I agree with what other posters have said...focus on taking down those eeveelutions! I had the exact same issue, my Litleo's Fire Fangs were pathetic even with the type advantage. But she held her own against Lileep because all it would do was Confuse Ray which didn't affect Litleo (normal type!). My Gyarados was super helpful as well. A pain in the ass to get a Gyarados because you have shell out over 5000 pokedollars for the Magikarp and it's essentially useless until you level it up to 20. Totally worth it though But yes, focus on the eeveelutions!!! They're ridiculous. Edit: Litleo actually evolves at level 35. I know this because I also thought that they evolved at level 30 and was sorely disappointed when I trained and level 30 rolled around and nothing happened.
