The PokeNations 3 Finals (things i don't wanna have to esplain later)

This isn't the week post, that'll go up when week 10's outcome is decided, just a general explanation.

So, finals week. It's been a long road. And in the end, only 2 nations get to duke it out. SIKE here's what's happening:

The 2 Nations with the best scores (first sorted by overall score, then individual wins) will face each other in the same weekly (nice joke) format we're all accustomed to. BUT, Each finalist gets 2 of the remaining 4 Nations as allies.

Now to elaborate a bit on what this implies:

The types:

  • The finalist Nations can use 1 extra type of their choosing from each Nation they're allied to. So they can use a total of 5 types. They can't pick 2 types from the same Nation.
  • Both types are picked simultaneously, both Nations are unaware of the other's picks until they reveal theirs.
  • Either finalist Nation can lock any 2 types from the opposing Nation's allies - these types can't be picked. Either 1 type from each ally or 2 types from the same ally may be locked.

The matchups:

  • Instead of 5 players, both rosters will have 9 players: 5 from the finalist, and 4 from their allies. They may bring 4 subs: 2 from the finalists and 1 from each ally.
  • Each finalist gets to pick 2 players and 1 sub from each one of their allies and add them to the roster (if the picked player(s) are unable/unwilling to battle this week, they must pick others).
  • After the rosters are revealed, the finalists will take turns deciding who battles who: they pick someone from their roster to fight someone from the opposing nation's roster.
  • Anyone can fight anyone: the Nation leader vs a common pleb, natives vs allies, etc.
  • The Nation with the worst overall score picks the first match, then the other picks the second, then the first Nation picks the third, and so forth. (the Nation with the best overall score ends up deciding the last 2 matches).

The tiers:

  • Yea you heard me. Tiers, the plural of tier. After a matchup is decided, the side that chose that matchup also gets to choose the tier it's played in.
  • The available tiers are the following:

OU, UU, RU, NU, PU, LC, Ubers, Anything Goes, Doubles OU, Doubles UU, Doubles Ubers, VGC 2018, Gen 6 OU, Gen 5 OU, Gen 4 OU

Each tier can only be chosen for a matchup once. That applies for both sides: if a finalist picks a tier for one of the matchups, the opposing side can't pick that tier anymore.

And that's it really. Didn't get OMs in bc too crazy and you had plenty recently, and sometimes they can be zzzzzzzzzzz to plan for, and this is already super crazy, and uhhh yea. Also you have 15 choices quit whining.

Regarding the picking of the allied nations since the gayzers have a 2 point lead at least mgrmgrgrmgrmgrmgr they get to pick both of their allies first. The other finalists get the leftovers. Also they may not be exactly allies since they're forced to fight on one side or the other but owell whatchu gonna do
