imelda's past life, Sally tries to leave on her own due to regaining all of her memories and her resolve to stop her big brother Ivoch from doing something irredeemable, only to be stopped by Yancy who insisted that they should stick around until the chapter's finally over. Ivoch eventually shows up and dismissed the entire story that Sally/Imelda had made up. He then offers Yancy to try and stop Ivoch inside the Fairy Battleship, the same facility that the pink eon previously used during the rebellion arc of Pokemon Virtualization. Yancy agrees to confront Ivoch, but she has to make some preparations back at her Villa. Most importantly, Yancy took a nap but she had a short dream. She landed on another part of Uncharted Island. While looking at her surroundings, a Sylveon with four wings and a sword appeared before her and raised his right feeler. Yancy went on to touch his feeler with her right hand and something glowed on the winged Sylveon's right feeler; the winged Sylveon joined Yancy's team (as evidenced when a Poke Ball appeared on Yancy's table) and she decided to named that winged Sylveon Rezael. She woke up eventually and Sally/Imelda mentioned that Yusaku just happened to be in her villa. Yancy then took the opportunity to ask Yusaku for help. Yancy inquiried Yusaku about the Fairy Battleship, but initially refused to help her get there. Eventually, he reluctantly help her get there but has no further part beyond transportation, which was good enough for Yancy. She and Sally/Imelda had to go through a series of math puzzles based on exponents unless the player took the time to explore almost the entirety of the area to look for numbers. After going through these puzzles, they spotted the actual Fairy Temple, but not without Iron Valiant and Sylveon blocking their way. After they were both defeated, they finally made it to the temple, in which they restore their final drained orb to be materialized into the Fairy Element. With all eight elements restored, a legendary Pokemon emerged from the temple that's further down the room. That legendary Pokemon turned out to be Xerneas, in which Yancy battled and won. Xerneas then joins her team. Armed with a legendary Pokemon by her side, Yancy and Sally/Imelda has completely fulfill her quest. This would be a cause of celebration, but they still got Ivoch to deal with. Sure enough, he was outside from the temple waiting for the two of them to come out. Ivoch renounces that he will do anything to take the legendary Pokemon and the eight elements by force. An intense battle ensued outside the temple, and after a long battle, Yancy defeated Ivoch. Not wanting to admit defeat, he scares Yancy into telling her that he has a bunch of Sacred Ash to revive his entire team and to tire out Yancy and her team. The bickering would've continued, but they heard a familiar voice. It was none other than the actual person named Imelda, Ivoch's younger sister. Ivoch is overjoyed and relieved that she is completely fine and a brief reunion ensues. Sally, who was watching everything unfold, bids farewell to Yancy as her role has finally finished and returned Imelda the rest of her soul and personality that Sally temporarily borrowed. She no longer has the ability to speak human language anymore and returned to Imelda's Poke Ball. Just when things are back to normal, a stray Sylveon named Amelia appeared out of nowhere and took control of Imelda consciousness. Amelia then gloats at Ivoch that, no matter what, he would continue to be a puppet to do some dirty work and to take the fall instead of her. Ivoch demands Amelia to release Imelda, but Amelia is going to use Imelda's vassal to continue pursuing her sadistic ambitions. She then tried to cause a mental pollution on Yancy in hopes of her feeling despair. Yancy's eyes turned from cornflower blue to crimson red as Ivoch hopelessly tries his best to make her snap out of this. She's now at limbo reflecting on her past life and thinks about what she would want for herself, but she's happy with what she's currently doing. She expressed all of her positivity as the glass shatters, freeing her from the mental pollution that Amelia was subjecting her. Yancy then glows gold color surrounding her and Xerneas points out that this is her Design Force in action. Amelia is still awestruck by this realization, but Xerneas continues to explain that when Yancy bonded with Rezael the Sylveon, it gave her the power to change her fate. And it's not just her, but also everyone else that supported Yancy during those troubling times. Everyone's Design Force became one and a mega stone has materialized. Xerneas asks for the name and Yancy closed her eye dreaming. Rezael the Sylveon was flying a while ago and eventually descended to meet Yancy while reaching out his right feeler again. Yancy reached for her right hand again. Both of them connected once more and then Yancy opened her eyes, only to find an actual Mega Stone on her right hand. That stone was called the Rezaelite, and that it enables Rezael the Sylveon to mega evolve into Rezael Vita during battles. Amelia laughs at the connection and claims that Yancy's Design Force is too dangerous. She then sets the stage for the final battle, which is located at the "fake" Fairy Temple in Uncharted Island. Yancy and Ivoch went back to Pixie City Shore to reflect on recent events, with the latter giving her the Mega Ring (if she didn't obtain it from Mega Forest). Ivoch decides to challenge Amelia in hopes that Yancy won't have to bear the burden, but by the time she got there, Ivoch had already lost the battle and had some of his Pokemon taken by Amelia (Klefki, Mawile, Tinkaton, and Silvally with Steel Memory attached). Yancy then steps up to confront her. After a extremely hard-fought battle (in which Amelia had Klefki, Tinkaton, Mawile, Silvally, Zacian, and Magearna), Yancy emerged victorious and the Design Force is being transferred to Xerneas, enabling him to separate Imelda from Amelia's influence, in which she reverted back to a unruly Sylveon. Amelia argues that all living things should be selfish and live through their desires. Xerneas counters that while living things do have those, they can also care for someone else. It also points out that her mistake is assuming that one aspect of living beings is the truth, and that it caused Amelia to lose everything except her soul and yet repeated that same mistake over and over again. As such, Amelia is due for an eternal slumber, never to come out again. Amelia accepts her fate willingly and lets Xerneas do its thing. With everything done, the fake Fairy Temple begins to collapse, but Xerneas helped everyone escape from that collapsing temple. Everyone was transported to their respective residences and soon Yancy, Imelda, and Ivoch landed on Pixie City Shore. After a couple of exchanges, Imelda gives Yancy a Ribombee, which is spawn of her own as something to remember her as a previously temporary, but now permanent, companion, despite not able to speak human language anymore. Yancy went back to her villa after the ordeal and awaited a bright new day to actually have some fun in life. -The Sylvic Clash arc (Version 10) After the events of her quest of restoring elements and foiling Amelia's plans to rule all over Sylph Islands, Yancy decides to call on Derek to express her gratitude of him showing her a place to have some fun as opposed to a stressful lifestyle she previously had in Unova. However, instead of Derek answering, it was their younger sister Cindy that answered instead. Cindy came with the news that Derek has not been feeling well; even though the season changes every month and that Derek used to be briefly sick during the first few days, this time was completely different as the flu lasted considerably longer than before. Even the doctors wasn't able to find a solution right away, and even if they did, the bill would be incredibly expensive. Worried, Yancy is in a bind of what to possibly do, only for a talking Eevee plushie to appear behind her, jumpscaring her. Yancy thinks it came to specifically look for her so she hears what the Eevee plushie has to say so she lets it explain. It said that Yancy has been chosen to change fate. She wonders how she was chosen, and Eevee explains that because she has bonded with Rezael the Sylveon, which also triggered a message from Xerneas. Yancy deduces that Eevee can also perform supernatural things just like Xerneas. Eevee confirms and say that it can fulfill any wish she desires. In order for it to do that, she must participate in a single elimination showdown known as the Sylvic Clash. Since there are eight unique Eeveelutions, eight specific people has already been chosen, including Yancy. She wonders if there are any consequences to being eliminated, but Eevee states there aren't any, other than losing the opportunity to fulfill her wish. Seeing this as an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, she decided to participate in the Sylvic Clash. Before she leaves the villa, she changed her clothes from her casual attire to her idol attire that she still has. Outside Yancy's Villa, Alain, Yusaku, and Bonnie wanted to invite her over to Crystal Castle, where the legendary Ice Cream Sand Witch resides making as many great flavorful ice cream as possible. Upon reaching Crystal Castle, Yancy met a lot of familiar faces and even a doppelganger wearing the same casual clothes she previously wore. After taking a seat, ICSW gave an announcement of how she was able to acquire a extremely large building around Pixie City thanks to Yusaku's massive financial contributions. In there, she hopes to spread her joy of making lots of delicious ice creams for the entire Sylph Islands to enjoy. Sitting on the table are several tall ice creams whose decor resembles a Gigantamaxed Alcremie. ICSW encourages everyone to devour them to their hearts' content. After a wonderful evening dessert, Yancy went back to her villa. While this was enough to put her at ease, she still thinks about the showdown, and not long after, the first pairings have been announced. It was the Sylvic One of Rejuvenation versus the Sylvic One of Innovation. She wonder who the other Sylvic one was, so she ventures through the Tapu Islands, battling and catching static legendary encounters she sees there (the four Tapu Guardians) before eventually located the Hakusan Stage, where the several battles of the Sylvic Clash took place. Upon reaching there, Yancy is surprised to find out that she will be battling against ICSW, and that this is who the Sylvic One of Innovation was. With a slew of Ice and Fairy-tpes that ICSW wields, Yancy was on a uphill battle, and it didn't help that there was another Sylveon who is a hybrid Ice/Fairy type due to a strange item she's holding. Eventually, Yancy overcame ICSW's tactics and won, concluding the first round of the Sylvic Clash and obtained an artifact from ICSW called the Frost Idol. Afterwards, Yancy returned back to her villa while ICSW went back to Crystal Cavern. The next morning, Ariel paid a visit to Yancy's Villa to look for her, still discussing about the motive of the Eevee plush named Virgil. Soon after, a commotion occurred outside and the trio (Alain, Ariel, and Yancy) went outside to find two Knights of Flare admins standing there. The duo eventually revealed all of the participants and then initiated a sparring match between four trainers (Yancy & Ariel VS Travis & Wesley). After testing out their new Sylveon forms the duo barely obtained, the pairings have been announced. Round 2 of the Sylvic Clash paired the Sylvic One of Determination versus the Sylvic One of Ambition. Wondering who they were despite the duo revealing the players, Yancy went to the Hakusan Stage to spectate. In there, she witnessed an ongoing battle between Ariel and Travis, with Travis getting the upper hand on using coverage moves to counter his weaknesses, and eventually won. Ariel has to hand over the Water Idol to Travis upon losing. Travis continues to keep walking with Wesley in tow while Ariel briefly expressed disappointment of her failure, but uplifted her optimism shortly after. The pairings have been announced for the third round of the Sylvic Clash shortly after the second round, this time being the Sylvic One of Rejuvenation versus the Sylvic One of Ambition. Sure enough, Yancy has to face Travis in battle under the same environment (Hakusan Stage Cave Field). Both Yancy and Ariel went back to their respective homes to prepare themselves before going back to the stage. Afterwards, Yancy went back to the Hakusan Stage to take on Travis, and the third round of the Sylvic Clash ensued, with Yancy emerging victorious, thus obtaining the Heat Idol and Water Idol artifacts from Travis. He is thus eliminated from the competition. After Yancy went back home to her Villa, Ariel requested some help searching for someone who's hiding in the many trees within Pixie City Northeast. After a couple hide and seeks, Drew eventually came out and interacted with both Yancy and Ariel. Some exchanges aside, the pairings for the fourth round of the Sylvic Clash was announced, pitting the Sylvic One of Isolation to battle against the Sylvic One of Restoration, meaning Drew will be battling against Wesley. The threesome went to the Hakusan to get things ready, with Drew doing the battling while Yancy, Ariel, and Travis were spectating that round. Drew's Pokemon showed considerable endurance and Wesley's final Pokemon was about to use struggle. After some thinking, Wesley eventually surrenders the match, handing Drew the victory as well has handing him the Nature Idol artifact. Virgil, however, decided to host another match shortly after this one, with round five pitting the Sylvic One of Rejuvenation against the Sylvic One of Isolation, so Yancy has to battle Drew. Yancy began to experience such durability from Drew's Pokemon but eventually muscled through and won, eliminating Drew from the showdown and obtaining both the Nature Idol and Night Idol artifact from him. Back at her Villa, Alain notes that this would be the last day to host the Sylvic Clash, so he's definitely going to conduct the last two matches. With no time to lose, Yancy and the others went to spectate inside the Hakusan Stage and saw Wyatt (Sylvic One of Bravery) battling against Linda, a Psychic-type specialist and the Sylvic One of Knowledge. While Linda's victory was thought to be certain, Wyatt changed the future by turning things around and defeated Linda, eliminating her from the showdown and gave Wyatt the Mind Idol. Shortly afterwards, the final round of the Sylvic Clash between Wyatt and Yancy also utilizes the water surface. After a hard fought battle, Yancy eventually not only won against Wyatt, but also the entire showdown. As such, Virgil gave Yancy the ability to make her wish come true, and she took the opportunity to declare that all she wanted was to see her older brother Derek be healthy again. Rezael the Sylveon prepares to form a stance and a beam of golden light emitted from his sword, launching to a house in the Unova Region. Yancy quickly goes back to her Villa to check on things, and sure enough, Derek has finally recovered. Both Derek and Cindy are having plans to reside on Yancy's Villa. With another ordeal finally dealt with, Yancy once again awaits another bright new day to have fun in life. -Fairy Deluxe Tournament Preliminaries (Version 11): Days after the events of the Sylvic Clash, both of Yancy's siblings, Derek and Cindy, finally managed to move from their house from Unova to Yancy's Villa in Sylph Islands. The siblings shared a heartfelt moment before both Derek and Cindy starting unpacking their stuff. Meanwhile, Alain happened to receive a request from ICSW that she needed some help around Crystal Castle. Eventually, the foursome left the Villa and proceeded to exit from Crystal Cave. However, when the crew was expecting to go to Crystal Castle, they suddenly found themselves outside from that cave instead of the cavern that they've previously went to. ICSW reassures that her room has been moved elsewhere and that this new location that they're at is called Alcremie Tower, due to how tall the facility is that it could rival Gigantamax Alcremie. ICSW's ownership of that facility is all thanks to Yusaku's contributions that she still has left to be use for improvements. Both Alain and Yusaku (Troublemaker) decided to help ICSW out while Yancy and her siblings were told to have a great time. That also includes interacting with 48 whopping individuals, most of them from the Kalos region as well as familiar characters that appeared in Pokemon Virtualization. After interacting with all 48 of them, Yancy then takes on several Pokemon battles, including battling with her younger sister Cindy, a tag team battle with Cindy against the Eevee Twins (Emily and Emilee) in order for the Eeveelutions to lose some weight from eating a bunch of ice creams, and a mysterious moonkeeper wanderer named Moony testing trainers with his "Trial of the Moon". After a battle with Moony, he asked Yancy an important question, which is asking why Yancy the reason of being a Pokemon Trainer. Yancy doesn't have an answer to that question at the moment, still thinking, but then another mysterious individual showed up in which Derek recognizes. It was Jimmy that handed Derek the invitation letter in which he handed to Yancy. After Yancy shared positive feedback of her time in Sylph Islands, Jimmy hands her another invitation letter, which turned out to be the Fairy Deluxe Tournament. Jimmy explains that he specifically selects people that are worthy of participating in this first ever tournament. Yancy wonders why she was chosen, and that Jimmy says that she deserved that spot. Due to Yancy posting a bunch of stuff documenting her adventures, her successful endeavors inside Sylph Islands have been known to many. Even the majority of the people Yancy just interacted would vouch on her success as well. Yancy's still unsure if she wants to participate without a strong reason to do so, and that's when Moony decides to take over and declare that he'll also participate in that tournament as well. Moony states that there are people that are taking part of the tournament due to their own reasons, and their conviction has been put to the test. Even if Yancy doesn't have an answer, there's still something to be gained upon participating. With that, Yancy happily accepts the invitation, but that's not the only thing she receive. Moony hands her a Poke Ball. When Yancy touched the ball, she was briefly taken somewhere in limbo and saw a yellow Silvally with wings. She then greets the Silvally variant and names it Rifistor, based on another unit called Mythisch of Miracles, Rifistor. After the interaction with Moony, Yancy decides to walk to the Fairy Deluxe Dome, located at Pixie City Southwest. When entering the facility, Yancy spots Jimmy, and he states that she shall be in the stage instead of the spectator room. Eventually she arrives on the stage and saw three other participants: Bonnie, Ivoch, and Moony. Jimmy also happens to be a MC as well as he makes introductary remarks and introduces each of the participants. Then the rules are explained: each participant will play in a round-robin tournament, so they will be having exactly three Pokemon battles due to each participant battling with three other opposing trainers. The top two participants will get to advance to the finals. However, if more than two participants are eligible to advance to the finals, a raffle will be drawn after the third day of the qualifiers. The matches are as follows. Day 1 will be Bonnie vs Moony and Yancy vs Ivoch. Bonnie has defeated Moony while Yancy defeated Ivoch. Day 2 will be Ivoch vs Moony and Yancy vs Bonnie. Moony secured the win as well as Yancy. Day 3 is Bonnie vs Ivoch and Yancy vs Moony. During the battle between Yancy and Moony, she had finally found her answer, and Rifistor answered to her feelings, assisting her on her battle. She eventually won against Moony while Ivoch defeated Bonnie. Yancy's score is 3-0, securing a place in the finals while Bonnie, Ivoch, and Moony's scores are 1-2, so a raffle has been commenced. Bonnie wins the raffle and proceeds to advance to the finals while both Moony and Ivoch were eliminated. With the preliminaries over with, six more participants have been revealed: Signer Luna, Water Idol Ariel, Nursery Aide Penelope, Fairy reserve leader Kelsey, Yusaku with the codename Troublemaker, and Wyatt with the codename Whippersnapper. As such the Fairy Deluxe Tournament Finals are about to be commenced. -Fairy Deluxe Tournament Finals (Version 12): Picking up where the tournament left off, MC Jimmy gives everyone a couple days since he needs to get things set up for the finals. As such, Yancy spends her time in Pixie City interacting with familiar trainers, including Wyatt, Bonnie, Clemont, Kelsey, and Luna. After some casual matches, the day has finally come for the eight finalists to show up. The pairings have been decided for the quarterfinals: Yancy vs Penelope, Luna vs Ariel, Wyatt vs Bonnie, and Yusaku vs Kelsey. The results for the quarterfinals were as follows: Yancy defeated Penelope, Ariel defeated Luna, Wyatt defeated Bonnie, and Yusaku defeated Kelsey. Then, the semi-finals have commenced, with Yancy facing against Ariel and Yusaku facing against Wyatt, in which Yancy defeated Ariel and Yusaku defeated Wyatt. When the final match is about to start, Yancy remarks to Yusaku that while she is excited to battle against her inspiration, she is aware how incredibly strong Yusaku is. And since the trophy is on the line, she declares that she'll give everything she got into this final match. Yusaku encourages her as well while also saying that he won't lose either. After an extremely tough battle in which Yusaku's team consists of Mega Diancie, Rock Memory Silvally, Klefki, Mega Mawile, Crowned Form Zacian, and Decoder Sylveon, she eventually emerged victorious. Admitting defeat, Yusaku says that Yancy just got a new rival. Celebrating while holding her trophy and hearing the closing ceremonies, Yancy went back home. Back at home, Yancy was taking a rest with her siblings Derek and Cindy, Yusaku, and Alain. Just then, Emily showed up and gave a stunning revelation; she happened to find Liael, Rezael's lost lover. When asking Emily where she's at, she affirms that Liael's at Mount Flareon. Wondering why Liael won't come out of her own, Emily states that she has been barricaded by a satellite beacon, which happened to still be functional even after the Kalos War ended 3000 years ago. Yancy declares that she'll set off to rescue Liael. Yusaku is somewhat skeptical about her determination even after everything she did for the island, but he hands Yancy Decoder Sylveon to assist her against anything she faces. (That concludes Yancy's involvement on version 12) -Relationships (to be added) Sally Yancy first encounters an amnesic talking Ribombee at the Pixie City Shore. Initially scared of being confronted, Sally tries to flee from her, but her compassion calmed her down. With Yancy willingly offering to help Sally restore her memories, Sally instantly befriended her and accompanied her during their adventures providing moral support as well as showing a playful and comedic side of her. After several island explorations and eventually explored the fake Fairy Temple that helped Sally restore her memories, her playful and comedic personality had been all but faded, though she still showed moral support throughout the rest of her adventure. After Yancy and Sally finally foiled Ivoch plans to take Xerneas and the restored elements and the real Imelda appears, Sally's role has been fulfilled and has returned to her original trainer, losing the ability to speak human language completely. After the events of Amelia's schemes, Imelda somehow found another spawn of Ribombee and gave it to Yancy to remember Sally by. Derek's Eevee Even though Derek's female Eevee is Yancy's starter Pokemon at the beginning of her adventure, in which team composition can be changed throughout the course of her entire adventure, Eevee's notable role that she performed was creating a giant star formed by a bunch of little stars from the Swift attack to be used as a cushion to soften the landing of the cage that the Team Archfairy Grunt released at least 100 feet above the surface. Additionally, she was occasionally called to destroy some rocks via Iron Tail that reverberate across the area to also destory other rocks as collaterial that block's Yancy's way. Ivoch -Yancy's first encounter with Ivoch was neutral, as they had a civil conversation with each other inside Suspicious Warehouse. Neither one had to emotionally react, but both Yancy and Ivoch did get their point across. Future encounters with each other, however, got tense, with Ivoch taunting Yancy and Sally to confront him at the Fairy Battleship and when Ivoch crashes out inside the Fairy Battleship, stopping at nothing to grab what Yancy recently obtained (eight restored elements and the Legendary Pokemon Xerneas). It was after that Imelda appeared unscathed that he had finally calmed down and showed some amount of guilt, going as far to confront Amelia himself to make up for his wrongdoings so that Yancy doesn't have to. During the Fairy Deluxe Tournament, he showed some signs of rivalry with Yancy due to her being the first hero that saved the Sylph Islands. -Yusaku Being the protagonist during the events of Pokemon Virtualization, the predecessor of Sylph Islands, Yancy looks up to him with high regard, to the point where she has tons of posters regarding Yusaku and some of his Pokemon, including Decoder Sylveon, Ribombee (nicknamed Honeybot), and Hydreigon (nicknamed Firewall). While Yusaku seemed unaware of having an actual fan, he has no trouble interacting with people, which is drastically in contrast to when he used to not want to converse with anybody and is just focused on his goals bringing down the Knights of Flare. Even though he has significantly socially improved, he is still an incredibly strong trainer, in which the majority of trainers in Sylph Islands expressing fear of battling him or to attempt to surpass him, though Yancy's the only known person to defeat him during the last match of the Fairy Deluxe Tournament Finals. Although Yancy let's Yusaku hang around her villa as long as he like without needing something in return, he still helped Yancy in some way like transporting her to the site of where the Fairy Battleship landed after the events of the pink eon's rebellion and giving her a spare of Decoder Sylveon to assist Yancy on the rescue mission of Liael. -Trivia: -Yancy is based on a character from Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 also named Yancy that happened to share similar lifestyles in Unova. -On one of her calls with Nate in BW2, she prefers Normal-type Pokemon because of the notion of them becoming whatever it wants if they worked hard. -Yancy bonding with Rezael the Sylveon is similar to when Akina Myodo reaching out his hand to Fated One of Miracles, Rezael. -Amelia's actions is similar to Sybilt from Cardfight Vanguard Divinez season 2, possessing someone and trying to mental pollute the protagonist. -Yancy's adventure with Sally the Ribombee is similar to when Sonic the Hedgehog is helping out Chip from Sonic Unleashed. -Both V11 and V12 regarding the Fairy Deluxe Tournament's premise is similar to Cardfight Vanguard DivineZ's third (3rd) DELUXE Tournament. -Out of the Pokemon that she trades with the player, only three Pokemon are eligible to battle at the Sylph Islands: Mawile, Togepi, and Ralts Edited 23 hours ago by yancychan
