Starters eggs quest

Hello, i have a question about this quest. I have never done much breeding in Pokemon games, so maybe i am wrong, but i think that when you breed pokemon, the egg will be the same species as the mother. I have now almost all of the starters we can obtain through events (or wild encounters) but the majority of them are males.

So what i am supposed to do to obtain their eggs? Thank you very much for help.

Breed them with a Ditto.
