Any way to turn off the lightning effects?

I honestly feel like I'm going to have a seizure from these lightning effects.

I would enjoy a more visible night time, especially in thunderstorms

Due to the topic that someone recently posted about stopping water animation and Ame saying that that isn't possible I have a feeling it isn't possible for lightning as well. My only suggestions is changing am/pm or change the date for new weather. Good luck!

i wouldnt change the date, you can get trapped in having a week of rain/week of thunder, so i have been told by a pokemon veteran

That would suck... All the same, I don't think it's possible to turn the effect off
