Nickname Sprites - Shiny?

I was watching PokeMens latest videos and noticed that his shiny Piplup had the shiny sprite on the nickname screen. I am over 250 SRs for a shiny starter and was wondering if this would be the case for the starter. This would allow me to SR much faster but I don't want to try that and miss the shiny because I SR before checking the Pokemon menu. Does anyone who got a shiny starter since the update that changed the menu sprites know the answer to this?

 

Edit: I learned it was a mod (post below) and that it wasn't a built in feature.

 

For anyone who looks here and has used this mod, do I need the follower mod for this to work? Do I just copy the files to the correct folders? Is there anything else I have to do?

Hey there! i have the newest version as of september 24th 2023, and the nickname sprite was shiny for my fennikin after 18 SR for a shiny, i'm not sure if this is for all sprites as of yet, but it definitly is for the starters, and i don't understand how to add mods, so i promise you i don't have that.
